Best Sous Vide!
I had ordered another brand and I used it once. Luckily, we did not get sick from eating the eggs because it was not getting up to temperature this one does!
Lame Subscription
Since when did you bloodsuckers at Anova start charging users for a subscription? I used this app on and off, just recently re-downloaded the app and I see a prompt asking me to join their "subscription" service lol. Give me a break man, who TF do you idiots think you are? You guy's are really going to nickel and dime users see we can see "user shared" recipes and photos? I literally use this to check my Anova Temp when i'm elsewhere in the house. If I really wanted to "interact" with other's I'd just go on Food Network, IG, Reddit, Youtube, and etc. Shameless
Much Better
When I got my Sous Vide a year ago your app was terrible. Wouldn't load, forgot the parameters of the current cook and would make me re-sync every time. Now, most of those problems have gone away and the app is working, pretty much, as intended. Thanks for the fixes and keep it up!
Crashes
This app was working so good in the past and now anytime I go to “Guides” and make a selection it crashes. You broke it and now it is useless.
Love the device, meh about the app
I don’t use my Anova all that often, but I’m not really impressed by the ease of use of the app. And my favorite recipes won’t register on the favorite tab. Also, the cookdown timer should only start when the correct temperature is reached. Kind of useless in function.
Will it be prepared the way we like it?
We have been so pleased with the Way. Our food comes out. Just right for us. And no worries.
Timer does not countdown.
The features don’t work via Bluetooth/internet. The device shows connected but timer does not work. Have to do all manually, which defeats the purpose for the app. Have deleted reinstalled etc and doesn’t work. Perhaps you have to pay to have a timer work
App crashes and new subscription fee?
I’ve had my Anova since 2019. One of my go to kitchen appliances, especially for protein. My wife won’t let me cook her filet mignon any other way. Recently though, the app crashed when I try to pick a protein recipe. Anyone else having this issue. I have deleted and reinstalled the app twice without success. Also, is Anova starting to charge a subscription fee? When I reinstalled the app, it had a welcome window stating a new fee was going to be charged to compensate for creating new content. I thought us users were submitting recipes…
App now crashing
Since updating the app a few days ago the App crashes every time I open the cooking guide and select a meat type to be cooked.
App Crashes upon opening Guides
Pretty much the title. The overall app experience is great, but when I attempt to view Anova’s guides, the app crashes. Unfortunate.

Rip off
I’ve had my Anova sous vide cooker with app connectivity for 4 years. I’ve never had to pay a subscription. I bought the device knowing it had connectivity and now they want to charge me a monthly fee for something that I already had when I bought it. That’s called theft. I don’t really care about your recipes. I just want to be able to control it from my phone and you took that feature away. Shameful business practices.
Love the Circulator Pump and the App
Every thing works great and I really love the app’s included recipes; app gets connected to the pump always immediately, sets the temp and time easily with time count down starting once water temp is reached. Only one perhaps desire is that the app announce/indicate when the timer reaches zero.
Decent app but always asking for login is a real pain
Basically that’s it. Recipes are ok, generally pretty consistent with finding the sous vide pump but there is no display of remaining time on the phone Lock Screen and app asks for login every single time it’s used despite there being no sensitive information there. Even if app is accidentally closed during a cook it doesn’t open without login. It’s a real pain
Glitches
I have been using this app for a few months and love my machine but now all of a sudden it acts like I have never used the app and wants me to pay for the subscription again even though I still have an active one I’m already paying for.
Great way for precision control
Love that I can start a meal in the morning and when I get home my meal is ready
Push notifications are paid? Ridiculous
All push notifications are locked behind their a subscription, which is all I really care about. It’s way too expensive for just that function and it wasn’t clear until after I bought the sous vide and paired it. I never would have bothered had I known.
Needs a Start later timer
I love this app, but wish that it had the ability to set a start time in the future. It would be great if I could put my items in cold water, even an ice water in the morning and then started in the afternoon without having to set an alarm on my phone to remind me to start the sous vide
Anova app
The anova app is not at all intuitive. Also no location in the app to see the status of your device
Struggles at different locations with different wifi
Good app but if I go anywhere besides home I have to delete my product and add it back every time. Also struggles when I’m not at home to start

Grrrrr
This is when you need a negative 5 star option. Have had to go to Bluetooth in settings and manually connect it 3 times in 20 minutes. And yes the app is updated. I’ve had it over a year and the unit works great when the app isn’t crapping out. The shutoff timer has never worked. If it wasn’t a gift I would’ve returned it.
Need MAC address in app
App is great, just moved into apartments and can’t get it to connect to the app without the MAC address
Ridiculously Glitchy
Too many app connect and stalls. This is an Anova trait.
It’s ok. Could be better
It’s a useful app to check times/temps for meals, but there isn’t enough info on the recipes. Is it the same timeframe and temp for a piece of beef twice the size? Would also be helpful to change the temperature from Fahrenheit to Celsius. It’s a bit of a pain having to manually convert it every time I use it. Not much bang for a paid for app, but the subscription is fairly cheap so can’t complain.

Crashes every time
App has become useless since the latest update - crashes every single time I open the Guide.
Very happy with this product
We have been using this Sous vide every weekend and love it the only drawback we find is the start button is to low on the phone screen and when swiping it tends to turn it off my recommendation is to have the button moved up as there is a lot of empty space on the screen. Cheers
Subscription cooking is not for me
I was saddened to find out that these products I just bought require a paid subscription to get the best out of them. I am returning them immediately to benefit from an alternative solution.

When you pay so much for the product already , when I first used this app they wasn’t no subscription, quite some Time now so il take The Anova out , tells me il have to pay . Is what it is I guess but I mean they also need make money some how … , just shocked that I had to come back and think was this app changed some sort then finding out the (new update ).. no more free info .
Great product
My wife will not eat beef unless we Sous vide it prior to cooking. This product makes it so easy to make great recipes and repeat them. The trick is repeating a great recipe. This Sous Vide will allow you consistently make great recipes.
Money grab breaks app
So now they’re going to a subscription model, but don’t worry OG adopters will still be able to use their device. No, they won’t does not connect using latest app I imagine if I paid the subscription it would magically start working, but I’m not going to do that.
Viewing recipes off line
Hi - I’m new to Sou Vide cooking. Really looking forward to getting going. It would be so helpful if one could browse recipes whilst the Precision Cooker Pro isn’t ’switched-on’. Good for compiling ideas and recipes I may want to try in the future. What do you think Anova??
Removing functionality?
I don’t understand the announcement they sent. The app is a utilitarian part of the existence. Apparently it won’t affect me, but it has and I have had to reinstall to restore functionality. Why choose to make it worse. Nobody wants another subscription, don’t be greedy
Absolute pain and Anova clearly don't care!
Raised it to 3 stars. Discovered that if you upgrade to v3, you need to delete your old Anova in the app settings.. doesn't tell you that in the manual.. so just about working with my iPad.. run out of patience with the phone. Worked pretty well with my original precision cooker but horrible with v3 Cannot connect at all to my phone either wireless, Bluetooth or both. My iPad did connect but when I shut the app down I could not reconnect. Needs fixing. .. lots of reviews are pointing out these problems si it is not just me.. I am tech savvy and I see one guy sorted it by changing his SSID.. this is meant to be a consumer device.. it should work.. it must work out of the box without jumping through hoops.
Must have
My sous vide from Anova culinary has become a must have in my kitchen. It always delivers the perfect temperature for steak, chicken and even lobster.
Version 3.6.4 super buggy
I’ve been using this app for years. This new release has made it unusable. the guides crash every single time.

Generally good, some interesting recipe ideas. Would be good if settings for C/F were universal through the app and the guides.

You updated the App and now I have to login every time I open it, please sort this, I love my sous vide machine but can’t take this change. According to your message in the app I don’t have to pay your subscription as a legacy user, thanks for that but please do fix the problem

Needs One Tweak
The app works great when you use it to start the cook. It does not synch properly when you start the SV manually, it’s a little clunky. Perfect when you start with the app, but not manually. Love the way your product cooks! Perfect👍👍👍👍👍

Couldn’t be easier and perfect every time!
My Anova has been perfect for me as the first step in making incredible meals. From having a ribeye or fillet that goes three hours in the water after which I simply sear each side in butter for about one minute afterwards, to brisket that goes 50 (yes 50) hours in water to be finished with 3 hours on the smoker, the recipes in this app make everything easy. I use this app every week!
Can’t even deliver on the basic stuff
Garbage product. doesn’t even pair or connect. i followed the instructions carefully. several times.
Great gadget works very well
The recipe area in the app isn’t bad, but it seems like there’s no curation at all. Sometimes the device connectivity is a problem, and changing wifi is a real pain. Otherwise I’m really glad I have it.
Not great
Compared to the Joule app, the Anova app is, in culinary terms, bland and anaemic.
The Wifi Connection is temperamental
I really like using Sous Vide. Look for a brand/model that doesn’t connect with your phone via wifi or Bluetooth. You just need a temperature and time setting. Making it all so fancy that you can control it with your phone just adds unnecessary complexity. I often have to reset the wifi settings and sometimes it connects but more often it doesn’t. So I use the Anova manually, it is not so easy to do and it takes away from the joy of using it. Find a Sous Vide Wand that easily allows you to manually set both the temperature AND the time. This is not easily done on my Anova.
