Good app
98% accuarcy on the waves from day to day and is the reason I gave it a 4 star otherwise it would be a 5 star app. Show the directions of the wind and speed very accurately. Useful for boating no question.
Windfinder
I’ve been using Windfinder for 10 years and it’s been great until this year you can’t even get an accurate reading one day before you go fishing
Wave direction
We get all kind of arrows but we don’t get wave directions.

I never go out or plan anything without checking this app before.. great info and accurate.

Forecast and super forecast are vastly different making the app completely reliable. Uninstalling
Lake Michigan Forecast
I rely on Windfinder, but disappointed at times with the accuracy of the forecast in wind speeds and direction forecast.
Not accurate
Often find the wind speeds not accurate at all.
Accuracy is 50/50 at best
Just what the title says. It’s almost useless. It’s either right or totally wrong. That doesn’t help at all when you have to plan travel on the water.
Seas
The seas in my area is always worse than Windfinder shows on so if it says say 1.5 you can expect 2.5 . Any way to be more accurate
Garbage
This app is absolute garbage. It says it’s gonna be no waves. The waves are so big that I literally can barely even ride my full-size jet ski in it just go look at the water. Don’t trust this terrible app.
Better if hourly
Wish the time increments were hourly rather than every 3 hours
No tide info?
“Tides” is the first word in the description here in the App Store but nowhere in the app could I find tide information for my location. If there’s some trick to finding it or if it’s only available for certain places then just say that upfront.
Sea state
Wish there was a way to check the sea state on any area on the map that’s not listed

Windfinder says delta is 8 mph , it was 24 mph, ocean said 5 ft by 20 seconds swell, it was 7 ft by 7 seconds… SUCKS

Almost too much. Steep learn curve.
Grueling
I got the wrong app because I just wanted wind and temperature high and low. It doesn’t give that. But Lord Almighty this is the most poorly designed app I’ve ever seen. It is grueling to use.

Werbefinanzierung ist ja ok - aber leider erfolgt die Messwertaktualisierung etwa mit 1 Stunde Verzögerung - dies ist für Spontantrips leider unbrauchbar

I would love to join the experience as a full membership member but the only payment accepted is through Apple ID. Unfortunately I don’t use it, wind finder should allow other types of payments…like a CC
Low accuracy, low precision
You could almost set your watch to the time the wind would change on the app back even may be three years ago now nowadays the app is so inaccurate It’s almost worthless and right now it says the wind in my location is 13 miles an hour not even moving are barely so as my weather station says 2.1 mph
Best wind app I’ve found yet
I use this app specifically for fishing big waters and it has been very accurate.
Nicht das was draufsteht
Gezeiten sind für den Wassersport wichtig. Wenn ich damit werbe muss es vorhanden sein !!!! Es sind keine Gezeiten vorhanden, somit muss eine zusätzliche App geöffnet werden. Die Darstellung und Veranschaulichung ist jedoch sehr gut gelungen- aber ohne Gezeiten nutzlos!!!

Sehr späte Aktualisierung der Wetterdaten, die teilweise nicht mit dem tatsächlichen Wetter übereinstimmen.

Unmögliche Werbung
Ehrlich, mir persönlich reicht die kostenlose Version. Dafür bin ich auch bereit angezeigte Werbung zu akzeptieren. Aber das, was ich dort angezeigt bekomme geht gar nicht: Temu-Werbung mit halbnackten Frauen! Nein ich werde mir deswegen nicht die Pro-Version kaufen, aber ich überlege ernsthaft die App wegen dieser völlig unangemessenen Werbung zu löschen. Hinterfragt bitte mal ernsthaft euer Werbemodell, so ist das wirklich unseriös!

Love the website but why are there so many damn pop-ups whenever I open the app... I don't need to be reminded of your features every time. It's not even the ads that are intrusive, but the pop ups from Windfinder itself.
Liegt oft daneben
Schon wieder gibt Windfinder 5 Windstärken an obwohl es in Realität nur max 2 waren. Teilweise hat man das Gefühl ihr knobelt das aus. Sehr ärgerlich wenn man sich für sowas 2-3 Stunden ins Auto setzt

I hunt and when using the app you have to be mindful of your surroundings, if you’re on a big body of water and you go into a smaller pocket of the lake/bay I found that you can end up getting a different wind direction then it shows I guess it’s good for a general sense but wouldn’t rely on it

Temperatures often inaccurate
Love the app as far as the wind is concerned but the temperatures are often inaccurate.
Widget not working
As a wind app for sailing and stuff I love it, so much so I bought the yearly premium subscription. All the features work except for the widgets which I am unable to add to my Home Screen. I have emailed customer support and have received a reply but it wasn’t helpful and just repeated what the website said and didn’t solve the issue. My phone is updated so it’s not that and I have a account set up and have had premium for over a month now and it’s still not working. Could you please solve this issue, I really like your app and think you have a great product. Only things I think you could add is the ability to see tide times and levels and what the tides strength is and more detailed weather information as there is lots of detail for wind which I get is the purpose of the app but still I think it could do with more weather descriptions and stuff. Also if you could make the app support Siri that would be really good and a nice feature that you could add to the premium subscription to encourage people to pay the wee bit extra which isn’t much but definitely worth it.
Some odd omissions
Whilst the super forecast appear good, there are some annoying omissions: It isn’t possible to add your current location to the favourites list; it isn’t possible to edit the name of favourite location or add a note; it isn’t possible to add a location from the map to favourites; the forecasts default to daylight hrs only rather than 24hrs. All of these features are available with Windy and other apps. However, as mentioned, the super forecast is good.

This is my “go to” app for my trips fishing from shore / and or by boat . I have recommended it to many of my friends … thank you for making the most of my leisure days … had fun - felt safe - told others trifecta
Sea temperature.
The only thing missing is the sea temperature. Everything else is brilliant.
Feedback
It would be great if the user could choose his purpose for looking at the app like windsurfing, kitesurfing etc and the app could list all the kitesurfing spots or that sport. Also tides are missing.
