Month name not displayed
Update: Thanks to Google for resolving the issue. This has always been my favorite calendar app. I love the functionality of the calendar but suddenly the name of the month is no longer displayed and hard to tell which month I am looking at. This seems to be a recent incident. Please fix.
Latest update: BOOO!
Since the latest update, event colors no longer sync on my iPhone 17 Pro Max; they’re now all the same color on the phone & don’t at all resemble the Google Calendar setup on my MacBook. I’ve tried the dev suggestions to no avail. Boo! Used to love this app. Please fix!
Good but needs 2 critical updates
Love this app but it’s frustrating to have to open it to see today’s date. Seems a simple fix to have the date reflected on the app icon. Also wish I could enter precise times from mobile vs defaulting to 5 minute increments instead of having to go to desktop to accomplish that. These two fixes would make this a 5 star app!
Love BUT
I live by mi Google Calendar and love basically everything… except the new update hides the name of the month in all views. And it’s very irritating to now have to tap twice to search or go to today. Please revert back to how it’s shown in the app preview photos!! PLEASE!!
Would be awesome if…
I love using Google Calendar, but not being able to change colours (I like using custom colours instead of the default ones.) of my calendars in the app is really annoying. I have to delete the app and then go into it through an old version on my search engine to make a new calendar or change the colours of them. Secondly it doesn’t look the same between the two versions the one online looks brighter and less dull. The app itself does what I need it to do but my brain needs the colours to be happy.

Пользуюсь давно) Есть момент, который замедляет работу, в режиме вида по 3 дня, а именно: Создал мероприятие, настроил как надо, порой нужно его переместить из одного дня на другой не открывая это мероприятие, можно зажать перемещать как нужно вправо или влево, но это очень медленно (прокрутка очень медленная). Было бы классно, если бы можно было одним пальцем зажать мероприятие, другим пролистать не отпуская предыдущий, выбрав день, поставить туда, куда нужно. Это бы сильно упростила работу, когда надо быстро поменять день и время не открывая мероприятие)
Unintuitive
I hate that the months swipe left to right rather than up and down. Not intuitive or how the majority of other calendars work.
Suggsetion for icon
Icon should show the last date of the month, like 31 in august, 30 in june and 28in feb etc.
Add to ios
I want to use my voice commands for I phone to control my Google calendar also.. if u can help me with that, this would be a five star review.
Will not delete event’s easily
Overly complicated app that IS NOT USER FRIENDLY. I dont need auto input of everything and then not be able to delete it.

It’s way better than normal calender. I can’t spoil it but just get the app and you’ll see what i’m talking about!

Favorite, but…
The best calendar in my opinion. However, would be great if I could link external calendars from the app. I’m not always at a computer where I can do this. Right now I’m sitting in a coffee shop looking at my stepson’s soccer schedule on BAND and would like to export their calendar to my Google Calendar.

Clearing all events from notifications
I don’t know whose fault this is, but every time I go to clear one of my notifications ALL the notifications go away. Please fix this.

But all of a sudden tasks and events are missing. Have rebooted and turned iPhone 16 off and on. Checked all settings. What the heck happened and how do I fix it?
Great EXCEPT
I love how easy this app is BUT it would be perfect if the widget had a week view option. I would LOVE it if I could open my phone and see a preview of my week!! Please please make that an option for your widget!!
Times are wrong
Though I love you can share the calendar with different phone types, when someone in a shared calendar adds an event the time it happens does not match with what they put. My friend put work from 4-9pm and on his side it was correct, on my side it was scheduled for 11-4. When you click to edit it, it says the correct time but doesn’t update on the calendar. The only way to fix it is to drag the event to the correct time. It is very frustrating.
Week and day view lost month name
Used to be much better. Recent changes have made it worse including making go to today two clicks instead of one and removing the month name from week and day view. I’ve tried everything to get it back even deleted and reinstalled the app, no dice.

Why the 31?!
The 31 symbol makes me crazy. I have switched from iCal, which shows the current date. Why on earth does the 31 not change? This feature is very maddening

Great app with one suggestion
I absolutely love Google Calendar! It has become one of the main tools I use every day to stay organized, productive, and disciplined. The integration with Google Tasks is excellent, and it has really helped me build better daily habits. I do have one suggestion that would improve the experience on iPhone. When I mark a task as completed, a confirmation pop-up with an Undo button appears at the bottom of the screen. While I appreciate having the option to undo, the pop-up blocks the area where I need to tap to complete the next task. This interrupts my workflow because I have to wait for the pop-up to disappear or tap it before I can continue. It would be much smoother if the confirmation appeared at the top of the screen or in another location that doesn’t interfere with the next task. Right now, it’s easy to accidentally tap Undo, which means I have to manually complete the task again. This is a small usability improvement, but it would make completing multiple tasks much faster and more seamless. Thank you to the Google Calendar team for creating such a fantastic app. It has genuinely helped me stay disciplined and organized, and I look forward to future updates!
Worse and worse
Every time this app updates the quality of life features disappear. Now it defaults to “day” view instead of “schedule”? It doesn’t even show what time things start! Useless
Missing a couple things to make it perfect
I always find myself coming back to this calendar. The only thing missing in my opinion is a daily pop-up agenda that you can see from the month view and the Tasks integration without having to open the separate app.

Reoccurring events bug
Since one of the last updates reoccurring events from synced iCloud accounts aren’t working as excepted. With reoccurring events in a Google Calendar, clicking an an event occurrence brings up that specific day and I can choose to delete that single instance. With a reoccurring event with an iCloud calendar, clicking on the specific event brings up the ORIGINAL event and day and I can’t delete the selected occurrence. Please fix

App icon should show the current date (like APPLE). Not a picture of the 31.
Disappointed
How come it cannot recognize the dates or appointments from the context of the Gmail application? like Apple calendar and apple Mail application which are very well synchronized ?! in Gmail, It sometimes does, but even if it doesn’t, I expect when I select the date from the context, it let me to add it to my calendar!
Bring back the multi-colored icon!
Really just here to say that this new blue icon (for the app and computer) was a strange change. I’m programmed that blue = docs so I keep opening the wrong thing. Still. PLEASE change it back!!!

New app appearance
I hate the new app appearance - it doesn’t stick out and I can never find it on my phone
Update: Fixed! - Removed Functionality
Final update 8/7/26: thank you for returning the ability to expand the whole month quick-view while in the daily view. That has returned the app to its previous functionality. For some reason the recent update removed a key function in the app: being able to quickly jump to a future day by expanding the month at the top of the daily view. No functionality replaced this one, it is simply a loss that makes the app more clunky and less convenient to use. I hope the change is reverted soon. Update: I have background refresh in already. All of my appointments show up correctly, as they have been. The missing function is related to navigating within the app. I still cannot see the old monthly pull-down when viewing a single day in the app. It is the same function that others have been mentioning in their recent reviews.
Colours show wrong in the app
My calendar events are beautifully colour coordinated when I open in browser but within the app the colours look completely different. Also wish that for the day view you could choose where the day begins and ends — I’m not going to be scheduling anything at 3am.
View Options
Been using Google Calendar forever and love it…except for the most recent update. I loved being able to view all events in a specific day and then hit the drop down to see the whole month and jump to a specific day. The new update removes that flexibility and reduces efficiency - gotta tap through several screens to get where I want to go. Please put this feature back!
Glitch with adding location
Google Calendar has pretty much everything I need in a calendar. For a couple months there’s been a glitch when I try to add a location. Everything freezes after typing a letter or 2 into location section and the only way to reset is to close the app and start again. No, not the biggest issue but is ongoing and I’ve had to re-enter (& remember) a lot of appointment info

So annoying. Everytime I delete and edit an event, it freezes on me. This has been happening for months but I've been too lazy to complain but now it's just annoying!!!

Update! I think enough people complained. They sent out an update! What happened with being able to see the month?! So frustrating! You bring up your calendar and have no idea what month is being shown.
Latest version freezing
iPhone 15 Pro, latest iOS version (iOS 26.0.1) and latest app version as at the time of this review. App can’t handle a “busy” day. Have multiple events due to sports tournament and app freezes when clicking on an event for that specific day but not other days. Pls fix / increase the max amount of info allowed per day before app crashing / freezing! Thanks
My month is gone at your of page
I absolutely love Google Calendar. But on the last update now it won’t show me what month I’m in ever and no matter what setting I change. This is extremely frustrating. Highly inconvenient! No matter what I do there is no getting back what month I’m in. So I have to take a wild guess. I don’t know how many mistakes have happened now. Will now have to find another calendar, which is absolute ridiculousness!

I wish this app displayed the correct date on the Home Screen. It always feels useless with the incorrect date.

All of a sudden the month name is not displayed in any view. Downloaded the latest update hoping this was fixed -NOPE. This is very frustrating.
