compatibility
i love this app, but i’m using it on my ipad and the app doesn’t even fill my screen, please add proper ipad support. besides that i love it. can you make support for landscape mode too because a lot of people use their ipad that way.
I love this app, but needs improvement
Playing a new song shouldn't clear the queue. Wth Update: PLEASE DON’T TELL ME PLAYLISTS ARE DEVICE DEPENDENT!!! CAN’T FIND A PLAYLIST CREATED ON MY OTHER iPhone ON THIS IPHONE!
--
I wish they'd add a dark mode.
Frustrating
I can’t find my purchases on the phone app. I created my account on my iPad and I can find my purchase on the browser/web page, but there is no option on the actual app for seeing my stuff. Also when you click on the app support it just throws you into the same morass of albums they want to sell you and not to actual help. I found a help page and it didn’t give me my answer because it’s only pre set up FAQs.
DARK MODE PLEASE!
I’m glad I can support bands I like. I would love to have a dark mode for this app.
No better experience than this!
I have been on and off band camp for a while but I've haven't stopped enjoying its platform. There's always something new to discover and you will most certainly be surprised by what you come across, hundreds of talented musicians from all over the country. If there's and artist you happen to listen to, you need to purchase the tracks to jump back in on repeat, the artist receives majority of the portion and you can also dig into their collection of merchandise. If you don't know where to find music, you can also tune into Bandcamp's radio music catalog, you just have to explore the app for a minute. As of right now, this is my go to app for music much blessings to everyone
Cannot Change Shipping Address
I subscribe to a label on Bandcamp which sends me records quarterly… from the UK. I’ve moved since I signed up. There is nowhere in Bandcamp’s app or website to change one’s shipping address. The FAQ refers to a section of the website which simply doesn’t exist. Lesson: don’t sign up for a subscription, or don’t plan on a relocation once you do sign up.
🤨
Please please please for sakes add a dark mode it's nearly 2027
No dark mode
I love bandcamp. You let me take back my ownership rights. But at 3am you burn out my eyeballs with a 1600nits amoled display. Everybody else respects system wide dark themes but you. Bandcamp is great and you should be a customer during daylight hours
Volume control issues
If I am streaming from the app, the volume often changes when I do not even have the app visible or sometimes even when I am not touching the phone. I think that it has something to do with being able to control the volume using the hidden swipe gesture on the app's album art screen combined with there possibly being some iOS bug with that feature that allows that to happen even when the album art screen is not visible. It is driving me crazy. I just go to scroll something or just swipe up on my phone and it cranks up the volume on Bandcamp. It makes the app almost unusable. Also, the help page for the app does not exist.
WE NEED DARK MODE PLEASSEEEEENPLEASEEEEE PLEASEEEEEE
I love this app but I HATEEEEEE BEING BLINDED LATE AT NIGHTT PLZZZZ AD DARK MODE IM BEGGING🙏 😭
Urgent bug fix needed.
Urgent: Every time i have unfollowed an artist… the next time i open Bandcamp i am following that artist again. i keep notified about artists i don’t care about. i’ve tried signing out, deleting the app, reinstalling, logging back in and checking. and it is still happening! super frustrating bug. PLEASE FIX THIS! ——— please bring dark mode! we have all requested this for years and it never happens. no one wants to be blinded using Bandcamp. It’s been years of dark mode usage on practically every other app, but you refuse to give us options. it is nearing 2027. modernize your app, please. for the sake of accessibility.
Well…hands down blowout!!!
Keygen Church…wow… best computer gen ever !!! Love the organ mystique… first time listener… Future listener
lazy development
Obviously, the app itself doesn't reflect the quality of music you can find. That is and always will be great because of the artists. The app itself, however, is just ok and oftentimes outright annoying. It's taken over a decade to finally get to a point where you can buy music on the mobile app. Thankfully that was changed. But still, tapping a bandcamp link, within an artists post for example, will not open within the app, but instead in Safari. Maybe this is so you don't loose your place in the article, but it's cumbersome nonetheless. Have an issue with a purchase and didn't receive merch? Well bandcamp is going to make you do the work to sort things out and message the artist yourself, but you can't do that on the app. You instead have to move over to the desktop version just to get this done. Instead of fixing basic quality issues such as these, we got a playlist and queue option. I guess this was inevitable and perhaps useful to some users, but it feels a bit out of touch. Almost like a ploy to appeal to people who are moving over from Spotify or Apple music. One final note: I can't tell you how many times I've tried to search for something, checking and double checking my spelling, only to be met with "no artist found" or a bunch of extraneous results. Then by some mix of magic and mystery, I find what I'm looking for, but that required searching the label, a song, or just following a link from some other place like instagram / link-tree. But of course, that link doesn't open in the app either, nor is there an option to do so from Safari.
Difficulty making an account
Every time I try to make an account I just get a message that says, "Network error 429." What's happening?
personal ≠ personalized 🫶
I LOVELOVELOVE the way that the "your feed" section isn't based on a weird, AI-curated algorithm of music the app THINKS I will like, and instead is made up of artists and genres that I actually CHOOSE to follow. And the anti-Ai-scraping part of the terms and agreements is just the cherry on top of a huge pile of cherries. I hope the Bandcamp developers are proud of what they've made, because it's genuinely so refreshing to have a music platform that actually supports artists and an authentic listening experience. THANK YOUUU
Sign up bug
Sign up for new account in app takes me through a loop where I need email confirmation, and when I go to confirm via email I need to be logged in
Why cant i view free download albums on the app
Love the app and the accessibility and simplicity of it, but albums that are "free downloads" don't show up on the app even though they have been released. They show up on the website just not the app and its a lil frustrating and idk why free downloads wont show up on the app but other than that i love bandcamp
Bc
Fails to work like it used to, always an intermittent malfunction to the app that disrupts workflow resulting in being frequently kicked out of the app
Dark mode.
Great app overall. But it desperately Needs a dark mode.
I love It
No issues with it my favorite band Is Japandroids go check em out and buy the house that heaven built
No Darkmode
It’s 2026, WTF! Add Darkmode!
finally, music
only downside is that you can't add anything marked as "free digital download" to your library. i assume it's that way because of finances but why not just make it so that you have to have to have the songs locally in order to listen over the streaming cap
Hard to use app
How in the world does one find the artists we follow? App shows on the search page that I’m following Guthrie Trapp, but his two new tracks are no where on my favorites page?!
Not sure…
… why such a great service would have such a mediocre app. Maybe it’s the Apple of it all; the Android version is a whole heck of a lot better.
Buy music!!
Buying music has never felt so liberating.
REMOVED ARTIST I BOUGHT SONG FROM
Took app staff 3 days to get back to me. Offered no explanation for why they removed artist content and refunded my donation ti the artist. The people running bandcamp are censoring and are cowards!
Good but…
Is missing the hidden albums feature on the app
Good idea but poorly executed
I want to like this app so much but the user experience just sucks. You guys have a significant userbase and should be paying more attention to this stuff, step it up plz
Please enable automatic app opening of BC links!
Bandcamp as a website/organization itself is a 5/5 due to being among the best at how artists are treated (AFAIK). However, this app itself leaves a lot to be desired as it too often requires manually refinding artists/albums rather than seamlessly opening the app from the website, as well as links in messages opening back in the browser instead of in-app.
literally the best app I have ever used
I love bandcamp
Lacks Flow, Annoying Use
This app is really annoying to use! I’ve used Bandcamp forever, but I hate this app. Why does it take 3 steps to add something to a playlist? Why does it just stop playing after you play a song? It lacks any flow to listen to the music you’ve just purchased. I have hundreds of songs, it’s so time consuming to create new playlists or listen to all the new songs I just bought. I don’t like the shuffle feature to get around this because it seems to shuffle all the old songs in my collection first. Just autoplay from where you start! Shouldn’t be hard? I also don’t like how albums are hidden in a sense until you click on them, but not truly annoying like the other two high friction points. These couple issues are the barrier to a truly terrific app. PLEASE CHANGE IT!
Simple
Loses a star for still not having a dark mode in 2026
My problem
Very silly to have two pages, a “fan page” and “artist page.” Also the app feels like it’s from the 90’s. I cannot ever log in, & this is going on for years: “Error” messages? Is this vintage Microsoft?! This is absolutely bizarre. I cannot “follow” artists because of this issue. Is it so difficult to make this ubiquitous product modern and user friendly??? Finally, I recall years ago you couldn’t AutoPlay your collection. I had to sit there and manually play an entire collection I purchased. I wouldn’t be surprised if this hasn’t been fixed.
Search isn’t functional
there is content that does not show up when you search for it in app, which requires me to google around, and then sign into my account on desktop.
The BEST
The only music app I use
Search function is terrible
Lesser known artists can be unfindable on search. Please update so exact matches actually show up when you search.
Can’t Sign up
Idk why I can’t sigh up, it always tell me Network error 429
Love Bandcamp, app needs work
I love Bandcamp and I support music and musicians. But this app needs work, and has done for years. Users should be able to list their purchases how they want. New purchases drop and are just added, so discographies are all over the place - not chronological. Artists are filed by the first letter too. On the desktop site this is possible, but let’s be honest, most folk use phones these days. No option to remove purchases on the app either. And no dark mode. Fixing these issues would see me spending a lot more money on music from Bandcamp.
Great service, bad library
As a music app it’s pretty bad. It just sprawls all your purchased music on a single page and doesn’t have any sort of library function like iTunes or Spotify would. Very difficult to use on the phone, worse in the car
Love Jordan Rainer!
Love Jordan Rainer!
Mobile
To still not be able to upload through mobile is unbelievable to me
Fair play fair pay
I started using Bank camp because I heard hail was not paying artist fairly so I am subscribe from Spotify so save me money now I use Bandcamp and I’m finding new artists bye playing Bandcamp suggestions and also finding old artists or older artist that are still in the game and paying them some money didn’t seem like a lot But it is I hear going to the people who need it
Could be so much better
With Spotify cancelled, I would really like to immerse myself in everything bandcamp, but I have not been able to use this app nearly as much as I would like to as find it so un-intuitive. I am happy to pay for music - so why make it so difficult? Please get some new development aims going, or someone with new ideas. An ethical premise like this could soar right now with the right minds involved. Big flaws include: • Option for buying a digital album is available via bandcamp on internet browser, but on the app it says “not available to purchase on this device”. • I can’t see a simple way to play or ‘shuffle’ the tunes I have purchased. • Bandcamp radio is an interesting selection but does not populate often and does not offer music in line with my purchases or tastes. • The interface lacks personalisation. Finding the music I ‘follow’ is not as easy as it could be. • Very unclear on first glance how one would make a playlist? I support bandcamp, I am an artist with music on bandcamp. This interface is not nearly strong enough at a time when we musicians desperately NEED a strong platform to share our work.
Error 429
I love Bandcamp but every time I’ve tried to get on it lately I get an “error 429”and can’t browse or play music.
Love Bandcamp, the player needs work.
I have been with bandcamp for a long time and I appreciate the slow but steady improvements to the player. I understand why rolling out public playlists is a good way to share outside of bandcamp, but I was hoping we could have seamless album playblack in app and maybe a shuffle button at the top of playlists. Those small features would elevate the app from "indie music sales platform" to something that could start to pull people away from the big streamers.
Good app, but….
- Chromecast is unstable and continuously disconnects. - purchases are….
Update to 3.1.4
I don’t know if it was intentional but when you upgrade to 3.1.4 it automatically logs you out😡 How many people can remember their password 🤔 Once signed back in it took a bit of time to get a loaded playlist running again. It showed that it was still playing💁♂️ Otherwise the app would get 5 stars. I now prefer to get all my music via the app rather than CD. Lossless digital downloads is the clincher.
Cart issues
Not sure if anyone else is having this problem but I search for music via the app on my phone adding stuff to the cart. Later on I log into my account on a browser to download said search for tracks - only problem is - they’re not there. I’m having to go back to phone browser or app to find a separate cart with items in. Very frustrating and time consuming.
Fix your links
I click on a link to purchase an album and it takes me to the web version. I go back to the app and lookup the album manually and click on the cd to purchase and my choice disappears. I go back to the top menu and choose purchases and the cart appears at the top. I click on the cart to see my purchase and it takes me to the artist/album page. No clue where I’m suppose to complete my purchase. I bought it on Amazon instead. Fix your links.
