Spam spam spam within five minutes of signing up
I signed up for a Steller account and within five minutes of confirming my email account I was getting spam from them. By "spam" I mean entirely irrelevant information that I did not request, was not interested in, did not want, and that annoyed me. I deleted the app and blocked the sending email address. So, if you don't get enough irrelevant email, then you should get this app. Otherwise, don't.

I miss the old Steller
This app is a mess. Too much text, not enough visuals, not a clear focus on highlighting creators personal adventures, suggested posts/links have nothing to do with what you’re looking at, feels like there’s no one steering the ship over here. You would think that the clean, simple, former version of this social story telling app along with with the amount of other travel related apps out there to inspire Steller, they would be able to make it even remotely user friendly but no. Steller came up before IG Stories robbed the idea of swipeable storytelling and made it a smaller part of a bigger app. Steller 2014 was an app that was ahead of its time. Steller 2025 feels 20 years behind.
Bugs
It’s a really cool app but I can’t get the map to work and the link for the website for help just has an “error 404 not found”. It’s just blank and displays what I planned but I can’t actually see any of the roads or anything else.
Such a great travel app!
I love this app! But please give the option to mark the trip as complete so it goes to a separate section. It might also be better so list it horizontally rather than vertically since I have a bunch of trips saved!
Kinda useless app
Just lot of UGC, not much utility
Really need to be able to turn off sound
App is wonderful but I really need to be able to turn the sound off. I have the sound turned off on my phone most of the time so I’m not disturbing anyone else nearby. But the music plays on every story with no way to turn it off. Have to turn the volume all the way down, then hope I remember to turn it back up later. Really a miss in an otherwise great app and platform.
Why?
I'm So disappointed that this app was so much better and easy to share to download plus easy to make stories before/ back then. Now I'm confused again it's like the 3rd time changing your app. I can't share it on my social media etc. I'm very disappointed and sad about it.
DARK MODE PLZ
Love the app. Awesome. But please implement dark mode. It's better for the eyes.
Great for trip planning
Love being able to organize my upcoming trips and see tons of videos from places I’d like to add to my itinerary.
Limited Functionality
You can do more on google if you are looking for recommendations. In terms of creating an itinerary and having all of your info in one spot, this isn’t the app. You can only add what’s offered in the app for stay, meals, etc. you can’t add your own info (airbnb location for example) or navigation info. Stick to a shared apple note.
Beautiful place to share
Update: Since recent updates to app, Some of the best previous features are gone. It is not as easy to format and select styles, captions, and even to import photos. A wonderful medium for sharing stories - art, photography, recipes - easy to use. Highly recommend for creatives and appreciation.
Not optimised for iPad
I used to love this app and given its magazine style content, it would be perfect for the iPad. However, it was clearly built for a phone - my iPad just shows black around the iPhone shaped Home Screen which is irritating to look at and limits my enjoyment of the app.
Ok travel planner
I’m new to this app and there are some really great things to discover here. It’s great for inspiration, community, sharing travel ideas with your travel buddy, and discovery. But it’s lacking a practical side of being able to build even a loose itinerary with what you find to do. It has a nice UI and the AI assistant seems pretty good.

Very limiting and no support
I am not sure what everyone is raving about. This is basically Instagram stories in a different box. In fact the “story” I published doesn’t allow me to change the speed of the slides nor does is allow for people to swipe to the next slide. And if it does then shame on this app for making it so user unfriendly. I would have contacts support but apparently they offer none. I could not find any where to contact support . And I couldn’t even find any support docs. I expected more from all the reviews. I think I will stick with Instagram. This is not even close to what everyone is raving about.
Compact and intuitive
This is a neat app that allows you to build stories using images and text. It has forced me to think about content and to choose carefully.

Like the idea…
I like the idea of tracking travel locations but it seems to miss most cities so our multi city trip is hard to implement. I didn’t see it but having a map incorporated into the app for the visual reference would be nice. Thanks.
Elegant, intuitive, magical
Stellar has been a life-changing gift to me. Helping free my mind to play and turn my best dreams into magical little worlds between virtual covers. More intimate, somehow, than paper, these creations one touches to explore. It is as much fun falling into the realms of others as it is to make your own! Thank you dear creators of Steller, so obviously made with love and intelligence.
Can't use it
I created a stellar account years ago. Didn't use it much but I remember thinking it was cool. I came back to try after seeing an ad online that made it look different. But I can't login using my old login (fb) without it saying my email is already associated. I'm clicking login, not create account. So I guess it just isn't meant to be. Sad. I had high hopes.

Oh steller what’ve you done?
I was a really early adopter of Steller and I loved it. Sure there wasn’t a massive amount of editing variety available but that made it clean and easy to use. It’s a fantastic update apart from one thing — why on earth make it so you can only import one photo at a time?!?! This is so frustrating.
Minor bug with account creation using Twitter authorization
Hello. There is a bug with the current (11.2.1) version of the Stellar app for iOS. The app provides an option to use a Twitter/X login to create an account. If the user backs out (cancels out) of the Twitter authorization login, the user will is sent back to an unresponsive Stellar app. The app freezes until it is manually restarted or deleted and then re-downloaded. This is very odd, as I have never seem this happen with any other iOS app. Canceling out of the Twitter authorization prompt is usually the first thing I do. I have never seen an iOS freeze the way the Steller app does. My Twitter account of @RandomiOSBugs tagged the @StellerStories account online. Please investigate this issue, thanks. P.S. the Steller app’s Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions links are not working on the Twitter authorization page either.

I love Steller for finding travel recommendations and keeping up with friends travels. The new feature, Moments, makes it even easier to share things on the go! Great way to connect with fellow creators! Amazing app! 😍
Major problems
I’ve had major issues with this app from trying to create an account to trying to post my first post. It seems either something is wrong with their servers or with the app. The only way I have been able to get in was by using a VPN. Even then the functionality still isn’t there. Considering who built this app I find that very odd.

Too Many Changes ,
I used to love this app, I still do …. Except for the inability to create stories, with more than one page. The format was far better when first created . It was much easier to use. Maybe it’s just me , but the changes make it harder to compose stories that allow for multiple pages as it used to. Also . I was locked out of my original story page , for which support was never able to help , making it u organized and harder to create.

Ein weiteres Storytelling Tool
Ein weiteres Tool zum erzählen von Geschichten. Schwerpunktmäßig für bildbetonte Beiträge. Schöne Layouts, einfache Bedienung. Leider keine Editiermöglichkeit vom Desktop aus und Leider kein Zugriff auf Bilder, die nicht in der iOS Bildverwaltung liegen. Leider macht das Betrachten der Stories nur mit der App Spaß. Mit dem Browser ist es möglich, aber nur mit sehr kleiner Darstellung, d.h. wenn jemand meine Story lesen soll, muß er die App installieren: no way! Für jedes 'Leider' was in Zukunft wegfällt, gibt es einen Stern mehr.
Pretty good, but please get rid of auto advancing stories
This app was so great but I still can’t figure out why they had to make every page auto advancing. I’m having to pause every page and it makes the entire experience feel rushed. There are other apps for that. This should be for well told stories that deserve more than 2 seconds per page.

Love this app
I love this app, but is there anyway to pay for the service so there will no longer be a watermark on the page if I repost to other social media accounts? It ruins the clean layout of the page, and that is why I use this app in the first place.

I hate the Insta format, change it back!
When I first stumbled on this app, I was a love! A beautiful story book play this year short simple stories through photos and an economy of words would be ideal for sharing. Unfortunately, it has a ludicrous Instacrap format to it that you cannot control the speed in which to consume it. If I wanted IG, I would’ve just gone with the real thing, but since I am not 14, there’s no reason to go with it. Bring back the old storybook format!

Leider keine Anmeldung mit einer Email-Adresse möglich, sondern nur mit dem Twitter-Handle. Schade, so werde ich die App nicht benutzen. Wegen der wirklich schönen Gestaltung gibt es zwei Sterne statt einem.
Great app but can’t be viewed without app
Firstly, the 3 hours I spent making my first story was fun, easy and the final results beautiful. However, after sharing it with my friends I realised that unless you had the app, you couldn’t view it correctly. Whether on phone or computer, the text to the far right was cut off and the automatic slideshow was a complete pain, what if I want to slowly look through photos or read every word of text? On the app, this looks beautiful, but I want to share this with my friends on Facebook and not all of them are going to want to download the app just to see my adventures. Please can you fix these two issues? I would love to be able to use this app as my main story telling method for my world travels but not while these issues persist.
Fantastic app!
I used this when traveling solo through Japan and was able to discover some amazing hidden gems. Even when mapping out the known, iconic destinations, being able to have a map showing only what I want to see was a tremendous help! Highly recommend.
Upload failure and bad customer service
I really wanted to use and love this app.... I created a story but was unable to upload it I reached out to stellar via Twitter. Someone reached out to me and tried to help but then dropped off the face of the earth it’s been over a month and I’ve yet to hear from anyone. I’m close to deleting it at this point there’s just no point in having an app I can’t use. What’s worse your story doesn’t save on their sever so if I delete and reinstall the app I’ll loose my story ..... so wish I could have enjoyed it but oh well it is what it is
