Cardo PackTalk Pro is absolutely what I needed and use
I originally had the Freecom 4X, upgraded to the 45mm kit and still felt like I was missing something. THEN Cardo comes out with Crash Detection and had to get to PackTalk Pro for my wife’s sanity and glad I did. Seamless, and the DMC it makes an absolute dream to ride along with new riders without having to worry about who has what Comm, etc. music sounds great, conversations come though clear and everyone can hear what I am saying. Great piece of tech and I’m 52 next week and wonder why we didn’t have this sooner! Great purchase with absolutely no regrets
Not what I expected.
Used the Google to get me to a location and decided to try this to get back. Lots of turns in towns, but roads were same as if I chose “No Highway “ with Google.
Ok but needs improvement

Eigentlich ist die App ganz ok, aber es fehlt halt doch noch einiges. Auf der Karte kann man leider nicht wie bei anderen Apps sehen wo man schon lang gefahren ist. Zudem kann man nicht einstellen das gesperrte Straßen umfahren werden sollen. Daher bin ich bei jeder Tour vor mindestens einer Straße die gesperrt ist und die nicht umfahren werden kann. Das ist leider sehr ärgerlich. Daher werde ich diese App nach einem Jahr Pro nicht verlängern, weil es mich jedes Mal ärgert. Da gebe ich lieber mehr Geld um es besser zu bekommen. Schade…
3D Rewind NOT Working
I paid extra for Pro to specifically do the 3D Rewind on my #RideAcrossAmerica but it does NOT work. Please assist!!!

Connectivity is very unreliable
It’s aggravating and a joke amongst many riders that you’ll spend 5-10 minutes prior to a ride troubleshooting the product. It is up to date, connected to phone via Bluetooth and streaming from phone, yet app can’t find it. That says it all right there.
Great Tool but have some suggestions
This app is super useful if you like statistics. It keeps track of your speed distance time as well as little stuff like elevation change which I love to track. It tracks how often you ride and goes super detailed if you pay the subscription however it’s not necessary. Some suggestions I have would be number one rework the mapping part of things when it comes to designing routes. I use this app solely for ride tracking and not route planning as it tends to lag on rides and gets very confusing. Maybe even allow the ability to export to Apple and Google Maps after a route has been planned. Number 2 I would love to see a map blip to pair with the new public mesh feature. Essentially I’m suggesting a little rider icon to appear as it would with the already present pack ride system. The difference being the icon would appear on anyone who opts in. Creating a mini map style hud for riding. Long post but I like the app and can see alot of potential.

Needs to work the bugs out
Cannot control volume on app. Could not hear directions. It had me turn down a dead end street. It totally missed a detour that was not temporary. Took me onto main drag during “curvy” ride. There was some delay in directions too

Best motorcycle app
I tried Calimoto, Rever and Detecht - and Cardo Ride is by far with the best routing and navigation.
Terrible Location Search
I wanted to like this app, so much, but most of the time I attempt to search an address for navigation the search just times out or doesn’t provide a single choice. I tried different address formats and still nothing. It’s pretty terrible and makes the navigation useless.

Landscape mode
This app wind go landscape and that’s how I have to mount my Quad lock mount. This sucks and until they support landscape mode like every other I cannot recommend Cardo Ride and I will not pay for the app if it doesn’t support landscape. Lame!!!!!
Navigation Not Real Time
The navigation has delayed time for several seconds which made me miss the turn a few times.
Great but…
I enjoy using app! It has a great round trip generator as well as a great map display, complete with speed, speed limit Unfortunately, I have not been able to access riser from CarPlay, so it can’t use it on my bikes with a phone-fed displays.
Scenic is just better
Not sure if they’re locking all the features behind a paywall but there’s no auto trip generating, the ride planning is made to be used on PC and not the app. It’s basically google maps with the Cardo logo pasted on top. If you’re looking for a motorcycle themed Facebook, this is for you. As far as actual ride planning it’s far from the best option. Scenic’s UI isn’t as nice but their app functions way better than this.
Best of the lot
This hands down offers the most features in the free tier and also offers the cheapest pro tier. This should trigger the others to improve. Competition is good.
Don’t waste your money
App not working properly, you type address and not showing, loading super slow. Don’t waste your money because it’s not worth it
UPDATE - MUCH Better
Quick update and upgrade from my previous review! The Riser customer service has been incredible! After my first post, the team reached out for details of my issues. There have been 2 updates since and almost all of my problems have been resolved. I’m much happier with the GPS reliability and now look forward to using the app more often. Not quite perfect but getting there! Thanks Riser for reaching out and working so hard to correct issues!I downloaded the Riser app as it’s touted as a companion app for the Cardo communication system (LOVE the Cardo!) This is on an iPhone 15 Pro running 26.2. I have been using another app for my motorcycle rides but was excited about some of the features on the Riser app. It has a great layout with large information screens, the ability to “replay” your rides, and more. It leans more to a socialization app with the ability to post rides, add friends and groups, and engage in riding challenges. Most of my riding is done leisurely and on country roads. Maps and GPS accuracy are essential! Unfortunately, Riser has not delivered on those. The maps and GPS are VERY glitchy and very often inaccurate. I’ve plotted rides a number of different ways with the same results. I’ve asked for point A to point B travel, which works fairly well, but anything with turns throws curves to the maps. GPX downloads become a mess, so many added variations, the rides look nothing like the original. Making a route with waypoints allows for “curvy”, “super curvy”, or “direct” routing, which I saw as a plus. But don’t miss a waypoint or you are forced to go in circles! The route screens freeze at corners and either have to be skipped or the map reset. Rerouting also becomes a nightmare with the system (if it even attempts a reroute) bogging down or ignoring altogether. To be clear, I’m not so rural that the GPS is a problem, Apple Maps and other ride apps work fine. I have even had, on numerous occasions, the maps flow backwards from waypoints. My initial invitation for Riser came with a 3 day free trial. This isn’t enough time to get an accurate read if you are trying to test the system and fix issues. I had confidence that the problems I had would be resolved with the paid subscription, so I purchased a full year. Big mistake and a learning opportunity, I should have tried a month first. If I had, I would not have subscribed. Since I own the year, I’ll keep messing with Riser, but I going back to my old standby when I want an accurate, hassle free ride. I’ll update if my luck changes! Sorry Riser!
App not user friendly
Only road version, map route has solid blue line that obscures highway design. Im having to zoom all the way in to see which road im on. Also, step by step directions are hard to find. This is not user friendly

Great Navigation App for Motorcycles
Riser is my current go to app for motorcycle navigation, mainly as I do lead a lot of rides. On the plus side: easy to plan rides, simple interface, great community aspect around challenges and celebrating rides. Live tracking is great to share location with family while on a ride. Tracking of rides and statistics is a strong point. Room for improvement: No Apple Car Play, poor inventory of destinations when mapping compared to Google Maps. Packride needs integration with DMC mesh. Export to route to Google Maps to make better screen shots of route to share.
Doesn’t cover back roads
The app works ok as long as you are using man highways but as soon as you get in back roads the route mapping won’t recognize the roads. Pretty useless if you can’t map backroads. For instance the roads I paved park roads in big bend are not available or other paved country roads in the hill country are not recognized. For those reasons I delete the app.
Widget needed
I like tracking rides. I like the stats, I love the achievements. I wish there was a widget for my Home Screen to easily start rides

Great for pausing when great to have you take a brake. It will start when you start to move.
Deleted it
This app used to be called Riser, but then Cardo bought it. Delete this paywalled Cardo garbage and download Rever or Scenic.

App ok… Needs features and stats

Name of road?
I can’t read the names of the streets on the blue roads on the map. How about using white text on blue roads so I can review where I’m going and know what to look out for? Here I am, sitting at my desk with my glasses off, phone 3 inches from my face, looking like an idiot, trying to figure out what roads you recommend before I leave. Can’t do that in traffic!!! Done with this app for that dumb little reason.
Easy and awesome
I haven’t found an app like this. I use it to track all my rides and plan others. Easy and fun and the 3d replay feature is a favourite. My wife loves the “share ride” feature so she can enjoy my ride from the comfort of home
Not that great.
App crashes a lot or freezes during the ride, forcing you to close the app completely and re-launch it and then your trip does not re-launch with the app. There currently is no option to avoid dirt roads or unpaved roads of any type so this app will take you down unpaved roads, dirt roads, minimum maintenance roads, and roads under construction. so if you’re mainly just a street rider this app is not gonna work that great for you.
Riser to the top
This app is awesome. The only two changes I think are needed would be these. 1. Whilst in ride, the icon needs to head in the direction that you are going. 2. A speed limit sign in the app would be really handy. Still love this app though. It’s really easy to use and pleasant to look at.

Personally I think this is a great app and I’ve been checking out decent spot is to ride in my car while I wait for my motorcycle learners. I have been very very impressed how the app fairly accurately tracks my position even in places where there is no mobile signal. The only improvement I would suggest to the app is they built in the ability to map my own routes even if I haven’t already physically driven on them. (Which seems to be a current limitation) Like when I want to plan a group ride and map the route into the app and share with my group.
No keep north up
Riser, unlike Google Maps and Apple Maps, lacks a "keep north up" which makes it useless for travellers who care about keeping their journey map, atlas map, and mental map in sync. The lack of this one feature prevents me from using this app.
Decent & simple app but no CarPlay support
Not sure why you would not have support for CarPlay. Missing a huge opportunity
