BetterMe
I been using this app for years and I can honestly say it’s been very helpful, I observed myself more than ever I think before reacting, stop self sabotaging myself, have more empathy, compassion, humility and I’m more self aware that I am my worst enemy.it helped me realize it really is me vs me. Super grateful the BetterMe Team
Scam
I wouldn’t even begin to consider downloading this app. They’ll offer you a free trial then next thing you know you’re getting charged for a month’s subscription. Then when you cancel that subscription, guess what? You’ll still be getting charged and won’t be able to download any other apps or pay for the subscriptions you do have and use. Apple support will say they can’t help, have to reach out to the app. The app will provide steps on how to cancel the subscription (which has already happened, had they read your email thoroughly they would know that) and tell you there hands are tied and you should contact Apple. It’s an absolute joke and complete scam because to be able to use your apps that you pay for or even download more apps, they’re going to get that initial charge out of you. COMPLETE SCAM, and don’t want to be that person but the only reason they have a star at all is because I couldn’t submit this otherwise.
Big help
Just cost so much!!
AI Slop
I really enjoy the articles but the use of AI voices made the breathing exercises and meditations unbearable.
App
Been two years since I’ve had the app and nothing has changed about my decision making on keeping this app. The learning style is unique and you will take away something from this app.

Do Your Research
UPDATE: I was refunded. However canceling this subscription should not have been so difficult and frustrating. Do your research on this company before signing up. After my signing up and finding I wasn’t using the app I cancelled my subscription just after a couple of weeks. Fast forward to 3-months later I get a charge of almost $100. In contacting them (which you can only do by email) they were unwilling to work with me because they had no record of my canceling. Even after attempting to cancel again, the representative told me they had no activity showing my cancellation(s). So there very well could be an issue, but their response was basically a template they use to reiterate their terms and conditions. In addition, I never once received any notifications (email or in app) of a subscription ending and/or renewing. Check Reddit & Trustpilot for information from other consumers. In summary they are known for their “tricky subscription cancellations”.
Bite-sized, easily digestible, and like sips of water throughout the day for your soul.
I am kind of an expert when it comes to Meditation apps. I use Headspace, Calm, Insight Timer, as well as others and this is very helpful and great to have to turn to at any time of day or night for that matter. Headspace is great for meditation for people that like to do 10 to 20 minute meditations every morning. This is great throughout the day for dealing with anything that comes up. Awesome app would recommend it to all.
Lying about 7 days free trial
Downloaded the app, got a week free trial, decided to try. And next morning realised I was immediately charged £34.99. Now requesting a refund, but that’s not ok. It is supposed to be a good app, but this ruins the experience
La mejor!
La mejor app de salud mental
Instant difference in my life!
I read one article and this app spoke to me, super excited to see how this app can be a tool to finding myself again.
This app is a scam
Do not download this app it is total bs. I signed up for a one month subscription and they have been charging my credit card for the last 6 months. Also customer support is terrible, good luck getting a refund.
Increase courses
I wish it had more micro learning courses I only saw two Heal your childhood trauma and Mental reset I’m going through the meditation exercises and it helps I want to heal my childhood trauma so I don’t pass it on to my kids
Quitting too often
I do like the contents of the app especially the micro learning workshops. But a big problem is that those workshops unexpectedly quit too often. Thai is frustrating as I can not continue those workshops which I really like! I have to delete and reinstall the app to do those workshops again.
Great
I love this app so much cause it helped me be better in my life I acually feel like I’m getting my life back this is so wonderful maul and I love how it dosent make you get the premium version and still gives you stuff to do
Impossible to cancel
They purposely make this very difficult to cancel. I canceled through APP after first week of usage as the app did not suite me. Continued to be billed the following year. Was told i actually subscribed via website and needed to cancel via website not app! Very poor business practices
Christine
I feel like this app will truly help 2 overcome childhood trauma, iti’ve only just begun but it looks promising!😌
Words repeating like a broken record
The meditations and breathing exercises are pretty good. However, I’m going through the childhood trauma meditation course and as I get further into the sessions, the voice over is repeating words and half of sentences. The quality is seemingly getting worse and more and more repeats are happening the further into the course I get. This is pretty distracting when you are mid meditation and I do not feel like I’m getting the full benefit that I otherwise would be. Clearly they have used AI to do the voiceovers, but haven’t invested in sufficient quality checking that is required when using AI. It’s a bit disappointing considering you pay a subscription to use the app and I will be canceling my subscription because of this.
Très contente
J’adore l’application sa m’aide extrêmement pour mes grosse crise d’anxiété
It definitely made a Better ME
I was doubtful but so glad I trusted Better Me. It’s things we know but with me have a guide is everything
Look for Something Else!!
This is a rip off unfortunately and WAY overpriced. Now that I have an in person therapist it’s very clear. Be warned!
i like it
it is practical
Bitter...
Ich kann nur abraten! Was soll das denn?
Good app but too expensive
This is a helpful app with bite size and approachable tasks however it’s just too expensive to continue to subscribe to.
On my Body and mind
It’s amazing feeling when I practice it.
Refund
I got charged for a subscription it was like $21 or something as soon as I saw they charged me I canceled the subscription and requested a refund. The refund request got denied and I don’t have access to my subscription so I basically got charged 21 dollars for nothing.
Love but one feature should that should be added
I love the app but i think the developers should add a breathing exercise for stress in order to calm you down and feel less stressed as there isnt an option for stress
Satisfactory
I’m not to far into it but the voices aren’t very calming, I wish there was more reading material because I can’t always listen and it’s way to expensive for what it is. There is a lot of free alternatives in the App Store
Schade
Amazing help
It helped so much with stress and anxiety
Don’t honor their own policies
While the service has its upsides the biggest issue is their deceptive billing practices. No mentions of charging TRIPLE the signed up for price. They also offer a money back guarantee “if you are dissatisfied for ANY REASON” and then will try to tell you all purchases are final, not honoring their own money back guarantee. There are other apps that do this same thing better, cheaper, and without the deception. Choose a different one from betterme.
Une belle découverte
J’adore Me, me donne la chance de faire des entrene ment de méditations et de m’améliorer comme personne .
I’m not sure how this app has managed to get so many good reviews
I have meditated using Headspace for years, I am on my second day and already regretting spending the money I have on this. Hopefully it will improve but I’m not holding my breath. Disappointing
Ok and Not
The app is OK. Click baiting users into buying the subscription with “chakra alignment plans” and offering just 6 short audios on that subject is NOT OK.
Meditation
This helped me pause and get into a relaxed mindset. I drifted into a nice sleep.
Pointless for breakups
Feels like talking to AI pointless just get a real therapist. Paid for a 4 week subscription and cancelled a week in. Guess who got charged 3 weeks later.
Better Me review
I’m only rating 4 stars as it’s only been two days. I’m really liking it so far. I was in an emotional crisis and it’s helped me so much. I’ve been spreading a lot of time on it since I downloaded yesterday. The different categories that they’ve developed for different stresses is a great idea as I was feeling more sad and anxious as opposed to angry and irritated. The breathing and affirmation exercises are very helpful. I recommend this app. I’ve gotten the one month trail on sale. It was nice to have that option for a good price for that length of time. Thank you to the creators of this app. It came up while I was browsing Pinterest.
Nightmare
The app was okay but trying to cancel subscription is extremely difficult and reverses any good work the app might do. I feel like I will be stuck paying for an app I no longer use. Cannot get any customer support. Buyer beware.
Oh Gott..
Sehr albtraumhaft
Amazing
This app is amazing. The meditations are amazing. Literally I always feel 10 times calmer after I use this app and it is so worth the price. It has helped me so much connect with my inner peace. I have noticed that self-care is so much better. I have so much more self-confidence more energy throughout the day. I’m much more happy and I always feel amazing.!
Being scammed
I deleted this app months ago, and I am still being charged 65$/month - this unacceptable and must stop, as well as a refund issued to my account.
Great app, and amazing features
My honest review is that it’s a great app, with great features. Only reason it doesn’t get a 5 is because you have to pay for it past the first week.
Automatic renewal after trial
Was automatically charged after trail didn't realise.
Etwas einseitig
Wonderful
Love it
Misleading Auto-Renewal & No Refund – Very Disappointed
I’m extremely disappointed with BetterMe customer service. Without any warning or notification, they auto-renewed my subscription at twice the previous price. I received no email or in-app alert beforehand, which feels completely deceptive. I noticed the charge the same day it was processed and immediately reached out for a refund—but was told they don’t offer refunds, even though I hadn’t used the service in months. For an app that promotes mental wellness, this experience felt exploitative and stressful. Transparent billing and fair customer support are basic expectations and BetterMe failed on both. I won’t be using or recommending this app to anyone.
Good
Good helps me be calm
Annoyed with myself
I thought I’d give it a go, why not? 7 day trial for free , then they start charging after the 7 days. I think I only used it maybe twice, I just didn’t find it was that useful or helpful. The voices felt too AI and just couldn’t relax to it if anything some made me laugh cause of how mediocre the voices were . The supposed relaxing sounds didn’t help either, i got charged that $39.99 cause it slipped my mind and I wished I canceled before this happened… money I will never get back.
