In a toxic relationship with Honeybook
At first, HoneyBook was everything I needed. I could send invoices, collect signatures, schedule payments, capture leads, communicate with clients, receive payments, and keep my books organized all in one place. It felt like the perfect solution for my business. But lately, our relationship has become toxic... Simple tasks have become frustratingly difficult. I can’t reliably open or publish invoices. Sending emails is a gamble because they can sit loading for hours, sometimes days. Emails also randomly generate strange script, dashes, and special characters that make my messages look unprofessional. The most frustrating part is that I know how good HoneyBook used to be. That’s what’s keeping me here. I keep hoping things will improve because when it worked, it worked really well. Right now, though, I’m seriously considering other options. Especially for how much I am being charged each month. I need software that helps me run my business, not software that creates more work and stress. If HoneyBook can fix these performance and reliability issues, I’d love to stay. But at the moment, it feels like I’m holding onto what the relationship used to be instead of what it is now.
Overall good, but expensive fees
Overall very useful, but transaction fees on top of the monthly fee adds up.
Bugs
Fix the bugs yall. I’ve been using yall for 6 years and never had an issue this bad like shesh. I stopped paying 60 monthly because of it.
iPad version
I just wish that I could use the whole screen for my iPad to work with this app

This had made my life so much easier running my business. I wish I would have known about it years ago.
Awful. Just use a different CRM. Honeybook is a waste of money.
They will not resolve issues for you. Ive been locked out of my account because my 2FA is not working and they can’t help me even download my contracts. All of this given they charge much higher than standard CRM/Invoicing platforms. If you don’t want your business to be in trouble SERIOUSLY AVOID them.
Lacking Editing Ability in App
I love honeybook and all of its capabilities but I feel like the editing abilities in the app are seriously lacking. I can’t edit lead forms or smart files and if I’m on the go and need to do something like this quickly it hurts to have to wait till I’m in front of my desktop to get that done.
The phone app
I was on the fence whether or not I was gonna renew this year. The convenient workflow and honestly, the templates for the contracts are really what made me conveniently stick around however, the amount of times I’ve gotten frustrated with the phone app because it either crashes or freezes. It’s really inconvenient. Me just going to my desktop instead of trying to quickly handle something on the phone.
No IPAD App
Not bad on the phone sure but need to adapt for IPAD Please!
HoneyBook SAVED my business
I can’t say enough good things about HoneyBook. They truly helped shape my entire business model and the way I communicate with my clients on a professional level is just amazing! If you have a business you NEED HoneyBook!
Ai driven slop..
OS is awful unless you are on an iPad/phone. Support staff very kind but not helpful at all, as they rely on AI to handle most problems and every person who was responded to my problems addresses a slightly different problem than the one I asked about. At least the AI attempted to answer my question correctly and not skimming it. Contracts are such a disaster I paid for adobe for 2 yrs as well just so I could avoid the impending doom of using Honeybooks. After just one… just one contract use….my 3 years of frustration has come to an end. Like an abusive relationship I have finally built up the courage to cut the cord. This service is worth $5 a month tops… and that may be a stretch. I wish good health and happiness but please save your mental health and use another app… heck even goggle docs is a better option than this.

Love the Desktop Version but App Doesn’t Work
I’ve been using HoneyBook to run my business for several years and love the desktop version. Hands down the best CRM platform I’ve found. Unfortunately the App is basically unusable since anytime I try to create or pull up a file for a project in the mobile version, I just get a blank page and the circle of death. This is true both on my iPhone and iPad. This means I have to bring my laptop everywhere if I want to access files, and if I need to send something on the run or while traveling without my laptop, I can’t. Very disappointing and inconvenient given the price point.
Need more flexibility with the quote/Invoice & recipients email should look normal in their inbox.
It would be great to have the quote or invoice with multi invoice in one with grand total for all in the end. For example divide by date or events when there is multi location and with multiple events but one client and contract. The recipients email should look normal in their inbox. Email comes boxed into another box and looks very small. Portal link is very hidden as well. Client experience in their inbox is not so great.
Love it
As an event planner and designer, it makes bookings so much easier to have saved templates, contracts, a mailing list and automations.

No phone call help and tech support is awful!!

I have the hardest time doing the simplest things. Their mobile version is inadequate and I use my iPad for everything.
Bigger isn’t better
I’ve noticed a lot more glitches in the iPhone app since they’ve developed more advanced options. As a whole, I find their interface is extremely slow and glitchy. I appreciate all the new features when they work properly.

10/10! No compliants. So happy I found HoneyBook. Best system I’ve came across for my business.

App needs more functions
Great desktop but a sub par mobile app
Lots of bugs lately
Over the past couple months the app has been so glitchy. Anytime I try to add a smart file to a project the app freezes up and I’m forced to quit it. I’ve contacted the HoneyBook support team multiple times about this with no solution. I’m forced to only use the desktop version of HoneyBook which is extremely frustrating. For the price, this shouldn’t be an issue I have to deal with.
Barely functional
Like so much of HoneyBook, it works…more or less. But. Its features are hidden 3 layers deep in menus. Menus pop up UNDER the keyboard, so they’re inaccessible, etc. It’s not great. But if you use Honey lol, it’s your option. If you’re considering HoneyBook though. 697 should consider whether the mobile app is crucial for you.
Photographer/Owner
I’ve been using HoneyBook for 5 years to manage my photography and photo booth business, and it has truly been a game changer. Having everything in one place has streamlined my entire workflow—from client communication and billing to tracking, automations, and all the behind-the-scenes admin work. Over the years, the continued updates and integrations have only made it more powerful and efficient. At this point, the only things I handle outside of HoneyBook are my website and gallery delivery. It’s been an incredible tool that has played a major role in the growth and organization of my business.
Clunky
I want to like this more but it’s clunky af. The app takes too long to load the intro screen, then more time to go from menu to menu. It’s 2026- nobody has time to sit around waiting for loading pages in a CRM/invoicing app I’m now looking at pixieset.
It’s Getting Worse
I used to LOVE this app. I would recommend it to all my business friends. Now, I don’t know what is going on. I keep having glitches, they charge a lot to process payments and it’s one problem after another when using the mobile app. I’ve literally lost money because of this app. Very discouraging.
App Not great!
Have issues all the time while trying to send proposals to clients from the app. Been going on for years and still no fix!
Event Planner
HoneyBooks has made tracking my event easy. I get notifications when things are happening. The custom automations are a life saver.
Unusable on iPad
This app is completely unusable on my iPad Pro. I am currently trying to send an email but clicking on send does nothing. I’ve closed and reopened. Re-installed. Nothing. What good is a CRM if I cannot communicate with clients?

I love the app on my computer and cell phone however on my apple tablet the view is as I was viewing it on my cell phone. There screen is cell phone size . It’s not sized for a tablet.
Love this app!
This app is so great and easy to use! It’s made a real difference in my business having Mobil access to my customers in real time.
Not always easy to use for multiple reasons
1. For clients with weddings that require multiple dates of coverage like south Asian weddings, I cannot assign multiple dates in the contract that populates into the calendar.. so that calendar syncing is useless to me. 2. There should be a feature to just select physical payments to avoid credit card and bank transfers fees. Somehow sync with zelle would be great. 3. This app is not working on my new iPhone 13 pro. The screen keeps buffering even though I deleted and re-installed app. All other apps that I use are working fine on my phone. 4. Everytime I try to add a vendor contact that is not part of HoneyBook, the system says “error”.
App keeps crashing !
Literally was working fine and now I can’t create a new project without it crashing every 10 seconds
Missing key features
No integrations with ProtonMail is a huge setback, also, only being able to create one “pipeline” seems primitive, the way I fulfill a logo/design is different than the way I fulfill a website vs the way I run an SEO campaign.. why aren’t we able to have multiple pipelines hmm..
Convenient, but the mobile experience needs work
The HoneyBook app is useful for staying on top of my business while I’m on the go. I can respond to inquiries, check projects, and send invoices without needing to be at my computer, which is a big plus during busy days. That said, the mobile experience could definitely be improved. The calendar interface isn’t very intuitive, you have to pull it down from the top instead of just seeing a full monthly view and selecting dates easily. It slows things down more than it should. The UI for contracts and invoices also feels a bit clunky. Navigating between screens isn’t as smooth as I’d expect, and switching between different sections can feel slow at times. I’m not expecting the app to fully match the desktop version, but a cleaner, more responsive UI would make a big difference. Overall, it’s helpful, but there’s room for improvement in usability and performance.

App is very slow to respond I need to update interface to be iPad compatible.Websites also very slow to respond and the prices went up without any new updates or changes
App crashes - iPhone 16
With the most recent update the app is now unusable as it crashes immediately upon opening it. Also in my personal opinion heavily preferred the previous app icon/logo in cursive over this one!
App keeps crashing
The app was working so well for a month or so, then it randomly logged me out and won’t log me back in (still works on desktop). When I go to reset password the whole app crashes

Honestly saves me. It is basically my manager of my business and I adore this so much.
Slow, slow, and slow
I genuinely can’t understand how a company that just felt the need to dramatically increase their price is able to maintain their business with an app that is this slow and buggy. I need 10 seconds for the app to register anything I do. I have to wait another 10 seconds for it to update and then provide me with another view of my dashboard and then another 10 seconds to actually interact with it. My notifications won’t go away even though I’ve repeatedly tapped the clear all notifications button. It’s clear that HoneyBook wants a top quality experience that’s feature packed and easily manipulated via a mobile phone. It’s also clear that this is a problem amongst the users and they’ve done nothing tangible to improve it. BUT THANK THE GOOD LORD WE HAVE AI INTEGRATED IN MY PAYMENT PROCESSOR FOR SOME REASON Edit: I now cannot and have not been able to apply automations to new leads for over a week now. They’re actively taking money out of my pocket.
Slow and buggy
Desktop will save you time and frustration. Good for keeping an eye on stats but not invoicing or updating customer info or project time log
Great on desktop but mobile is not ideal
Would be amazing to have an iPad optimized version, also updated tool abilities. I love working on the go so mobile use of tools and customization whether phone or tablet would probably be helpful for many users.
