The GOAT
I’ve used Driversnote exclusively for 8 years doing on-and-off delivery gigs. It’s seriously your best friend while you’re running around out there.
Very disappointed
I do t mind paying for apps but I was not aware this app was a paid app. I used for this week only and it locked my data and didn’t work without my monthly subscription fee. Be more upfront. I deleted the app and downloaded another app and am paying. I don’t like being deceived.
Drivenote Review
I’ve been using Drivenote for many years now and find it an absolute lifesaver when it comes to keeping track of business versus personal travel. It makes maintaining an accurate logbook simple and takes a lot of the hassle out of recording kilometres. One feature I’d really like to see added is the ability to enter the vehicle’s odometer/kilometre reading when recording a fuel purchase. Having the fuel entry and odometer reading together would make it much easier to keep an accurate record and would be particularly useful for tracking fuel consumption and maintaining a complete vehicle history. Overall, a fantastic product that I’ve found extremely useful over the years. Keep up the great work!
App drops out
Every time I change a trip from one setting to another the app drops out. Changing a trip from business to personal and press save the entire app closes and have to redo the trip. This is very annoying when you need to catch up on trips and have to restart the app constantly. Bug needs to be fixed

Driversnote IBeacon auf Iphone funktioniert nur teilweise
Der iBeacon erkennt nur manchmal dass das auto fährt. Wenn man eine Automation auf dem iPhone einstellt wird Driversnote dennoch nicht geöffnet folglich startet auch kein automatisches Tracking. Dasselbe mit dem iBeacon, bitte helfen sie mir.
Beacon still needs App to be open
Tested this and seemed accurate. Paid the subscription to get the iBeacon only to find out that the beacon still requires the app to be ‘open’ to track. Usually not the case for bluetooth connections. Personally don’t think it’s worth the extra cost. However, support is responsive to concerns and replies fairly promptly. Update: New version that came out 3 days ago is very cool. I love the locked screen display and notifications!
Good after drivers
Was referred by my brother this app is really sufficient and kick butt. I highly recommend this for people that are driving to keep miles on their own.
Disappointing customer service
I liked the app, but my experience with customer service was disappointing. I was charged for July even though I did not use the app at all, and my request for a one-time goodwill refund was refused. Melusi, the Customer Success Specialist, then suggested that I set a calendar reminder next time, which felt patronising and as though I was being spoken to like a child. I had planned to use Driversnote again, but this experience has changed my mind
Reliable AND Annoying!
This App and the hardware I purchased to go with it works exceptionally. It annoys me relentlessly (to no end), to actually assign my vehicle travel for either work or personal use (as required for taxation in my country). The beacon improved the accuracy of the system, automatically learning regular routes and categories them, only requiring a one touch confirmation option. There is scope for improvement and I hope they reinvest profits into R&D, supporting the local geographical community, business & co-ops who have better (and more recent) data. You already have the existing infrastructure information through your own client base (de-identifiable), take a leap!
15 trips a month free is a lie
The app doesn’t really work unless you turn on the location, but it you forget it on and have to go back and delete the trips that aren’t relevant it counts that as going over 15 and you can never use the free version again.
Great App… when it works.
I drive A LOT for someone who is not a trucker. I have driven about 70,000 miles since downloading this app, then purchasing the motion-sensing device that auto-tracks trips. I learned the hard way that, even though my iPhone is less than 15” away from the “bug,” it does not always automatically track trips. I have lost a minimum of 20% of mileage because it worked so well the first month I had it, I’d forget to check if the auto-track bug had activated the app. THAT has been a bane of my trip tracking existence. To be fair, however, IF YOU CHECK EVERY TRIP EVERY TIME YOU BEGIN TO ROLL, the app is really accurate and works perfectly. I pay a monthly subscription for it, purchased the bug, and expected it to work as advertised. Auto-track is extremely iffy. I’ve had situations where I have forgotten to check the app a few miles away from my previous destination. When typing in that location, the app says something like, “the location you selected is too far away”. BUT I WAS JUST THERE! IT’S on the last stop, and I didn’t teleport a few miles away. My car is my office. I’m busy, take a ton of phone calls between service calls… I don’t believe it’s too much to ask it to work as advertised. But, as I said, if you do not get distracted or you get into the habit of making sure your trip has started, it hasn’t let me down in that regard. If you never want to forget, don’t buy the bug or put it auto track. Just hit the + sign and hit begin tracking a trip. It won’t cost you hundreds and hundreds of dollars in write-offs, or the cost of the bug. August 20, 2026: I was asked to leave another review. What I said above stands. Since April of 2025, I have driven over 70K miles. I use the app every single day. My latest trip took me into Illinois, with a 7-hour drive. The first leg of that day - 3 hours - was not auto tracked. It’s part of it. I sometimes forget to check to make sure it’s on standby - if it isn’t, I just tap on track a trip. It’s buggy sometimes, but it’s saving me a lot of money for a small monthly fee (and auto track works 90% of the time - you just have to pay attention before you roll).
good app
so far it’s a good mileage tracker. my accountant told me about it and have others using the same app. cool that it shows you price per mile deductibles
Pricing is a joke!
For new users let me explain, used this app for several years and I am a small business, 1 person, at the $13 a month it was the most expensive option at that time. Now they hike it to $17 for existing users and $22 for new users (seems they dropped that after backlash) it is now far too expensive for the simple purpose. I would have kept paying too if they didn’t hike the cost but have now dropped this one in favor of a MUCH better option, “Drivers Note Maxima” which has a lifetime cost HALF the cost of a years subscription for this one and works automatically from CarPlay connection, no stupid beacon and also has feedback via CarPlay. More features and more developed. If you are sick of price gouging for simple applications, shop around, Maxima does everything this did and more at almost 1/4 the yearly cost.
Worked Brilliantly
Have used several logbook apps over the 20 years of running a small business. DriversNote is by far the easiest and the most comprehensive report that makes my Accountant happy! The company is very responsive and efficient. I have no hesitation in recommending this app.

Works half of the time
I have the autotrack on and I’m paying for the subscription but then randomly it won’t track the drive.. and it’ll be a few drives in a row so then I have to figure them out. Very annoying.

Easy breezy. The only thing I would suggest would be that this great app should prompt the user every time to enter odometer readings. That would be so very helpful.

Went to work and it missed over a km from leaving my home. Wrong home address. When I typed my address said not found. Had to manually enter my home address. Didn’t turn on to track on the way home. Waste of my time

Beware
Standalone app totally not suitable for someone who drive all day long with mixed type of use. If you are planning to use their ibeacon then that should work fine. Unfortunately this app is totally not reliable to start tracking without it (motion detection). If you forget to double check tracking - be prepared to pay more tax next year ;-) looks like this company tries to make money on ibeacon devices as other apps never had a problem with motion detection just driversnote is so picky. Being able to cut and adjust trips is a win and that should be available in other apps
Well designed easy to use
As I said -only reason it’s not a higher rating is that this is what everyone should expect from subscription apps not that one thats done well deserves 5 stars .

Selv der er defineret køretøjer på web udgaven. Altså ingen link der imellem for den del
I agree. Limits not clearly stated
I like the app, but I was not aware the app was going to block my trips after 15. Obviously, 15 a month is unreasonable for people required to track. The monthly cost is way above the average of other apps. Most are $4.99-$6.99 a month. This is double. Not worth it. Oh and 20% off of $14 is $11.20, not $12.
Pleasantly Surprised
You pay $11 per month. Tracks every single trip if you want. You mark if it’s private or business trip. It shows you your mileage immediately. My favorite part is that it generates actual monthly reports for you. I uber and spark.
iBeacon only available under yearly paid subscription? Why?
We don’t drive much so the free plan is enough for us. Why we can’t buy an iBeacon without having to pay for a yearly subscription? Why? Other alternatives have it available even if you don’t need a yearly subscription. This makes no sense.
Work trips
Would be great if when entering a trip then could just choose/do a return trip option instead of having to enter every trip back.
No Carplay support
This app is literally made to use while you are driving, but there is no Carplay support. This would have been much more convenient and safety conscious ( you would not have to look down unto a cellphone screen) Also, when you want to enter a manual odometer reading, a huge green “save” button completely obscures the number you have to enter on the new iPhone 14. Guess the testers missed that one. If not for these two shortcomings I would've rated the App much higher: does what it is supposed to and fairly user friendly.
Good app but some issues
The mileage for the same trip is not always the same. Have to keep adjusting the starting point as it won’t start tracking for .5 to 1km into trip. Hopefully that with the beacon it’s more accurate. If not will be seeking out another app

Like it but it needs work.
Can not add toll gate fees or scan receipts for that. I can not view or print notes on the reports. The only way to view it is going into every ride separately. I can not delete locations added accidentally from the list of locations.

You should be able to swipe left or right for Business or work drives. Also it randomly stop recording my drives for no reason and I lost a lot of drives. Otherwise it’s good….
