Changed for the worse
This used to be my favorite weather app with a very unique chart view. They decide to tear it down and now it looks like every other generic app. So disappointing.

The new ownership ruined it
I used to really enjoy and rely on this app, I would recommend to anyone. But since the update and ownership change this app sucks. The interface changes are Atrocious, the tracking is in accurate. I will be looking for a new app and canceling this subscription. Update 8/11/2026: The radar feature changing the way that the cells are read or appear don’t look as clean and even yesterday during a storm your app appear that the cell wasn’t as big as other radars anticipated and we got Slammed. The projected weather breakdown of each hour with the results on the right and not the graph is now confusing. Yes you have the graph for the current day but no future day.
We shouldnt have to pay for Noaa

Signed up for the 3 day free trial; supposedly converting to $5.99/week after that. The second I signed up it charged me $9.99. Do not trust the supposed “free trial.”

Hate the new interface
I loved the simplicity of the old interface, especially the graph that showed anticipated precipitation amounts by hour. This new interface basically converts the app to a copy of Weather Channel or Weather Bug.

Pay scheme?
This aight used to be free with fantastic weather alert options. Now for advanced options there’s price (which is ok. It’s worth the price if you want the service) BUT it seems the free option is limited to 3 days and then an automatic pay. I hope I am wrong on that point

People don’t pay for something you already pay for with your taxes! I have used this app for years and now it will get deleted. I refuse to pay for a service my taxes already pay for. I get having a subscription for extras such as forecasts and things, but charging a subscription fee for public safety!! NOAA is a government agency, taxes pay for it… this app even says “NOAA network” we already pay for it!!! Shame on you.

I’ve used this app for the last few years and have found the forecasts very accurate, however the charts in the latest update make it much more difficult to see the long term picture especially rainfall.

Changes to app
A few months ago I would have given this 5 stars. Have used it several years. NOW with all the changes it is just like the majority of weather apps- it tells you “what to think”. I found the straight data useful instead of this “I will analyze for you”. This analysis gives me “answers” without knowing my question. Now looking for another app and will not renew my subscription. Plus, half the time the radar screen shows up as just black.
Good but with some gaps in coverage
NOAA of course has a stellar reputation for natural science and that's why I chose the app. Not five stars only because of its lack of coverage farther north. Other than that it's a good app and I have yet to experience any ads annoyment.

The app update is terrible and freezes all the time so it’s impossible to use . I liked it before and now it’s rubbish .
Excellent but new graphs are awful
I am a scientist, so I know something about presenting time series data. The reason why I was attracted to this app was the quality of the charts. They showed good detail for up to 10 days ahead. Moreover, the forecasts seemed to accurate enough for me to trust them when walking in the Highlands of Scotland, where the weather is changeable and sometimes extreme. So why haven’t I given this app, which I love, 5 stars? Because the new style of graphs is clunky and uninformative. The developers would do well hiring a data visualisation specialist, or at least reading some books on data visualisation (e.g., Tufte’s). Rule #1 is maximise data ink, yet each graph window is about a third of the full screen. Of that window, only about two-thirds is devoted to the data, with the rest occupied by a title and a dynamic readout from a cursor. The format devotes so little space to the data that detail is difficult to extract. Moreover, the maximum values for the vertical axes are fixed, so they do not scale to the maximum of the data. The data are there, but one can hardly extract the pattern from the poor format. I hope the developer realises graph format for this version was a mistake and improves the graphs. Otherwise this is an excellent app that I appreciate very much.

NOAA was great. Now that it’s Ora, functionality and details are awful. Will cancel and look for another weather app.

Great for planning work
Latest release is poor.
Latest release features inaccurate rain charts on a scale graph that difficult to read. And forecasts which I’ve yet managed to load. I used to like this app, but this latest update is the last nail.

Was an excellent app but recently has become awash with increased advertising.

This was one of the first apps I downloaded and decided to actually pay for and it’s definitely worth it spot on better than any weather report that I’ve gotten or received. I’ll give it five stars and a big old thumbs up.
Useless to search other cities now
It’s almost useless to search other cities I’m traveling to now because the search only searches “City name, United States” ignoring that there are multiple within the country in different states. There is no way to narrow it down within the country by adding the state apparently and it doesn’t list them in the search listing. Incredibly annoying and poor user experience. I can’t look at the forecast for my travels easily anymore. I will be uninstalling.

Just use the government’s weather website
Very disappointed to have paid for this app. The satellite images are below basic and they’re taking the information from the government website. Even the wind direction info they provide is weird and often inconsistent with what we’re seeing In Canada at least I would not bother with this app and def don’t spend money on it For all that they also sell all your data to their many third parties as this company just builds apps. They’re not a weather company at all

WARNING: ORA RIP OFF
Do NOT press “Skip” when new app opens - it automatically enrolls you in the “Free Trial” and there is NO WAY TO CANCEL in the app. Free trial does not show up in iPhone “Subscriptions”. I did the update of the old app and thought I’d at least look it over despite the several comments about the old version costing way too much and charging for free NOAA info that other apps gave for less or for free. I thought they might be under new ownership that wasn’t as greedy. The splash page took a long time to load. After it did, the first page offered a tour of new features and a “Skip” tour at the bottom. I pressed “Skip” and the next thing I know it’s telling me I’ve accepted the free trial. NOT!!! Went everywhere I could trying to find a Cancel Free Trial button but there’s nothing anywhere in the app for that. Yet it doesn’t show up in Apple Subscriptions to cancel. Can’t believe Apple allows this shabby kind of trick rip-off. You can’t even contact Apple about it. Where? How? Considering a formal FCC complaint.

Is a great program not inundated with ads as some described and is great travel companion as you can program in multiple destinations and keep track of potential issues both here in Au and overseas.
No radar
I paid for the full package, and since then I have had no radar for rain and cloud. I emailed the site to ask why I cannot get radar. The explanation was that they are dependent on other sources for radar. That was two months ago and still no radar. I have been able to get radar on all the other weather apps. Very disappointing.
