To my surprise…I use consistently
I am loving this. It keeps track of my average gas mileage and how much I am spending. It is VERY easy to use. It is also helpful to keep track of oil changes and repairs. I have tried several other ways to keep track of all this but never followed through. This app is that easy.
App / website dead???
Getting login / DB errors. No warning to backup data so am hoping this is temporary!!
Does what it needs to but wish upgrade reminders would stop
Does the essentials but gets 1 star less because of the annoying upgrade reminders. I’ve used it ling enough to know that’s an option…and I’m not interested.
No push or badge notifications?
I have been using the paid version of the app for around two years and like it overall. One complaint i have is the app does not generate push or badge notifications to let you know when maintenance is due. You have to go look through each vehicle to see for yourself. I do have notifications enabled in the iOS settings but never see anything from the app. Can this be addressed in an update?
Fails to locate fuel stations
Does not know about Love’s or Kroger fuel centers even when I use the same ones over and over again.

Subscription not found?
Subscribed for another 10 months, but app says subscription not found. This service better not lose my data!
Logged Out
App won’t let me log back in. I used the same email address and password as the online account (which shows the same information), so I don’t understand what the issue is. Even when I choose “forgot password,” it says that there’s no account with that email address. Please fix.
One time purchase
Should have one time purchase. The app doesn’t after much for there to be a monthly subscription. It’s a simple app.
Worse for Wear
Why has this app not been updated in about a year? As of early May 2026. It’s becoming “worse for wear.” No Liquid Glass update for one. The keyboard is the old keyboard for two. And for three, when typing notes in an entry, the screen isn’t scrolling down properly, so text starts to type behind the keyboard and you can’t properly move the screen upward to view it. You can only pull it up, then it bounces back down. So the app is getting glitchy and overdue for a visual and functional update.

Useless
The app that I had been using that was free had my data from my car for the last seven years and they suddenly decided to discontinue it and I lost all my data so I try to find the best one out there , download this one I do not like it . can I get a refund?
Quirk
The app does not recognize your subscription but always asks you to buy another one. Inconvenient, but can be worked around.
Long time user
I’ve used Fuelly for well over 10 years.While I find the interface easy to use for the most part, the thing that drives me crazy is the repeated loss of commonly used gas stations from the map of available neaby locations. Over the years I have experienced the repeated loss of the local Costco gas station. It seems that whatever API the developer is using to populate the mapped locations is inconsistently updating or deleting available locations. I have written to support a couple of times and the first time I did so the issue was resolved shortly thereafter. However, the same issue has returned and the last support request was unsatisfactory in that there appeared to be no available resolution. In addition, I’ve experienced a significant number of gas stations in my travels that just aren’t available in the maps. Some are new, some have been around for years. There is an ability to manually list stations and select from that list, however there is no way to sort the list or remove unwanted entries. In summary I like this app and have paid the annual fee each and every year for a long time, but this will be the last year doing so unless the above issues are resolved satifactorily. At this point I think the “developer” is just milking the cow.
Was 5 Stars - Now Login Issues
I have been using this app religiously since 2012 across multiple vehicles and even a boat (mostly for boat maintenance tracking). The app randomly says I need to login, but it doesn’t allow me to login when I enter my credentials. I’ve also tried the “forgotten password” link but I never receive the password reset email. I know it’s the correct email address because I’ve used the same address for 20+ years. I have so much information stored on the this app and want to continue using it but it’s becoming very time-consuming dealing with login issues when I simply want to add a fuel-up and get back onto the road. Additionally, please improve the search feature for gas stations. I often need to manually enter the gas station address for gas stations more than ten years old (not a new business).

Keep Tracks of Everything, so Easy!
Terrible app
This app is useless. Last update was a year ago therefore majority of 2026 vehicles aren’t listed and don’t show in my vehicle. Wasted 8 bucks
Liters
The app should be able to accept the fuel consumption in liters and automatically change it to liters. In other words, it should provide for the input in gallons or in liters and provide the results in the metric system and in the English system. It is still a great app.
Android vs Apple
I just changed from an android to an iPhone, and found my fully app had a fraction of the functionality on iOS. Why, Fuelly, why? I can only see fuel and service records now? How incredibly disappointing that it’s missing all the other stats! Please consider expanding the iOS app to match the android version, especially the total cost of ownership. I liked tracking every non-service purchase/mod to my 4Runner.
Features
My wife and I have been longtime users. We had the original app before Fuelly purchased it. Fuelly has neglected the app for too long. The app does not automatically sync across devices or users. The location of fueling or service is not searchable, editable, or sortable. Duplicate entries cannot be merged. Fuelly customer service stated they are working on significant upgrades to the app. Unfortunately, they are unable to give a timeframe for when a new release will be available. My wife and I continue to use the app. We have been unable to find a similar iPhone/iPad app. If we did, we would give serious consideration to switching.
Free version works
I use the free version to track all of my vehicles, gas mileage. It works and is also able to take notes about oil changes and mechanical repairs.
Cannot retroactively add a fuelup.
Changing my rating to 1 star because you cannot add a missed fuelup without deleting all of the fuelups after it. (The "Last odometer" field is autofilled and you cannot change it manually. Therefore the mileage calculation will be WRONG.)
Why the watered down version?
I used to have an android phone and got an app called aCar. It was great. When I switched to an iPhone I went looking for the same app. I found Fuelly. It had the same logo. Made by the same developer. It’s the same app or so I thought. I got Fuelly. It is good. All my records transferred over. Then I started to notice that some of the features of aCar were missing. Fuelly seems to be watered down version of aCar. Same price less features. I ask: why water down a great app?
Strong US bias
Despite varying unit options this just doesn’t work for areas outside the USA as input forms are not varied with unit changes
Substantial Savings
Over the past several years I’ve saved about $1,500 in fuel costs almost entirely buying required 93 octane for an old Jaguar. I also use it for a Prius which makes an inexpensive car even cheaper to operate. Love the program. I justsaved $20 on my latest fill-up for the Jag! What’s not to like.
Android better
I have an iPhone and my girlfriend has an android. I’m disappointed that the iPhone app is not as good. I still very much enjoy the app on my iPhone anyway because it has been very helpful. I just wish they were as good as what’s on the android But this is the best app I’ve seen for keeping track of your car, expense and mileage.
It was great!
Everything was great with this app until today when it logged me out “since my credentials changed”. When I went to reset my password it gave me an error filled with a bunch of computer code! What’s going on!?!?!
Needs updating
App still works good, but there have been bugs in this app for YEARS. For example, when you enter your fill up on the same screen it will say you increased 1.5mpg since last fill up but then right below that it will say -1.5mpg. Contradicting the other number. Please update this app or sell it off. If we’re still paying annually for this I would expect at the very least two updates a year.
US version disappoints
I only got as far as looking for my car - a Cupra- nada! Seat was missing too 😠

Desperately needs full app widget support as well as full carplay support as well as carplay widget support!
Chokes on my old laptop, but otherwise PERFECT!
This is an AWESOME App, but will no longer allow me to ”verify (I am) human” on my old MacBook laptop. Sad day. Will, as usual, need to come up with another place to log in with my data. Boo hiss to the buzzkills at “CLOUDFLARE!
Beyond angry
You get 1 star because I can’t leave 0. I have used this app for many years with numerous vehicles. Suddenly it stopped allowing me to access it. Requiring me to login but at the same time Not allowing me to login. Please fix this problem.
Good app
Great app. My only issue was entering info on a missed top up and I figured out a work around
Disappointing
At glance seems to be ok but there is no my car model, (i40) struggled to enter car details and basically to register my car. Had to choose similar model closest to my but what for it asks VIN and other stuff? I just needed to put the taken fuel,current odometer and get sort of visual charts. Got it kicked out, useless stuff
Total miles shown in error.
Now has a glitch with mileage issue which cannot be corrected. Was handy up until March 2025.
Good Product
The product is very good. It does work in between my android and my iPhone. I use an iPhone for work purposes and android for Personal. The android app has more information, but there is a better interface on the iPhone app. They could improve the android interface to look more like the iPhone where it has a dashboard.
Lack of features
After using this app on Android for years, it’s disappointing to find the lack of features the in IOS version.
Good app.
This is a good app for mileage tracking. Upgrade request would be to separate regular/premium graphing, tracking etc so I could compare cost per km etc of using different types of fuel

I found this app very difficult to use.
Erases my data
I want to like it. It works very smoothly, easy to set up, easy to use. But it forgets almost half my logs which makes it completely useless. :-/ guys fix it, I’m neat the end of my patience.

Used for over 10 years but recently updated and all logs corrupted. Very frustrating.
Subscription to input my own notes?
A subscription? Really? Why would I pay monthly for a glorified notepad all of the information is input manually.
Logs don’t display correctly?
When I enter my kms for fuelups and maintenance and then save them Fuelly for some reason changes the kms? For example, I’ll enter 282,543kms for a fuelup and save the log. Then when I go back to look at the log the kms will be 181,478kms?? If I click to edit the log, the kms are correct but when I save it again it goes back to incorrectly displaying the kms. Pretty useless for tracking kms/fuel if it doesn’t display the information properly.
Features moved to subscription.
It will be a cold day in hell before I’ll pay a recurring fee to use an app. You would have my support with a premium non-subscription option.

Fails at basic math
I’ve been using the app a while now and it does not appear to track MPG correctly. The simple math is divide the miles traveled since the last fill up by the gallons needed to fill current fill up. I fill up to full every trip to gas station and the number it calculated is off. This has potential to be a great app if it could simply do what it was designed to do- track mpg. I love all the features but the app is pretty much useless when it can’t perform simple arithmetic.
Great app
Great app for tracking mileage and keeping tabs on service. Only issue I have with it is that it hasn’t updated service stations and every time I fuel up I need to manually enter the service station info. I’ve been fuelling at the same place for over a year now and it never appears on the map.
Pop ups!
Pushing your premium version with endless pop ups is frustrating. A simple yes or no and then stop this!
Only works for older technologies
This was good until I got a PHEV…On my second tank of gas I drove over 4500 km and consumed 0.3L/100km (about 900mpg) The app would not accept the numbers. I contacted Support who just shrugged their shoulders (weren’t interested in fixing it). I will find a more accurate app but right now it’s a hassle to figure out how to take all my old data for various cars and transfer it to a new app.
