App Sluggish
The app log in is so slow and requires more steps compared to one Face ID prompt on other online banking apps.

PLEASE ADD REOCCURRING INTERACT E TRANSFERS! For the love of everything, I've been asking for this, sending feedback for 3 years now. I mean how hard is it to add, you already offer this for bill payments. It's so annoying having to remember EVERY SINGLE MONTH to e transfer money to your landlord. And it's the only missing feature from EQ Bank that has me on a constant look to swich to someone else like Wealthsimple. So please add this I beg of you 😫
French people’s can not deposit a check!
English follow Le problème est que nous n’avons toujours pas le service en français comme vous nous dites depuis des années que cela s’en viens… même service que vous donnez au Québec . Au NB nous sommes une ville française, dans une province bilingue, dans un pays bilingue! Je ne comprends pas que vous ne comprenez pas que nous voulons être servi en français! J’ai dû retirer une partie de mon argent de mes comptes investissements par peur de ne pas tout bien comprendre. Sorry for the english, i just can’t do…
Slow app
Slow start up and load, every single time I open the app. Changing tabs also slow.

Real hard to deposit cheques
Great Banking app missing 1 thing
Im surprised scheduled e-transfers are not an option here considering every other competitor I’ve used (WealthSimple and Neo for example), have this feature at the ready. Please add scheduled and repeated e-transfers ASAP, it makes the stress of paying a roommate rent, or sharing online subscriptions much easier than trying to set up Scheduled repeated payments with other bank accounts etc.
Ghost Reoccurring Bank Transfers
I setup a bank transfer through the EQ app. After a while it stopped working, saying that there was insufficient funds which was not true. I tried to cancel it through the app, on the website, through the chat help window. No success.
Good bank, no technical support
I’ve been using EQ for a few years, and while the banking experience is generally good, the app has frequent glitches. Some issues, like the history of international transfers, remain unresolved for a long time. Recently, the app completely stopped working, crashing every time I tried to open it. The technical support is also a major problem; it’s either very limited or completely nonexistent. I spent three days on calls, asking for a supervisor to address a serious issue. Finally, I got through to technical support, but I’m sure it’ll be days before anything is fixed. It’s an online bank with an app that’s not working at all. That’s to say the least, unacceptable. It gives me very little confidence in this institution from a technical standpoint. I’ll probably look for a new bank. Too bad, because the Canadian market could really benefit from a modern online banking experience. Banking: 5 stars, technical support: 2 star.

Cannot view TFSA account balance in app - only shows a graph of earned interest - you have to login on webpage to see TFSA details Have advised EQ but nothing has changed. 😖
Banking app with anxiety included!
Nothing like never knowing if you’re going to be able to log in or not. Sometimes it loads decently but most time it’ll take ages to login or even make a transfer between accounts. No other app does this, you should be aware of this before signing up

Amazing bank and app
Love the layout and flawless flexibility that this app provides I also like how you load the bank card so you have 100percent control of all your accounts balance. I feel safer knowing my bank is separate from my bank card unless I want money on my card.
Terrible App
I’m on iOS. I’ve rarely seen an App so poorly constructed. All sorts of problems to finds things.
Better interest rates
I signed up for EQ because of the high interest but that’s disappeared. I may be looking into another bank.

The app needs work
The app doesnt work when u try to transfer money. Doesnt allow u to click. Its annoying. Gotta log out and log back in to have it work
Trouble depositing cheques
Generally I’m very happy with this app, but the cheque deposit feature from my iPhone takes several tries to work, and in some instances I’ve spent 20 min or more resubmitting deposits, restarting the app, etc.

Disappearing Entries
I’m on a trip and have been trying to keep my transaction entries up to date. I return the next day and half have vanished!!! To verify, I made my entries, rechecked b4 leaving app. Next day only some remaining.
Dropdown Menus Freezing
Pretty good but any time I tap on the dropdown menu to select account when receiving an interac email money transfer the menu freezes and won’t come down.
No fees when I travel
I love using my EQ bank card wherever I am traveling in the world because as long as I withdraw money from a government bank, I never have to pay any fees
App Closed - August 2026
For 3 days in a row, EQ Bank has shut down and refuses to open so I have no access to money. Very disappointing and there’s no simple way to reach them to report this???

Bank itself is fine. But half the prompts dont work. Want to search your e transfer history past a month? Too bad. Doesn’t work on app or browser. Again as a bank its fine but its online banking infrastructure is terrible
