It’s okay
The app is okay. But for us ore ta that are busy and finally allowing our children to have a phone, we need an app that will walk us step by step set up the app. I also would like for the app to do more to scan messages and give a clear way to block our child’s internet access .
Time limit errors
The Time limits worked fine during the 14 day trail. On the paid subscription the time limits doesn’t work properly; will not lock the phone as per the shedule.

Keeps everyone honest and let's me double check for complete piece of mind you do need a computer for the texts but location is very accurate best app out there so far!! Compare to bark!

Great parental control option
I had a few kinks in getting things set up but since then has been a simple to use safeguard for a phone.
Does not work like it’s supposed to.
Lack of customer service with this app. They only email you, which can take up to 24 hrs for a response. Not as equipped to handle iPhones as it portrays. Very frustrating.
Ok
Suddenly I can’t see phone calls and contacts that I have blocked are still able to call. I can’t figure out why and it’s quite frustrating since I pay for this app. It’s not as reliable as I’d hoped.
Helpful tool
Upset kids must be the ones giving this 1 star. My kids understand I’m trying to keep them safe, and this has been a helpful tool.
not a user intuitive or user friendly app for monitoring
I have installed this on my daughter‘s iPhone and my two little ones iPads. The app is so buggy. With how seamless apps are made these days mmguardian feels like it’s running on 10-year-old software. The location feature is horrible. It doesn’t just show you where the device is located. Location features have been known to find missing people and missing children. This alone is enough for me to not be returning as a user . I paid for the year so I will use it for the year, but I definitely suggest you try it first before buying it. After the year is that I will not be using this app for my children.

Child’s point of view
I hope the parents hear me out on this, I love the fact that you want to protect your child and keep them safe from harm’s way. I’ve had a history of interacting with random people, on social media. My mother downloaded the app to prevent me from doing so! I’ve grown out of it actually, and the reason i talked to people because i wasn’t doing well socially. Sometimes it’s best checking on your child before restricting! I also suggest healthy amounts of restricting, I only have 1 - 3 hrs on my phone everyday, i’m 15 yrs old and feel i could use less restrictions. And possibly they’re on their phones because they have nothing else to do! But restricting does cause sneaky behavior, pls give some privacy. Thank you❤️❤️ P.S app works great, can’t access some sites but it has problems sending parents inappropriate warnings, i watched a TikTok of something not very good as it popped up on my fyp, and my mother didn’t get a notification.

I like the control that this gives me over my teenager’s phone. Helps me feel more confident in their safety.
Needs work
There really isn’t that many apps out there that work properly. The app feels behind the times. Sometimes takes a while to complete a command. When you go into the messages to see your child’s exchange it repeats messages, you can’t see photos or hear voice notes. If you block the phone but your child turns their phone off then when they turn it back on the timer stays as it was and then the unlock button doesn’t work properly
It’s ok for android
Sadly, I need to monitor my husband on iPhone and my kids on android and this requires me to get his phone close to the computer to get a download when that is very inconvenient for me.

How do u scratch the changes the parent has made to the child's phone so it goes back to normal?

Non fosse possibile disinstallarla dal telefono del proprio figlio, come per esempio succede con family link che non è in alcun modo possibile disinstallare se non con l’autorizzazione del genitore. Ho scritto anche al supporto che mi ha risposto velocemente la prima volta, suggerendomi di fare alcuni passaggi per evitare la disinstallazione, ma non ha comunque funzionato, peccato!

Impossible to get started on iPhone
I know that many detailed reviews point out that getting started with the app in the Google ecosystem is much simpler than in Apple, but I am on day 2 of self-troubleshooting and still don’t have all of the features working. Some highlights: 1) the App used my password as my account name. Have not successfully been able to change it as, insanely, that permission lives on my daughter’s phone; 2) you have to download 3 separate apps; the permissions and functions of each are as clear as the Mississippi River; 3) In order for the Parental App to work you need a “Family Plan” in iTunes. If you already had one set up, you have to delete it and start over; 4) there is NO real-time customer support. “FAQs” and email is all they offer — why I am on day 2 of install. I would cancel if I could get a refund, but I naively paid for a full year of service. I am certain that no one of real influence at MMGuardian has ever tried to install their apps end-to-end on an iPhone.

There is no option for zero stars I would give you that what’s the purpose of having a app when you cannot monitor what’s going on on your kids phone or how they are using the phone and you guys charge for it too what’s the purpose of it if the app doesn’t work I want my money back.
It’s not bad
This app is easy to use! I do wish they had a custom service to call! It would make this easier if the regular messaging could be used instead of the mmguardian app! It’s very glitchy and will sometimes crash the phone that’s being monitored! If we set the default messages to the phone messages it doesn’t monitor anything, and then it’s just a waste of money! Anyway, it is very easy to use you can and will see pretty much everything! If there are any pictures, you will have to go to the monitored phone to view those pictures if they didn’t get deleted!

Avoid until they get customer service, or forever
No customer service number and the email team sends instructions that don't work. I've wasted hours of my life trying to fully set this app of to no avail. Oh, and don't bother with their phone - turns out it's just a Samsung phone that is NOT preloaded with MMGuardian so you are buying a regular phone that requires you to download their app that doesn't work.

Awful
Have to say this experience has been awful. Four days of trying to set this up and it’s still not working. I’m using an iPad to try to monitor my Child’s iPhone. I just get error message “Phon ID is not present in the database”. I have contacted the help email address but I just get a generic unrelated response. I have 10 days of the trial left. I will give it a couple more days and delete the app if it doesn’t work
Peace of mind
It’s good that I can control what apps are on my child’s phone. Sends alerts when potential inappropriate images are received and the same with messages . Tells me how long his been on each app and I can lock or unlock her phone from mine when I like .
Finally! I can monitor texts
I have 5 kids. Our rule is you earn your freedom and privacy. One of my kids is my troublemaker and has gotten himself some very dangerous situations so we monitor his phone. This is the first app that I can see his text messages. My other kids I don’t need to worry about this stuff and I want them to have their privacy. However, this has already saved my child. The only thing is it can’t monitor is his FaceTime videos
