Surf updates are MUCH APPRECIATED!
New Update
As usual, new updates means less functionality and more worthless content. Deleted all of my favorite spots. Did little more than change to metric. Of course, raised the subscription price for the privilege of using this garbage. Please stop making updates that just make your app worse... stick to cams and forecasts
Beach days
I love the beach cams, I can tell from home if it’s a good or bad beach day and if there’s a swell. Also, I can see how many surfers are out ( crowded or not)
Surflie Review
Accuracy is lacking. Over hype popular spots. Luckily has decent cams and basically no other options for consumers
Getting Better in N Japan
Been in Misawa for 15 years. Only this year was the repor for one of our breaks included. Thanks for a start. We now have at least a dozen breaks within a hour of Misawa on Surfline. I can rely on simple color codes instead of decoding winds, swell (size&direction), period, tide. At 4am my brain ain’t there yet, bro.

I am a surfer and every time i want to surf i check how the waves are on surfline to see if i should go or not
Way too many ads
An ad literally almost every 10 seconds, it’s absolutely ridiculous. Can barely watch any cams

Can’t blame the guy. Says the surf is rubbish when it’s good, I assume so he gets a quieter lineup. End up missing swells

Terrible App
Corporate greed ruined this app. $10 was fine $15 is like Netflix. Too many tiers for premium. Constantly logged out saying I’m sharing an account. Developers can’t seem to understand that people have more than one device. Burnt surfers trying to do tech doesn’t work. Cancelled!

Surfline is wrong about its height it is sometimes 6 feet when I’m out their and it’ll say 3

Ad opening cameras, ad switching cameras, ad watching the same camera, ads that won’t even load and are just a black screen causing me to not see the camera. So many ads bruh
Surfline gets better
Thank you for continuing to improve the Surfline app. The cameras really help provide real time conditions and camera rewind is a great function. I am using Dawn Patrol to connect with my Apple Watch. There’s still some bugs in this program connection. I’m sure this will get worked out over time. Thanks for continuing to improve the forecasting. See you in the water!
Sem câmeras no nordeste
Sou de Fortaleza, não tem câmeras deles por aqui, a previsão é 50% boa, mas nem sempre é acurada. Valeu a pena conhecer, mas sem câmeras aqui não renovo.

Don’t even got to head out to see the waves, saves time money gas. 10/10 app.
Deceptive pricing
The app charges you $127 after trial. When it was supposed to charge $24. There no contact information for support. Do not use this app . It didn’t work the entire time during the free trial then magically started working after changing me which was worth it at $24 for the year but definitely not worth it for $127
Please fix the location scrolling
It use to be that when you scrolled it moved to the closest geographical location, now it jumps all over the place. There appears to be no logical reason why you would make this change. Otherwise good app for 77 a year
Used to be better
You now have to pay to use the useful features, this was free a couple years ago with magic seaweed.

Not sure I’m that impressed with the content. However I am increasingly impressed with how functional all tools for finding waves around the planet are!

Inconsistent cams
Usually the cams are working fine, but when they go down it takes a while for them to get back online
Descending in vibe coded trash.
Forecasts are as good as they can be but UI locks up while loading cams. Handy hint, turning off autoplay reduces some of this issue. It’s done this forever and also chews battery at a horrifying rate while doing anything. I suspect they are mining bitcoin. Don’t open this app if you have a low charge. Session review of waves is useless as app locks up completely after one play of one wave, or if you look at it funny. Force quit between each wave replay is needed. Sort out your main-thread issues and maybe try using the hardware video codecs.

It is a really good app for surfing it is very acrute
Simply the best
Have been using Surfline since its inception. Friend from San Clemente told me about his friend Sean and had the honor of meeting him after a session at the BU. Frankly don’t use any other source but Surfline. All the information I need is just a click away

Monatliche Abos missing!
Die App ist an sich super und man kriegt alle Infos die man braucht. Übersicht das okay nicht so geil die Magic See Weed aber was soll’s. Was überhaupt nicht geht, ist, dass man nur ein Jahres Abo abschließen kann und nicht mit monatlicher Zahlung auf die App zugreifen kann. So zahlt man als landlogged Surfer auch auf dem Trockenen. Schade.

At times looses al of your favorite spots which is annoying. Great data but app design could be better.

New to surfing being from Illinois, good info and perspective. Also provides a great visual for background while stuck in the office!
Overpriced & overrated
The reports are consistently incorrect and every time I try to look at a surfcam my phone and or laptop crashes. So frustrating. Swellnet is a significantly better option!

Insgesamt wenig Spots, Vorhersagen berücksichtigen oft leider wenig Parameter und sind ungenau bzw. grottenfalsch. Die meisten Webcams die man im Premiumabo sehen kann kann man auch so im Netz anschauen.

If there’s a camera on your beach, use it, but don’t take any notice of the ratings and descriptions. They are literally wrong nine times out of ten.

lacks surf community interface
This app would really take it to the next level if it allowed user comments and photo uploads. For example , only users can indicate that a spot works only with Eastern Swell and south wind. Surfline should capitalize on this user data to make their predictions better. I road tripped the entire South African Coastline using this app to find good spots with less than 20% success rate. ChatGPT gives me better intel on surf spots than Surfline. Surfline, get with the program and do better

Grubs , scammers
Scammers , don’t ever do free trial , no notification, no reply , no heads up just take money out of account after 7 days trial and more than what they advertise. Terrible reporting and can’t sea much at all on local breaks . Dont fall for the scam.
Ads
Absolutely amazing app, is so clutch for when I’m not sure about the wave when I’m getting ready to boogie board BUT the ads are quite irritating and can get in the way quite often. Just fix the ads and this is the best app I’ve ever seen
Not worth paying
I tried the pay version. The forecast ist longer but the cameras are often offline, or many beaches are shown without the camera and you have to find the camera somewhere else anyway. I think the app has potential, but right now I wouldn’t pay for it.
