Confusing for language learning
No matter what I did the voice read the text in an American pronunciation but I downloaded it to read German text. Why have voices for different languages if they don’t read them correctly. Incredibly frustrating.
Problems recently though
Love the app had it for a few years works perfectly up until last month. When it started freezing. Had to delete app and reload now it seems like it’s happening every couple days. If not sooner is the latest update the problem? Is there a resolution for this? Please fix the app Thank you.

Inconvenient to use
The app needs refinement regarding its UI settings and core functionality. Currently, you cannot copy text from the 'Starred' section. This is a major inconvenience because it prevents me from backing up or transferring important data before the app's auto-delete function triggers. Having to manually transcribe text that should be copyable is frustrating

I love this app but there are a few things I don’t like
So for one this is an awesome app but even if you pick out a good voice out of the few choices for some words it can sound very demonic, for another thing is yes there are adds but of course there are, also it can take a while to type out what you need to say. So if you need a temporary way to communicate it is a great app. I also love how it is so easy to use. Great app.
Reduced Usability
Was much better before text length limit was implemented. I can’t listen to a full article anymore, only a 2 or 3 paragraph excerpt.
Bugs
This app is so buggy but it’s the only fully free one out there so i don’t really care. It won’t let me put any of files in for it to read and it also crashes if I add too much text when typing or copy and pasting
A life saver
I have dysarthria and have extreme difficulty speaking. I was just texting my wife to communicate until I found this easy to use app. It is a life saver because I can now communicate.
5 stars must be fake
The in-app ads make this unusable and infuriating. A person who can’t speak doesn’t want or need an ad interrupting what could be a desperate need to communicate. My friend with PLS can barely use his hands in the first place, so just using the device is an obstacle already…this app is 100% useless as long as it has video ads that play while trying to use it.

Love how this app is free! I also like how simple it is. Definitely worth having.
Please fix the multiple bugs
When the app is in slide over view after a few seconds and I open it back up in the slide over view mode, the letters are misplaced so I have to exit slide over view and put it back. Also, the controls to change the text size doesn’t work.
Overall great.
Overall very helpful. I had vocal cord surgery and cannot speak for 1 week, only 5 mins per hour the next week. The only bad thing is that the ads. It’s challenging enough to not be able to speak even a whisper, laugh, cough, etc. But then you have to wait for an ad. That’s very annoying. For someone who can’t speak ever, that’s just unacceptable. I will be able to speak eventually, but for someone who has a true disability and cannot speak, they should not have to pay to not be interrupted. It’s not easy to text fast enough to keep up with normal conversations and nobody should have to wait for a stupid ad to participate in conversations. By the time the ad is done, the conversation topic has switched and what you wanted to say is irrelevant.

freezes
it was a good app for a moment but after a while it would continuously freeze on me & would take too long to start working again. for example every time i opened the app it would freeze after i click just one button! i even tired deleting then reinstalling it yet it wouldn’t make a difference :/
Perfect!
I lost my voice temporarily a while ago due to sickness. This was key to communicating with family and doctors. Absolutely genius, and ads are not as intrusive as other apps. Thank you, it’s perfect.
App gets stuck after a minute
The app is unresponsive after doing anything pasting a text, clicking options or even checking favorites. I reinstalled it multiple times but the problem persists
Voices missing after iOS update
I have used this app for years and have greatly enjoyed it. But ever since I updated my iOS, it seems to have lost the only voice I consistently used. I tried to email this app’s support, but it doesn’t look like the email address they provided is functional.
one big problem
decent app does exactly what it says, would be perfect except one big issue that ruins the whole app for me and i’m sure others, it absolutely needs a ‘reset voice to default’ feature or something similar… it’s my own fault i messed with the pitch and speed too much but now every single voice sounds absolutely freaked lmao… because of this the app is relatively unusable because all the voices are absolutely unlistenable….. like i said otherwise could be perfect!!

The app itself is very simple with no clunky UI. It’s very reliable, but has a lot of bugs and glitches out sometimes. If those little problems can be fixed, I’d give it a five star.

I got this app today to have some fun but it’s been bombarding me either add I don’t recommend download unless you have a lot of patience and after that I bid thee farewell
Powerful because it’s simple
I titled my review powerful because it’s simple as an absolute compliment. By simple I mean it’s easy to use. The interface is clean and clear and I can listen to the very long emails and newsletters that I received from my students and my professional organizations… Things that normally take me forever to get through there’s so many coming at me all the time, but with this wonderfully easy to use app – I’m able to get through an incredible amount of information, expeditiously, and efficiently.

Its good but if you are British like me and it doesn't need an update٫ and you like writing songs out because I like writing songs with Korean٫ but the text to speech people skip it so what should I do? I've tried everything nothing worked but anyway its pretty good highly recommended for song writers

I used to love this app for my video editing but now when I try to import a audio now it is just very loud white noise? I downloaded the IOS 17 update so maybe that’s the reason but it isn’t working anymore :/

I was at a BTS concert and I screamed SO LOUD, I lost my voice. And I have an upcoming performance and I’m the LEAD ROLE!!! I couldn’t talk, sing, yell, or even WHISPER! I was sad. I can’t not talk! Especially not me. I talk ALL THE TIME! IM A YAPATRON! So I didn’t know what to do. I asked Google, “I lost my voice and can’t talk. Is there a way I can?” It told me to download Text to Speech. I had no idea what that was, so I went on App Store and I got it! It is so nice! I love it! I DEFIANTLY recommend this app if your going through something that I am!
Unusable due to freezing
No idea if the app itself is any good because it freezes 5 seconds after it is opened and I have to force close it.
