What people like
- Huge library of tabs for many instruments
- Great for learning songs completely on your own
- Clean interface that is easy to navigate
What they complain about
- Most tabs are generated by AI and wrong
- Paywall blocks basic features like slowing down songs
- Constant popups beg you to buy the subscription
- Syncing between notes and audio is often broken
Perfect app
Perfect learning app
Eh
It was fine the ads are annoying so in return of them being annoying they get the one star review. Warning I will do this again. Make the ads go away:(
Cool app
Cool app , to bad it costs money to play with real songs rather then tones . But gets the job done for free
Plus
I hate how you need plus for basically everything.
Not the best
This app used to be very useful however they’ve overcomplicated it with an awful UI and you’re now required to pay for simple features. It’s definitely still possible to learn songs on it but I imagine there’s better apps. It’s a shame
so great
perfect tabs
Lil bro cut me off
The song I’ve been learning for 2 weeks now, I thought the ending was where it says it is on the app, but no, the app cuts the guitar halfway. I’m supposed to perform this Monday. It’s Saturday night. Lil dummies
Review
Great App! Delete the AI parts
No just no
Im glad that it contains over 1 million songs but they don’t really help they dont have the simplified version of anything only on Google Songsterr and also I asked the ai assistant for help and after about 2 questions its said i reached my limit they are really just tryna suck money they limit the speed too like im tryna play a song at ow speed cuz im just getting used to it and it says i need to buy membership like what the heck. Anyways its a no
Synching
Not sure if it’s my end or yours, I’m thinking yours, but a great many tabs won’t synch and/or stay synched with the actual music playing, while there are very few that do.
Love the app
I love it. So many songs are here even Spanish ones. With the monthly subscription, this is amazing
Not worth your time or money
I was really excited to use Songsterr at first because it had songs that are hard to find on other apps but all the tabs are ai generated and wrong most of the time. No reset feature and the interface is NOT WORTH $9.99 A MONTH. SAVE YOUR TIME AND YOUR MONEY BOOOOO AI
Amazing app!!
Everything about it is GREAT, except for the ai helper, it keeps glitching and says there is no connection and does not let me use it. The last thing is if i wanted to transpose the song, i am not able to see what key it is in and i have to use the difficult way to figure out what key it is in, so if yall could put what key it’s in i would have zero complaints 10/10
You’re not having my bloody money
It’s a decent app if you ignore the ai getting things blatantly wrong. Every couple seconds the app tries to force me to pay for plus. Why should I have to give you money just to play along to my favourite songs??? Heaven forbid a person just wants to learn songs on their bass 💔
Good but I don’t want the AI
I’ve always appreciated Songsterr, it was always my go to tablature source. The app functions really well for what you need. However, my biggest complaint now is the AI use for tab making, especially for smaller bands tabs. I understand that it’s harder for the niche smaller bands to get the following behind them to make a good tab, but the AI use made tabs are blatantly obvious. The way the same riff will be written differently measure to measure is just an instant turn away. I would love a feature that filter out the songs that have unpolished AI usage to create them.
Song
I love you
Laughable
This service is terrible! You cannot Isolate instruments or volume levels. Ultimate guitar light years ahead
Good app BUT!
So this app is really good but, it honestly really pisses me off when I’m trying to play a song and it says I need plus or use Synth to have no disruptions. I’m trying to play a song that I love and in the middle of no where, boom..
Dont read old reviews, ruined by ai
Looking at any review pre 2024 i can imagine this app was pretty good but genuinely every song i tried to learn with this app that is either apparently not popular enough to get a human to do it is done by ai, which i find crazy because the exact songs im looking for are done perfectly fine on every other app ive tried The sounds were just blatantly wrong, you could play it to a random person whose never even heard the song your trying to play before and they could still be able to tell it sounded weird Its a shame because the app's interface is actually really nice (if you get over the 1 million and 1 paid for features that they guilt you into wanting by saying "beginners learn __% faster with this", but thats a whole other issue Im sure its fine for the most popular songs but if you are trying to learn anything that hasnt been a top 40 hit in the last 10 years you are much better off elsewhere
Subscription for Tempo
That’s greed in its purest form. Tempo control is so fundamental to musicians and the fact that you guys have paywalled it is ridiculous. It’s not even a one time purchase, you want me to pay $10 dollars monthly to control the tempo on a song. Read it aloud. “We want you guys to pay $10 per month to modify the tempo on a song.” Do you not recoil in disgust?
Really helpful
There are so many songs you can learn
But WHY???
I swear. Im trying to learn a song on here but every 10 seconds this stupid thing pops up begging for me to buy plus!
Good and free
Some important features paywalled which would be fine for a one time fee but it’s a subscription so for that I have to dock a star
Websites good app sucks
I love the website but the app just continually crashes doesn’t load the music and has insane amounts of ads just use the web version it’s so much better
Elden young
Make so many tabs for songs I am writing so cool
Goat
Kudos songsterr, don’t know where I’d be without you 🥹✌🏾
Dumped my subscrition
Still good till the 3rd and always renewed. Now nothing
Zacharoonie2014’s review
Great app, not many glitches and encourages you to get plus well a bit too much but good app would recommend!!!
Still decent
This used to be a great place to learn songs from but that was years ago now even free features have become unacceptable unless you pay. It’s become just a major cash grab with zero concern for the players sadly I wish the songster from several years ago would come back. -and even the updates they done over time suck

Good
Good
Very inaccurate
Have been drumming for about two years now and thought this might be a good app, I don’t mind the adds but quite literally half the music is not what is in the song and I found out it does AI transcriptions a lot. Some of the drumset sheet music genuinely isint even an actual piece of music. It just different dots on top of eachother on the same line. Don’t recommend it’s just annoying.
Could be better
Brilliant but would be better if I could slow it down without paying but otherwise brilliant
Good app but too many features you need to pay for
I just want to learn a song on my bass guitar but i need to pay if i want it slower which will help a ton. Its a good app but i don't want to pay to learn quicker.
Out of sync
So I’ve been using this app on and off for a very long time. You guys need to update the app because that little green bar that goes over the tabs is out of sync with the song. It’ll either be a little behind or a little forward. I even tried to delete the app and reinstall, but it still has the same problem. If I’m going to pay $10 a month, mostly just to not have to deal with ads, at least get the app synced correctly. Otherwise, I don’t have any other complaints.
The place to go to for tabs
This site has it all. It’s so helpful to be able to centrally locate tabs when needed and this place pretty much has them all.
Pop ups
Pop ups stop me seeing
Amazing! Though,
I just started to use electric bass guitar and I thought this app will teach me but the ai assistant should give you a pic so you know what to do, other than that, it’s a great app with pretty much every song pls make good update for my request!
Is your charting staff deaf?
Most of the tabs are somewhat if not completely wrong. Most of the time I just have to go off of ear and learn it the hard way which this app is “supposed to help avoid”. Please tell the people who chart songs to not be idiots. Thank you
Use to be better
Since they started using AI to do the tabs the songs are not accurate. Some are not even close. It’s missing notes that are very clearly missing, I used Songsterr for a long time and recommended it to everyone, now I barely use it.
Amazing App - Just One Request
Amazing to help visualize your music and has been an integral part of my guitar journey and I wouldn’t be at the level I am currently without it. Not only is there guitar tabs but tabs for all other instruments and vocals within a song. All the relatively popular songs and artists will have very accurate tabs and tabs which aren’t accurate are often updated regularly. Overall an amazing app but one quality of life feature I would love to potentially see created in the future is the ability to create folders or organize your favorite songs. While many of the songs are alphabetized based on the artist, once you save or learn or plan to learn a lot of songs it becomes crowded and harder to navigate. Anyways this is just a request to make an already great app even better.
Why?
It didn’t teach me anything in a 1 year
Hehlbsbskabdb
Great but there isn’t any musicals………
Search doesn’t work anymore
The search feature is now broken. It search’s for individual words without showing any preference to matching the entire sentence above individual words
Adds and incorrect chords
This app is great overall I do wish there were less ads and that the line and notes were in time with the song playing. Also, I think there were some incorrect chords. This app is good and I use it for everything I do playing bass.
Peak as hell
I learned whole songs by myself FOR FREE!!
Absolutely horrible
I am just trying to play my music and they keep ask for Plus like I DONT WANT IT JUST STOP ALREADY IM TRYING TO PLAY MUSIC
Nick drake Beatles Led Zep
Why do some tracks have band members names and other don’t Do you use the original stem files off the original tracks because until you bring in the you tube link some of my favourite songs are not very good I think this is the best software I have found so far but the Ai component needs more work and the orchestration needs to be improved on Nick drakes tracks which is what makes his work as good as George Martin and Beatles Can you bring up multiple screens with words and music in the subscribed version And can you mirror on Apple comparable Tv Is the plans for importing stem files for your fav songs from garage band etc
Adds and pay walls
Best features locked behind pay wall
Needs playlists
App is solid but it really needs playlist support from the web version. I have folders of playlists but can’t access them when away from home.
