Finally THE app that works
I have so many breath and meditation apps and this is by far the best. I go outside with a mat in the morning open my arms for three deep breaths and then sit for the short meditations. I am able to connect and let go at the same time. The prompts are always relevant!!! And the space left between them is perfect. It helped me to quit smoking for 9 months. Thank you!!
Criminals do not touch this app, please
This has been a nightmare, dealing with these corrupt no good People. They will scream from the start by not allowing you to put it on your own card, but make you go through their website their company to process your payment. And then they set it up so you are not able to cancel. I had to cancel my Apple Card and order a new one because they refuse to cancel my seven day free trial. I sent eight emails to them. They responded to one since in your profile information a snapshot of it which I did and they would take care of it and they never responded to all the rest of the emails. Three hours of wasted time from these SOB stay away please their crooks. Don’t pay any attention to any other reviews. They probably wrote them to themselves!

More Self-help than Meditation
The promotion made it seem like it was a mindfulness meditation app, it’s more self-help, not what I was looking for. Very responsive customer service is a plus.
Watch for unauthorized charges
I was charged $150 USD without authorization by Open. While the company did refund the $150 USD, I ultimately received less back due to exchange-rate differences and foreign transaction fees, leaving me out of pocket ~$12 CAD. Because this charge was not authorized and originated from their platform, I expected to be fully reimbursed. Unfortunately, support stated they could not compensate for the currency difference and suggested it was outside their control. While the refund process itself was quick, customers should be aware that unauthorized charges may still result in unrecovered losses due to currency conversion, which is disappointing.
Good but too expensive
250 AUD for a monthly subscription is too steep a price for a lifestyle app. Yes the meditation program is incredible but I think they’re exaggerating at this point. Too bad, I really enjoyed it.
Worth the purchase
This is the best meditation app out there, hands down. Meditation, breath, sound, movement. I love it.

This morning meditation was lovely !
Love it my most used app, but search button needs to exist
Honestly just download it. DO IT. Your life will change for the better you be a happier better person, your body will feel and look better (and that’s without doing any of the movement just breath and meditation.) Only thing, the search bar needs to come back up for looking for a practice instead of that AI thing. Not needed. Frankly it doesn’t ever give me what I need, it looking for something I don’t want some robot tk tell me what’s best for my mood. I can figure it out through classic search bar options instead and it’s much easier that way.
Inconsistent, disappointing design
The audio is good. The app design is not. All the branding on the website looks amazing but the app is not consistent with that so it feels very disconnected and the app just looks bad in comparison.
Customer service disappointing
The app is amazing, however i was charged twice within a few days and kindly asked for it to be looked into. They stopped replying to me one week ago after i explained the conversion rate of $US to $AU is different, and I have two full month charges debited from my bank account within days of each other …I have paid $60 within the same month .. Disappointing as I really like the app
Subscribed in 2022
I have spent over 3,000 minutes of my life in practice with this app. This app has become an integral component in my healing, the tools that Open provides are accessible and indispensable. The guided breathwork is unlike anything I’ve found elsewhere. There are yoga classes for every style your body might be craving. The meditations, the soundscapes.. everything is high quality. I love this app, having access to these modalities is worth the investment.
TRASH APP
Meditations are trash and they Truly they are THIEVES. After you experience the free trial and cancel IN TIME, they will literally steal your info and attempt to draw from your bank even AFTER BLOCKING THEM FOR FRAUD. You can’t be this Despicable and desperate for users that you have to STEAL to get ahead.
Please just a one time payment
In my opinion, you should just make it a one-time payment, even if it is expensive. But most people I know nowadays don't want to pay for a subscription. Obviously, it's hard to get a continual or reliable revenue source, but I suggest there should be at least an option for people like me, so you could also get money from them. But other than that, I love the app and also the calm vibe of it. There should be more courses without soundscapes, because these weird sounds of music in the meditation apps nowadays are really frustrating and irritating. Maybe it's just me, and I just need to practice more at letting go of the trigger by the music.
App not working properly
When I open the app, nothing loads. I have to open the search function, wait a while then go back to the Home Screen before something loads
Amazing but not always affordable
I absolutely love the classes and challenges on Open, however I can’t always afford the monthly subscription and now they’ve taken away any free classes. Please bring back a handful of free meditation, move and breathe classes for those who can’t always afford the subscription! I don’t want to give up my meditation structure as Open have some of the best available :(

Helped with sleep
I used Open out of curiosity, but quickly found that it helped me go straight to sleep when my mind was super wired before bed! It’s a little on the expensive side, and I feel you get more value out of it if you’re based in the US, but I still find it helpful to use, not entirely sure why but I prefer it much more to headspace, maybe because it’s a little looser and less regimented, not sure, but enjoying it so far!
Beautiful app
I’m currently enjoying a free trial but I will probably stay subscribed annually at the end of it, this is the only meditation/health app that I’ve wanted to consistently use and have been excited to use everyday. It’s aesthetically pleasing, the teachers are great and there’s a good variety of classes. My only issue is that classes can’t be downloaded (or I haven’t figured out how to download?). This means I can’t use it when visiting my parents in the countryside for the weekend, for a midday reset at work, to wake up on my commute to work or chill out on my way home as all of these locations have spotty internet access at best - not to mention these are the situations when I feel I need this app the most! This really limits where I can use it to my home, where I seem to barely spend any time, and I feel quite restricted by that, it’s definitely something I have to take into consideration when deciding to keep my subscription.
Love the purpose of this app
I have been a member for 2 years or more and can’t say enough he good things. I love how if you commit and stay consistent it trains fro mind and therefore your life.

If you forget to cancel the free trial it will charge you $150 which is absurd for an app like this
refreshing experience
the UI is beautiful and the structure of the daily meditation library makes me comes back so I can be consistent. I just wish it was cheaper. I love using the free trial and think the experience is lovely but from a Canadian standpoint since the prices are all shown in USD, it’s way too much. It leaves me on the fence about committing fully to the experience. I also don’t see the point of the sprinkles of social media? It’s cool having an account but why the follower and following aspect? It’s not a big deal but it’s social media and algorithms make it difficult for us to have a better peace of mind. So for it low-key exist within the app threw me off a bit. Otherwise 10/10 across the board :D
Life Change
This app helped me regulate my nervous system and build routine. Essentially it helped me change my life. It’s the most important part of my day and it’s made me excited to get up early and quiet my mind first thing. I also enjoy it in the sauna at night or before bed to calm down after a busy day and return to myself. An essential part of my day and life.
Unauthorized Charges
I only signed up for the trial of this app, and cancelled it after a few days. At the end of the period however, they still tried to charge my card $150. Beware of their free trial - it’s a shady practice.
A great start
I love the app interface and the variety of classes. I’ve been using the app for over a year for their mediation, breath work, and movement offerings. I like that it’s not overwhelming to choose what I’ll practice and Manoj has the most relaxing voice. The two things that I’d like to see improve for the app are search/organization functionality when looking for what to practice, and more sleep mediation options. I would like to see better filtering options: by length, by practitioner, and by tags (e.x. Level of intensity for move classes, or visualization for meditations). There are great prompts for the shorter daily mediations that spur introspection and reflection. But I feel like the diversity of long mediations is lacking. I am desperate for more long (20+ mins) visualization options for sleep meditations, there are really only body scans/breath counting options. Because of all the body scans I’ve done through the app, I realize I prefer and can more easily fall asleep to a visualization where I don’t have to think about my body or breath at all. I use mediations to fall asleep almost every night and I’ve started using a new app for this, so I might inevitably leave Open if the options don’t improve.
Best for a disorganized brain
I’ve tried 4 other meditation apps, and this one has been the absolute best for me and my extremely busy, disorganized brain. It’s the only one I’ve found that has a consistent format across different teachers, both in the meditation and the yoga/movement videos, which are all filmed in the same studio spaces. That familiarity helps me with consistency and therefore discipline to use the app almost daily. As a bonus, when you open the app, you get a daily meditation taking decision making away (especially great when I have decision fatigue). You can skip it and go into a meditation or program of your choice, but when I’m overwhelmed I can get a meditation out of the way just by hitting one button. That streamlined process can turn my whole day around, and I am frequently grateful for it. Highly recommend!!!
Took my money
I signed up for the trial and canceled it, however I’m still charged the $20 for the month. But this purchase doesn’t even show I had a subscription or purchase within my apple account. I would like a refund
Pretty good for meditation but breathing sounds are gross and creepy
I got the monthly plan immediately because I worried I would forget to cancel the yearly before the free trial was over. It was worth it so I have stuck with it and it seems cancellable. It has been a really great reintroduction to meditation after a long break. I used to use headspace and calm but I do best when I have a “course” that I’m following so I don’t have to try to get acclimated to a new topic everyday and neither of the other apps have updated their courses in what seems like a decade so I’ve been searching for a while. So far I’m loving the open nervous system reset, although I wish it was all the same instructor. Also I really really wish it were possible to quiet the breathing sounds. They really creep me out and my stress level spikes during those parts. It sounds like a nightmare. Please make that stop.

Great app but annoying voices.
Really love this app but only one person has a nice soothing voice (Manoj) - the other people have annoying voices which make it hard to relax.
Can’t Quite Live Without It
I keep meaning to cancel Open.com because of the cost, and because I also have Calm (for less than half the price). But then I do a meditation with Manoj or Olivia, and I’m hooked again. They’re just so good. I love the variety of the daily meditations—breath work, mini sound baths, contemplations (not my faves, but nice in the mix). I rarely use the other amazing features (the movement, extended meditations, etc), but when I do, they’re great. So even though I don’t take advantage of all that the app offers, I just can’t get rid of it because they do such a wonderful job at helping to keep me sane!
Cannot communicate with app
I cannot afford the $20/month for breath work. Plus, it doesn’t work for me. I get conveniently logged out over and over every time I try to get into my account to cancel and I don’t get a response from the team when I email them.
