I stopped getting banner notifications plus app has bugs
Can’t get offers anymore via banner notifications. Whatever other offers show under the offers tab well issue there those are meant for new customers only while I’m an existing customer. Customer service doesn’t understand the issue here and they have no capability to fix it.

I can’t get rid of the notification on the top of the app?? just a red 1 i’ve gone through the whole app there’s no notifications??
E-Deposit Feature is Broken
When I try to use it, I just get a white rectangle on my screen. It no longer activates my camera.

I dislike the bright green color debit sooo bad... Miss the classic blue color.

Easy to use to do e-transfers but unable to do e deposit with cheques recent glitch
Simplii has been great to use in term of transferring between accounts, sending e-transfers, and setting up bills. However, recently I’m unable to do an edeposit, every time I open my camera to take a photo through the app, I see a white or light grey screen and can’t see the camera view. But my camera app is working fine. Something is off and I’m up to the recent update. Let me know if is an issue for others and how this can be fixed, thanks!
Inaccurate Balance
I don’t know if it’s only me experiencing this… but the current balance and available funds are NEVER accurate which is very frustrating for me. I used to like this app, but now the more I use it the more annoyed I get. Please PLEASE FIX THIS, cause at this point I don’t even know my true account balance till days later. Who the hell wants to wait a whole week or two to know how much they ACTUALLY have in their account…? Ya, no one. I want to be able to use my account without worries.

Good but…
App is mostly good, basically identical to CIBC app which is good and bad. There are a few missing features that are carried though from what’s missing in the CIBC app. 1. Transaction notifications. I miss this the most, I had this at my previous bank. I’d LOVE the option to get push notifications for any transaction made in any selected account. Notifications for debit purchases, paychecks etc… 2. Dark more UI and icon 3. UI consistency. It’s modern on the home page but reverts back to outdated once you click to view all transactions. The transactions tab in both CIBC app and this one are bad and confusing/outdated. I hope they are working on updating this next.
Search option
It would be nice if the search option would give you the ability to look by a name. for example type in water, and any building or transaction with water it included in it would populate.

Bad app, now so buggy it freezes
Just broken. Trying to login, an immediate can’t do this try later. New CIBC app works, same bank. This old decrepit app needs to go. Still BAD. Can’t get in. Requires a phone call or text, which doesn’t work. Deletes the push notification settings. Can’t get in. Cant set my phone for push notifications, bait my old one. CIBC updated their app and works far gooder than this junk. Another update. Frequently can’t login. I sign in, it send a push notification code and then just hangs, never logging in. This happens 90% of the time. Very buggy and poor. The app says there is new security and yet it doesn’t work any better. And clearly they don’t read these or care. Can’t get in even with their push notifications which always work. The app just hangs on login. Don’t have issues with other banks on any of my devices. CIBC/Simplii is now a joke. Tangerine app is better and more stable.

The app works well. Please add more features like a dark mode and account widgets.
Won’t login
Very unreliable to see account balances, half the time doesn’t even complete the login to see the balances and most times is very slow - nothing to do with my location or wifi connection.
New update introduced bugs to the iPad app
Everything works fine except all of a sudden I can’t enter the amount of money I want to transfer between accounts….

Disappointed by the support team
Terrible bank! I called them to dispute a fraudulent transaction on my account in April, it’s now July and they say they made a mistake and ended up not filing the chargeback yet I have been waiting thinking they’re doing an investigation
Good overall
The interface is still slightly bloated, but functionality is all there. The UX has improved this year and I am hopeful for more improvements to come.
Authorization holds
I don't like that app doesn't show the actually authorization holds when payments are made the account just holds the money without stating what it's for
Suggestion
Get rid of the add funds button and revert to the old setup. I could do bank transfers before. Flinks? Who cares. Just another service we don’t need. It’s also a button that loads a screen with one option… that’s poor design. Why do we need an extra screen if there’s only one selection? That’s like putting my bag of cereal inside another bag…

Terrible app, especially if you are travelling
If you plan on using the app to manage your finances while you are out of the country, you absolutely need to enable push notifications. Despite many attempts and spending almost an hour on the phone with Simplii support, this just cannot be done. A quick online search shows that it’s a known problem.
Cheque deposit function is needed
Please add cheque deposit via photo function ASAP. It's become so important now. Otherwise I have to switch bank.
Buggy and lacks functionality
- Buttons on the main page now say "action-row.add-money" instead of transfer funds. - Doesn't show you the interest rates you're getting. You'll have to refer to your statement... one month after. - Cheques, bank drafts, and void cheques can't be requested in-app. - Live chat is perpetually unavailable. That functionality should be removed if nobody is ever online.
Functional but not great
It’s functional overall, but it’s like any other Canadian bank: looks like the UI and tech are 5-10 years behind global standard
Unusable once you sign out
I cannot use the app anymore after my card number changed when Simplii updated the branding on the card and sent me a new card. The new card has a new number and the login fields on the app are not accessible once you log out. I cannot enter my card number and password or click the log in button. It is completely unusable now.

Basic functionality. Does what it needs to. No glitz and glamour but that's what the PCF brand is all about.
Notifications
How many years does it take to fix the notification icon. It never turns off no matter what I do, and it would be nice to know there is actually a notification instead of ignoring that red dot permanently or turning notifications off. This has been years of ignoring customers. Do I have to leave?
Notification badge stays on
With the latest release, there is always a 1 notification badge on the app icon. I’ve logged in and do not see any notifications that are unread. Anyone else see this happening?
AVOID ! Absolutely Useless
I haven’t had my account for a week yet and I’ve already been insulted, brushed off or ignored … they are not equipped or trained to help someone with disabilities… their only email has no ability to actually help anyone
Cannot register device as trusted
Got a new iphone and deregistered my old iphone and the app with the same permissions won’t let me register as a trusted device anymore. Tried to uninstall, reset settings, different wifi and cell network and I keep getting the 6086 error.
Hoping for transfer to credit from chequing
I’d like to be able to directly ‘transfer between accounts’ from my chequing to pay my credit card. Right now you have to do a bill payment to your credit card which has a delay of a few days. Hoping this is a feature soon.
Not as advertised
Cannot see all scheduled transactions on the App App doesn’t register unsuccessful transactios only the ones that were cancelled
Rubbish on Most Levels Now
Becoming worse and worse. Literally the flotsam of CIBC. Which is why I also don’t go to CIBC. Already moved any significant banking I do away from Simplii / CIBC, after being with them for 20 years. For a few details: They’re missing sending out replacement debit cards with months of notice, so it’s not that other wonderfully managed org: Canada Post. They don’t offer competitive interest rates any longer, and reaching their support is *exponentially* more frustrating than it should be without the option of branch locations. In short: Great, when everything is going well. But literally any company can pull that off. What a classic indictment of Canadian oligopolies.
Need update
This has not been updated for long! Please update because ios9 is out and this is for ios 6!
Get rid of offers
There is currently no way to dismiss an offer - the annoying “1 alert” badge won’t go away. Nor is there any way to simply disable all offers.
Notification not going away
Although I don’t have any notification, app is still showing 1 notification on app. Might be a glitch in app
Great feature added but no iPhone 6 support
First of all, thank you for the cheque deposit feature, it's really handy! But if you were able to manage such a feat, why not add something as simple as iPhone 6 support as well? The UI looks bloated.
