Love it
Recently switched from MileIQ after their huge price increase and TripLog does everything I need for less than half the price. I'm a CPA and used to recommend MileIQ to clients, but now I'm recommending TripLog instead.
Won’t enter fuel, lost past records
Auto scans receipt, but when save is clicked nothing happens and information disappears. When I opened it up again the majority of the entries are missing.

Regular Issues
This is the product I have to get support for more than any other that I use currently, and I’m an app developer myself and tend to be pretty self-serve. As of 8/2026, I’m pulling the plug as a paid user since 2019. Had to change phones earlier this year and came to find the app hadn’t uploaded anything for over a month. I was driving a lot of miles at the time so that’s going to be a costly screwup courtesy of TripLog.
Auto start is buggy
I was never very happy with the auto start. The car Bluetooth wasn’t triggering a trip tracking, magic start sometimes did, but often doesn’t. So I purchased a beacon which unfortunately also doesn’t trigger a log. Unfortunately I will have to keep looking for a better app, as this one doesn’t work for me (on IPhone 16pro with a 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe)
TripLog is Superior!!!!
I’ve been very satisfied with this app and was surprised with the features the app has. Coming from overpriced MileIQ over to this app, I have been more than happy making the switch. Tracks more than just mileage and is very easy to use for tracking expenses like gas and food while I am on the road. The auto-fill/scanning feature is outstanding and saves me time. Should have made the switch sooner!!!!
Just not working
The app won’t find the address I’m typing in manually, so this app is literally useless. It doesn’t matter whether I type the street address or the name of the place (it’s a sports centre), nothing comes up

App worked like a clock a couple years back, although used too much battery. Now completely the opposite, battery consuption is ok, but auto start functions only every other day.
Reports no longer work
I’ve been using this app for many years. The last few months, I am unable to get my reports to send. I have to email help every single time which delays my check. Why can I not get my reports via the app anymore? Please fix.
Nothing is easier
I’ve used several mileage and expense trackers ever the years and TripLog is the easiest to use. And the reporting and integration with other software is just as easy. Plus the reports are spot on and super easy to access.
Why have you changed the reports???
Stop making it worse it just gets more complicated and annoying
Works well
Doing this manually would kill me so this is a time saver. I’m still trying to figure some features out to lock in certain regular trips like commute for some are mixed
Too many bugs!
I first used it in “Magic Trip” mode. This used enormous amounts of battery, and gave me false trips from riding with other people or other vehicles. I bought the USB-beacon, and then it got way worse. It keeps missing legs of trips, complete trips and complete days of travel. I always have to use google timeline every month in order to get reasonably correct reports. App keeps nagging me to turn on background functions that are already on (location service, Bluetooth, auto app update, background apps activity etc) Helpdesk keeps sending standard forms that doesn’t help much... My advice: Buy something else!
No way to cancel account
I tried it for a while but decided it wasn't for me. Now there seems to be no way to cancel the account ir stop the regular emails. Very annoying
Great Addition for tax purposes
Use it on auto start mode it saves me at end of year. Just set it up correctly for types of trips

Draining baterry
Good app, but sometimes draining baterry , even if i am sitting in office.
Average interface and difficult subscription payment
The app seems to work pretty good, tracks most of my drives and logs them correctly. So my basic review is good. It is a difficult to navigate interface, particularly compared to mileiq. However, it seems to work. I hate not being able to pay through Apple Pay or Google Pay or PayPal. Having to give them my credit card directly. So I’ve deducted stars for both of these issues.

Cancelling is ridiculous
If you need to cancel your subscription good luck, I’ve had to EMAIL to cancel my subscription, I’ve gone to the contact us section, tried to send an email only for 0 indication it’s even been sent (no thank you for your inquiry) if you click cancel subscription on the app it will take you to your subscription but give you 0 option to opt out? Would not recommend.
Great product
I’ve been using this product for many years. Works great but doesn’t make it easy to turn auto start on and off or to insert trips the system fails to record. Overall it’s worth having and works great for my business.
Great App - inconsistent USB Bluetooth interface
Would totally rate the App 5 Stars for user interface, edit flexibility, and reporting capabilities. The 3 Star overall I because of the inconsistent trip auto-start feature that is supposed to engage with the USB Bluetooth chip (add-on purchase) that’s plugged in your vehicle’s USB port. This past year I lost 24% of mileage due to Bluetooth auto start communication failure. I definitely recommend the app, but don’t rely on the auto start feature to “auto start” every trip.

The best auto tracking app keeps getting better! The accurate data capture is outstanding! End of year reporting schedules makes tax prep reporting a breeze!
Not worth the money
App seemed to work fine until I paid for the subscription. Since then it has failed to record trips properly. I have cancelled my subscription and will not be paying for it again. Speaking of which, the subscription service requires external card information, would be so much easier if with Apple Pay through the App Store and not an external provider! Would not recommend this product as there are other apps out there that are more efficient and more accurate!

Triplog drive - waste of $$ & lost trip records
After reading all the great reviews about triplog drive I purchased this only to find out it wont work unless you have the app set to “always allow local permission “ which means the app is forever tracking my phone location and using the battery , after many many help support requests , the answer was I have to allow this or it won’t work , so far after 5 weeks I have lost 4 weeks worth of travel logs What a waste of money
Pretty good so far
Having dome trouble with uploading fuel purchases sometimes they don't upload, app design is crowded but other wise seems to work.
It’s good, but not great for me
I’m using TripLog to track my work milage. Usually it works fine, but sometimes MagicTrip doesn’t activate and uploading my milage to Concur as work milage doesn’t work at all for me, which was the original reason I chose this app. So I’m reduced to enter my milage to Concur manually, but for that the app is adequate. So if linking to Concur isn’t important to you I can recommend it.
Best mileage tracker
I used MileIQ for years. I didn’t know what I was missing. TripLog is so much easier. Much simpler to change categories, quickly see my trips and navigate through all the info. Why didn’t I switch sooner.
Pro subscription doesn’t work
I’ve been subscribed for over 2 months and the app did not capture a single trip of mine.
Great mileage tracker app
Great vehicle mileage tracking app with expenses and reports built in. Can directly output to tax software as well. Highly recommend
It’s ok - not brilliant but ok
The auto start doesn’t always work which is irritating if you don’t notice for a few days. Not intuitive to work out how to amend trips as it often misses out the beginning. Hard to alter an adress once in its memory. But a lot better than a manual system.

Auto Start I give Up
One reason I liked this app was the auto start function which seem to not work anymore. It was easy plug and go. Now it does not matter I have to remember to start manually. Very disappointed. Will be shopping around for another app
KM tracking
Love how it tracks my business KM in a fleet vehicle.
Functional but could be much cleaner and smoother
Functionality is generally good, though the TripLog drive enhanced automatic tracking still misses portions of trips etc. App design is not really up to standard and need simplification and improvement. Overall it does the job and makes logging miles in xero at the end of the month easier (would be helpful to be able to integrate and automatically produce mileage expenses!)
Easy to use
We use this at work and it’s been a life saver. Minimum effort- great for mileage reimbursement.
Trip start
The trip start but do not stay actife to the trip end so gps tracking is not happening when trip ends all details must be edited it does not record the end
Dependable support
Trip log support always helps me sort my year end mileage reports. They have been very patient with me.

Helpful tool to show recordings of the precise time and location to your trip to work. Would be five stars if the subscrition wasnt as costly.
