Other brands let you see what others have uploaded to the frame. I gifted one to my mother for her birthday so me and my wife could upload photos of my baby but there’s no way to tell if someone uploaded the same photo without subscribing.

Great way to have lots of photos (or videos I think?) in one frame. Only has to be online for uploading photos, but works fine offline after that.
Terrible App.
The reviews for this app came before Frameo’s greedy leadership made it so that you can’t delete photos from the frame without paying them money. This was once a capability. Now, they ask for a subscription to access your frame’s photos to delete old photos. They say you can delete them physically on the frame. What a joke. This is what is wrong with the world right now—stupid greed.
Great Conversation Piece
We set up ours near our dinner table. Our children will ask us about a certain picture, and we’ll explain our memory of that day. Great way to keep your family close and engaged. One big complaint though … every picture should always automatically show the “date taken” (or allow the option). If you select “shuffle” as your slide show, the caption defaults to the “date uploaded”, and there’s no way to change it … the only way the “date taken” captions will display, is if you select “chronological order” for your slide show (most people prefer random slide shows, chronological just seems slow if you’re adding hundreds or thousands of pictures, and people naturally loose interest). I went through every single picture after uploading (close to a thousand pictures) and had to manually add my own captions with the date (also added the location taken as well). If they could somehow extract this information from each photo and give you the option to display it on random, it would save so much time and energy for people. My advice for people; only add 10 photos at a time and add the captions as you upload. It takes a bit of time for the app to process your photos, but once they’re processed, they’ll be in your history and you can quickly send them to other people have a FrameO. That one big pain in the butt aside, it’s pretty decent, I bought one for my mother and my in-laws as well, so we can share photos with them.
Problem
Upon opening the app and attempting to delete any duplicate photos.. the app keeps crashing halfway through..
Frame malfunction when changing phones
Bought a new iPhone and now it won’t connect seamlessly like previously/ have updated app and unlinked and relinked but phone is not properly syncing to frame - very frustrating.
Rechargeable battery
The only thing I don’t like is that it doesn’t have a rechargeable battery, I would love to hang it on the wall, but I don’t like the cord😩
Not cool
I’ve been using this app for several years to send photos to my parents and in-laws. I also use one personally. Imagine my surprise when I tried to manage the photos on my own frame as I have before and you no longer have access to that without paying for a subscription. Nope.

Honest review
The frame is great. It works very well and the app is great. Everything uploads very quickly and no lagging. However I understand it’s a business. But you have to have the subscription to delete and rearrange photos. It is cheap it’s only $17 for the year but that feature specifically should have been free. But everything else that’s included in the subscription is worth paying for.
Frame crashes
The frame itself crashes way too easily. Anytime it reboots, it tells you never unplug without turning it off. This is very frustrating when you don’t turn it off, but the dang frame crashes. What about a power outage? Why am I getting admonished in the message when the power went out and I had no control over the power going out?

Calendar
The calendar would be more helpful if it was access to check from my phone too for all the calendars that are added.
Sharing is subscription
I purchased this 15.6 frame for my son. I can pictures to it- but can NOT see the photos on his frame. I recommend AURA frame. I purchased this also in past. And I can see photos on the Aura frame of my other sons without a purchasing a subscription. Disappointing

Can't load photos from phone anymore
Kids and grandkids are connected to frame but the app is not letting us connect to our phone pics anymore. I understand the owner of the frame might find it useful to pay for more features like managing photos but for everyone else just sending then pics, they will not pay to have that feature. Very disappointing.

Mooi maar…
Constant verschijnt de melding “inloggen met wifi vereist” terwijl dit al actief is. Als op de melding tik dan verschijnt een “webview browser tester” met de melding “you are now online” Er is dan geen enkele mogelijkheid om deze browser af te sluiten behalve door de lijst opnieuw op te starten. Waarna dezelfde melding weer oppopt. Kan de melding wel afsluiten maar hij komt dagelijks terug. Please fix it
Not happy but a little less
Still no way that I can see to get to connect to a real person. It appears the only way is to leave a review. Then support team responds promptly. I think it is poor that no contact information is easily accessible. I have been provided with support information but this should be available from within the app and the website. Also, I am reassured that the Frameo+ is still being offered but this is not clear in the promos so the probability is that customers will be more likely to subscribe to the (ridiculously) expense premium subscription. It should be clear that plus is still available. Transparency is sorely lacking. I remain unimpressed with the marketing tactics and customer support processes.

Last update is very upsetting
Bought this frame for my parents so that kids and grandkids from all over could connect and share photos, straight into their living room — cool! But now the most basic feature is behind a paywall?! That’s deplorable. Get ready for backlash… incredibly bad business practice. Please reconsider!
Love it, just one suggestion
I love the frame i have and how easy frameo is to use. I gifted myself a frame and each of my family overseas one so we can all share photos in a more connected and meaningful way instead the photodumps in messages. I also love the collage function, however it wiuld be great if the app/frame could recognise and differentiate between portrait and landscape photos and fill the collages according to that, and to switch perhaps randomly between 3 and 4 photo collages. Also, the combination of photos in collage mode is always the same. This should be shuffled also.
Limited
love the frame but the app is so limited. Tried the paid version still very limited. Can't save to ipad, can't crop edit change captions move it to a folder. Only view on ipad. Cancelling subscription
Pop ups
Great app, but just want to upload a photo and got bombarded with pops ups for new features! Had to select “not now” endlessly so I gave up and family missed out on some nice photos.
Legit 👌
Frameo is a wonderful app, it's easy to figure out, and not over complicated. Allows you to send ten photos at max, which is nice so I don't have to send each picture individually. Best of all it let's you send memories to you loved ones!
Basic function paywalled
Setup is not terribly simple. Connectivity and permissions also not intuitive. Unless it is intentional that the basic app related function of the frame which requires connecting to an account and payment for frameo+ service when nothing is happening besides accessing data on a phone’s storage.

Left us behind
It was great until they did a bunch of “calendar” updates that we didn’t want and now the frame is stuck on a calendar page. Can’t see any photos, and the screen is either non-responsive or lagging so can’t trouble shoot it. Finally just tossed it. I have a hundred digital calendars already - didn’t need another - and now have a non-functional photo frame. Best part? I have another of the same model still in the box that I paid for but hadn’t restarted up. It’s likely trash too. Stay in your lane Frameo - the calendar “upgrade” is trash.
Solid app lacks features
App works well and seems quite reliable. The ability to move the image around in the frame before sending is very limited, so some photos (especially close ups) cut out much of the picture.

Very easy to use especially allowing other people to add their photos in. It would be even better if music could be added as background to photos.
Software keeps crashing
I’m on my third frame now, and whilst the frame is fantastic the software which runs it, is not. It’s very delicate and each time it has crashed after a few months of use, it has been because sleep mode has activated. When you turn the frame on, it gets stuck on the Frameo start up screen…… very disappointed. Spend your money on a different frame.

Needs Subscription to use basic functions? Why?
Got the frameo for Christmas 2025, loved adding photos of my dog and creating a slideshow to share with friends and family when company was over. March 2026: went to add more photos to the slideshow. Can’t even do that without paying for a subscription to use basic functions of the device such as uploading photos? Why? I paid for the device already, why does it need to have a subscription to access the devices basic functionalities?

Dislike these apps that don’t tell you up front that a monthly subscription is required after purchasing to manage your own frame. It’s like buying and then having to lease your own product.

The app keeps repeatedly prompting me to follow on instagram. It’s interfering with my use.
Great frame!
I’ve had this frame for over a year and it’s been great! I’ve had no issues uploading, deleting or changing any of the settings. The pictures upload very quickly. The only thing I wish you could do on the app was filter and remove the duplicates cause sometimes I’ll add the same photo again by accident.
