iPhone app v iPad app
The ‘from start’ is missing in ‘investments’ on the iPhone app. I find this very useful on the iPad app.
Not worth it
I was getting quote for my car of 900 pounds and This year I was having 7 years no claim and I got insurance of 1500 pound and they gave me reason that there are lot of thing like accidents in your city so bcz of that this is the best price really fed up of these people don’t get insurance from them
Suggestions
When I was with DirectLine I had the ability to add my policy number to my Apple wallet, which was a nice touch. This would be a great enhancement for the Aviva app
No change
This app is registered in my old email address that I no longer have access to. Due to this I can’t change anything as it send all the reset information to my old email address and will not allow me to open an app with my new address. I was also told that Aviva don’t have an app by one of their customer representatives, then changed their mind to say the app is not set up for my type of car insurance policy. What a bag of fun
App Updates
On the whole good but about 6 months ago every time I did an update it wouldn’t download properly. Normally had to uninstall & reinstall for things to work. Then MyDrive simply stopped working for me and stopped recording my journeys. Reinstall didn’t help. I used to rely on my good driving score to get a bit of a discount at renewal time. Without the benefit of seeing the journeys my renewal quote rocketed. I cancelled and went elsewhere.
App does not work.
Will not allow sign in.
My drive
They have a feature which is supposed to judge your driving and reward with a discount but in spite of very high scores they give reasons that I'm not eligible e.g that I've not driven enough miles (10000 +}. They've now increased my premium by 49% after no claims
Terrible Graphs
I really dislike the graph viewer for the workplace pension. No control or ability to view what you want. The only options are to view the last 3 months or the last year. What if I want to see the entire history? What if I want to see a select range? What if I only want to view both my contributions and the total value? You’re hiding data for no reason and it’s frustrating. I’ve resorted to manually recording the value of my pension each month so I can make my own graphs. I shouldn’t have to do this. Please look at something like Trading 212’s app. Your desktop website is almost as bad as the app for this, too.
Shows old accounts
As per the title, the app shows old, closed accounts and for some infuriating reason defaults to displaying these rather than the accounts you have which are still live. Products are great, but their app and web based My Aviva portal are pretty hideous.
New app is terrible
The old app was far superior. Allowing easy and instant forecasting for retirement & was a pleasure - even fun to use, pretend to retire at 57, no problem, pretend to work to 70 no problem etc. Low / medium/ high projections / Adjust payment amount to see effect etc all done in seconds. Now its trying to look better its over complicated everything to the extent it is unusable. What a shame
Getting worse
There used to be a really handy feature in this app called ‘what my pension might be worth’ with a low, medium and high prediction. This was really useful but has now disappeared. I got in touch via the Help button and was asked for all my personal details on about the third person I got to. This was really offputting as I don’t need personal information about my personal pension. I just want to know where this handy feature has disappeared to please? So now I’ve decided to write a review on here hoping that the tech people see it and can fix it.
Latest updates make my IPad Obsolete
I have used this app for a few years and it has been perfect for what I need. Unfortunately the latest updates require a version ofIpad IOS greater than version 17. Unfortunately my IPad only runs version 16 so either I spend a lot of money on a new device or I am no longer able to manage my money invested with Aviva. I guess I could alternatively just move my pension and savings to another company.
Face ID Constantly failing
Face ID keeps failing intermittently. Very frustrating, I have to manually recover and use my password. It’s 2026 guys.
What idiot programmed this?
I got to postcode, put it in and the app refuses to accept it. PROGRAMME ERROR! Tried numerous ways - no luck just stuck on the page. Unable to use the app. I suggest you fire whoever sold you this software and hire a component operator. Makes AVIVA look bad. And destroys your customer trust.
Primary function seems to be adverts
I downloaded it to track my General Investment Account. While I can get that info, most of the display is taken up with ads and invitations for other Aviva services. It’s really frustrating, as all the rubbish outweighs what you actually want to see.

This app is not fit for purpose, don’t bother with it.
Poor update
So with the recent update they have removed facial id biometrics well done as you also do t recognise passwords
Doesn’t work
I may be using IOS 16 and an IPhone 8 that work fine but the App doesn’t ! (Needs 17 and did previously work)
Biometrics
You’ve broken biometric login on latest version. Login details are requested on launch even though biometric login is configured
Seems to have stopped working
As it says on the tin. Not good!!
Does not work post upgrade
This app used to be great with real time info on pension, life assurance and other products but hasn’t work worked since a recent version change. My ID or log-in & passwords no longer recognised and not option to correct or report.
Slow and unresponsive
See title. App is rubbish. Service otherwise is ok.
