Great Platform
I’ve been a fan of tock for years. The app is easy to use and the restaurants using it seem to be a bit nicer.
Only booking path that didn’t work
Was trying to book The French Laundry when tickets released, and the official Tock app was the only one that errored out when trying to go that path; better to just use the site
Needs to improve user friendliness
The app is too dependent on location- I made some reservations on vacation and it kept making that location my default for months. Also, I made a reservation but didn’t get an email and there is no way to view reservations on the app. And the search is really clunky. I would never use it if I didn’t have to.
Not working
Won’t load. Deleted and re-downloaded. Same issue. iPhone 13 Pro. iOS 17
Effective essential and easy!

Does the basics
The app is fine, but unless I’m missing it, there’s no way to import your reservations to your calendar, which feels like a standard feature these days. If it is available, it should be far more obvious how to do so.
Great App!
I have used TOCK several times for different venues! It so easy! Now if I could just get a table when the restaurant is full, then it will be perfect!
Can’t make reservations when checkout
Your backend sucks.about to make the reservation but fail since merchandise is sold out. Why inventory does not update. The tech is older than 2010
Buggy
Buggy and won’t make reservations that require a card forcing you to call or just avoid and use another platform.
Hard to pay
Nice UI, but saved credit cards do not work, no Apple Pay support… inconvenient at the one thing they should make easiest!
Cannot save businesses
Haven’t tried the app fully yet but the star function isn’t working to save a business I’m looking at for a birthday party. Please fix
Buggy and Tock won’t acknowledge their mistake
Reservation was made for July 3rd, the app errored out but got confirmation email with wrong date. Support makes it so that when you reply to their email response it bounces. They refused to help and got charged for the reservation for the wrong day. I may not be able to make reservations at certain restaurants because this buggy app is used by many restaurants but I will not use this app and risk being out over $500 again
Not Functional
Two stars as it was easy to make reservations, but the links to manage or cancel reservations don’t work, and there isn’t a support number to call for help.

What happened?
75% of the time the app won't search. Tap the search here area, nothing happens. Reboot app, works once or twice.
No place for requests
No place for special requests/special occasions, etc. Open table allows you to leave comments to request a high chair, booster seat, booth, bar table, etc. Open table also allows you to indicate if you are celebrating a special occasion. I'm disappointed so many restaurants are switching to this app, but it's probably less of an expense since it doesn't offer much.
Love this app
Love this app because it’s easy to make reservation. No more waiting in line definitely have to give this app to thumbs up worth every penny thank you talk for making easy reservation for the customers.
Terrible app
Got a gift amount to use at a local restaurant we like…but it can’t be applied to a check at the end of the meal. Why would you have it set up this way? So frustrating. Don’t bother with this junk of an app.
The update version is not so great
When I open the app, it doesn’t automatically go to the main page as previously done. . I live in the middle of nowhere so it’s a bit of a pain in the neck to search certain cities and then tells me “no results found” . What the heck? Definitely not as user-friendly as the older version.

Be Wary of this app! I selected a Saturday time slot for my reservation and once I pre paid for the whole meal at checkout. My reservation and confirmation email all showed that my reservation was for the following Monday what??? The Saturday date and the Monday date are on opposite sides of a Sunday to Saturday Calendar it is literally impossible for me to miss click Monday (I have short thumbs). When I reached out they were dismissive and said that they only book reservations and told me to contact the restaurant. Well Tock you can’t even book Reservations right and your motto should be “Book more than a table you get a free headache”
New app user interface update unnecessary
Interface is no longer clean. Looks cluttered with map as default and the default ranking of restaurants is not intuitive. Some restaurants now take more screen real estate space than others because of the seating options… takes more time to scroll and find what I need. Doesn’t feel high end. Please reconsider.

An Absolute Joke of an App
Oh, what a masterpiece of an app—truly a triumph of inefficiency! Somehow, it manages to be worse than just using their clunky website on a mobile browser. Want to book a popular restaurant? Good luck! The second reservations open, this app just sits there, refusing to refresh like a stubborn mule. Your only option? Kill it, restart, and by the time you’re back in, surprise! Everything’s fully booked. Bravo!
Clumsy navigation, needs dark mode
Navigating this app feels clumsy — none of the menu placement seems to be intuitively designed, though the engineering of the app is otherwise sound. Definitely both written and designed by engineers. Dark mode should be a feature as well. Brutal experience in low light conditions if you don’t want to scorch your eyes or let everyone around you know you’re booking a table on Tock. Otherwise, as I said — appears to be smooth, and reasonably bug free. Talented mobile developers…just should hire a designer 😅

Terrible App for Reservations
This is the worst app I have ever used for making restaurant reservations. It takes me to Ft Worth every time and I live in Dallas. When I try to make a reservation at the specific restaurant I want, the app says it can’t open. The choices are minimal. Why a restaurant would choose this app is beyond me. Very, very frustrating to use. It is impossible that it has as many 5 star ratings at it says it has. Clearly the app owner is manipulating the process. Do not use this app if you can avoid it.
50% of the time it works every time
Brutal app that fails to launch and all of what you’re left with is just a white screen. The content is great but stick to the website.

Time zone disaster!
NEVER make a reservation using Tock before you travel. My Google calendar includes reservations from 5:00pm to 10:00pm for a single 7:00pm reservation. How does that even happen when I’ve only traveled CONUS since I started planning this trip? Most people rating this app must never leave their home time zone. If pictures were shareable, I would have sent my screen shot with 3 automatically saved Google Calendar Events (5:00, 7:00, and 10:00). Worst part is that the restaurant “trusts” Tock so much that they don’t answer their phone, so I couldn’t verify my reservation by phone!
Not Functioning - Canada
App not functioning, white screens, main page does not have pictures and buttons not working Not sure if this may not be configured for Canada, but not sure that should effect it.
