I used to use CARROT Weather because it’s funny…
Now I use it because it’s the best weather app I own, and it gets better with every release.
Inaccurate
My partner has been complaining that Carrot is inaccurate when compared to Weather and BBC Weather. So I installed it and we compared what the values for today in the exact same location were. Completely different results. In every list of values, hers diverged from mine. Which is insane. How can we rely on this now?
Need some work
Doesn’t work very, very well with a VPN keep forgetting location and layout.
Issue with rain cloud icons
Maybe this is unique to me but I live in the midwestern US and lately this app is showing rain clouds and thunderstorm icons at dry times. I’m literally looking at the precip chart showing 0 all afternoon and it’s still rain cloud icons. The UI is super cute and good, but i NEED them to fix this for it to remain usable. —a decade-long user

Fantastic weather app
It’s one of the best weather apps ever. My husband, son and I have used Carrot for almost a year. It works great, adds humour to checking the weather and is always accurate, but for a family subscription it’s too expensive. Please can you look at reducing it slightly, even if only £10 less? Regardless, thank you dev for the awesome work on Carrot
Trim and focus and make it cheaper
I literally just did a review then an app update came through stripping even more features! I’ve had this now for a couple of years, pay the price as it makes me smile. I pay £19.49 a year, now, for the weather, something readily available for free from lots of places, so that’s a lot! I’ve watched the app get stuffed with unnecessary features, get messy, and slowly things getting stripped away for ‘ultra’ even basic things or just handy things like Apple car play. Now that the edge of the comedy aspect and pretty graphics is wearing off this is beginning to really annoy me, the weather accuracy has also gotten worse and having just done the app update you’ve stripped away multi day on the sonar, what next! I mean, come on. So, I’ll give it 6 months, I hope you’re the type of developers that look at reviews and take on board the criticism from your loyal customers … whether you act on it is your choice, but I will be cancelling and deleting if things don’t improve.
Funny App, Bad Forecasts
Living in drought is hard enough. It’s even harder when the app keeps promising rain and there is none for months. It’s like psychological torture. Why pay for consistently incorrect information? The free apps have been more accurate of late. The silver lining is that the app cracks some funny jokes. But I think Carrot should focus more on forecasts than trying to make its users laugh.

also now when you open the app, any weather warnings don’t show it in the graphic, you have to look below the graphic for light grey text for the warnings! can barely see it.

Feature request totally broken alerts you needlessly!!!
Ok, you go to feature request and it tries to make you add your email. I USE THE GMAIL APP BECAUSE POP3 ACCESS IS STUPID IN 2026!!!!! So no, just give me the email address? No, fine, negative review then! What’s the request? Do t send me alerts for my county if I’m outside the alert area. I DON’T CARE! I’M OUTSIDE THE ALERT AREA, WHY DO TOU THINK I NEED AN ALERT?! I mean come on, this is pretty basic human factors. I start ignoring everything from every notification, because all I get are useless carrot ones.
Fun & Unique / can be inaccurate and nonsensical
Overall, I love the app. It’s lots of fun being able to find the achievements, track the highest temperatures you’ve experienced etc, and the overall customisation. But the accuracy seems off, even within the same source. It’ll say possible rain in the next hour but when I check the precip chance for the next 4 hours, it’ll say 0%; it doesn’t line up. Even if I have a specific source set up, it often gives me a slightly different forecast to that source’s dedicated app/website. This needs fixing.

Most accurate weather app by far using any source you want, best visuals and iOS integration, and it even integrates your home weather system if you have one
Calling for violence
Why is this app calling for riots?
Won’t install on Apple Watch. Basic function unless you want to pay more.
Sad I believed the critics. Usually paid off to say hey this is good. It’s not cringe bad but for 4.99 I wouldn’t expect that anything I touch in the app wants you to buy more functionality. This will not load on my Apple Watch 4 no matter what I do and there is no support. Save your money.
Heavily Paywalled
Items like air quality data which affect people's health should not be paywalled. The free tier of this app is barely serviceable.
No widget no good!
Been using this app for years and found it one of the best and accurate ones around. Love the snarky forecasts and the whole package. However somehow on iOS 15, v6.4 has removed the widget. Something I relied on for my weather. Without it, it’s really not as good. Why remove a widget????
This is the best weather app, most accurate and most funny
I would definitely recommend this weather app. It talks all the Weather app accuracy and humor is definitely a good mix 10 out of five stars.
Unattractive app
Doesn’t look pretty but keeps getting rammed with more and more features. Inappropriate humour and political statements in the app too.
About as good as it gets.
Carrot is a fun app with it's colourful animations and funny AI generated humour but under the humour lies the beating heart of the best, most accurate weather app you’re likely to find for iOS. With its Quick Swap of data source you can pretty quickly find the most accurate source for your location. Having said that, weather is fickle. It can vary widely just in a few kilometres. Sunny here, raining in town. This is especially true on a small island like Bali, Indonesia. So don’t be too hard on Carrot, she does the best she can with the available data. Unfortunately I can no longer afford the Pemium version but, it's still the best I can find using Forca as default source.
Watch complications frequently display wrong conditions
As I write this the Conditions (Other) displays a cloud icon with rain underneath. It’s not raining, and Weather radar depicts no rain within 100 miles. The complication frequently displays a lightning bolt even when - again - weather radar shows no thunderstorms. Finally, your “meatbags” references are quite worn out after all these years. Can’t you come up with some new material? You’re not funny
Funny, cute
L’appli n’est pas dispo en français mais bon. C’est pas vraiment une appli météo, il faut choisir la source comme Accuweather ou Environnement Canada, donc l’appli ne fait que relayer l’info venue d’ailleurs. La fiabilité de Carrot dépend donc de votre choix. It’s US made and US centric. I’m in Canada and I get the « new » from the US. Nothing actually local even if that’s what I picked in the settings. It’s a cute app with a dark humour that I really appreciate but not enough to pay over 50$/year for a subscription, I’ll keep my boring but free weather apps. Sorry.

Features galore but no home assistant weather station integration
So many features and levels of customisation it’s utterly incredible, being able toto use personal weather stations , also amazing, however, no home assistant integration for weather station is heart breaking. i don’t want to be bound to the two brands

I have been a subscriber for a full decade at this point as I haven’t found anything better, but those 10 years have caused me to go full Joker mode over ⚠️ advisories. Please just let me turn off ⚠️advisories. There is almost always a ⚠️ advisory in effect, a rip torrent if nothing else, and I do not care. And I especially do not care when it’s showing a ⚠️ in my watch complication instead of the custom sunrise/sunset data point I configured. This is the killer feature that got me to pay and it’s been fundamentally unusable for several years now! Because hey, there’s a rip current. There’s a rip current today, just like there was a rip current yesterday, and just like there will be a rip current tomorrow. tl;dr Please please please just let me turn the ⚠️ off.
A shame it has become bloated and too expensive. Accuracy has improved at least.

Absolutely regret paying for the subscription. Completely inaccurate temperature readings. Off by anywhere from 5-10 degrees depending on location. If I could get a refund I would.
Good app hate nag screen
Enjoying the app more than stock Weather app but man is their upgrade to a premium plan nag screen annoying. I’m fine to pay for apps one time if the price is fair. But I’m not adding another monthly subscription, especially for a weather app. Seriously the nag screen may make me drop this app. 😕

Everything is tiny and blue. Drab, no pop, meh.

Great stuff
If the maker reads this, please add in an option for those of us with mobility issues who cannot continually shake our devices to do the debug, maybe do a whack-a-mole type game to debug instead? Everything else is great. I love the missions, very educational. Plus the direct insults are hilarious! Keep 'em coming.
No voice = No personality
I can’t get the voice to work on my new iPad Pro and it only worked on my iPhone 14 for the first couple of days. The personality and voice are the biggest part of this app so it’s basically reduced to the same as other weather apps. Both are using iOS 26

It’s a good app, however I’m trying to set “units” to Canada but it keeps reverting to UK. Why?

This stupid app is always wrong and has an idiotic ai that proudly gives the forecast. Right now it’s thunderstorming and the app is adamant that it’s sunny and perfect.
