Not for IPhone
Functionally unusable on iPhone. I cannot get it to work in anything other than the first app I set up messenger. I verified my settings, but can not reliably get it to work.

Seems limited
As best I can tell, this only works on certain apps. The rest of the time - including what I’m writing right now - do you have to fall back to the default keyboard.
NOT on an iPad iPadOS.

Besser geht es nicht
Ganz ehrlich – die Erkennung der App ist tatsächlich außerordentlich gut! Sie spielt quasi in einem anderen Universum verglichen mit der Systemweiten Spracherkennung des Telefons. ABER LEIDER hat A. es geschafft mit dem letzten System Update den direkten Zugriff auf das Mikrofon der zur Tastatur gehörenden App zu verbieten. So hat es nun der Gerätehersteller geschafft die Nutzung einer extrem guten Spracherkennung über die Tastatur zu unterbinden.
Very good, but no hot language switch for keyboard
I honestly find it better than any competitors and I tried them all but the biggest dealbreaker here is that I can switch keyboard language only in the settings of the app itself which basically means that the keyboard part of the app is unusable for me because I switch between two languages all the time. I can only dictate with it but for any corrections or a quick typing I have to use the default iOS keyboard, and this is very inconvenient.

Great application. I use it at work. It helps a lot. Very accurate. Very practical. It's amazing, really.
Misleading
Company claims unlimited dictation but there’s actually a weekly word limit. They aren’t responsive to support. Shady stuff. Wonder what they’re doing with my data.
Best Dictation Tool By Far
IOS all is a little clunky but the technology is ahead of anything else out there right now.
App needs polish
I just want to start off by saying that I love Willow Voice. Their Mac app is not Electron, meaning that when I use my external display, there is absolutely zero delay! I find the accuracy to be incredible! However, on iOS, I notice a fair amount of issues. 1. When I switch between the Willow keyboard and the iOS keyboard, after a few minutes, the haptic feedback that I have enabled on my iOS keyboard will go away, and I will have to force kill the Willow app to get it back. This is incredibly annoying. 2. The little animation that indicates that voice input is being received occasionally freezes and hangs up. 3. When I am using Termius to remotely access my terminals, the Willow keyboard is a different size than the iOS keyboard, which messes with the terminal redraw a good bit as well. If some of these minor issues were polished, this would be the perfect dictation app on iOS by far!

Disappointed
Definitely did not work for me. Talks to text is just as good. The worst part is you never get to speak to anyone everything is AI drives me crazy wish I hadn’t bought it.
Great app but needs improvement
I use it a lot for making notes despite its flaws because of the convenience it offers. Pros It is free to use which makes it great for students We can literally whisper and it works making it great for library Has a full keyboard and number row, making it quick to edit things even if the voice detection was wrong. Cons Stutters a lot and there’s a lot of delay for it open (not the voice recognition) On iPad it doesn’t seem to have the gesture to go into floating mode The last row feels a bit cluttered with emoji, language, etc keys Missing features compared to native keyboard Glide typing A clipboard with history function would be great
Inadequate help available
The app for iOS is nonfunctional and I have a premium subscription and I am signing in with the same credentials. I have tried all Help methods available and suggestions, including resetting the password deleting rebooting you name it, but have no method of contacting them. For support. Unacceptable.
Good news bad news
Well, a voice does a pretty extraordinary job accurately taking dictation for exceeds the ability of the built-in Apple voice to text. That said the implementation and app are both little on a clunky. When you activate it, it switches to the Willow Voice spirit, which you then have to slide back to where you were trying to dictate. Unfortunately, it always goes directly back to messages, even when you're trying to dictate in other places. It's caused me to send some pretty unusual texts to people. Secondly, the iPadOS version seems to be deeply flawed and at the moment won't even activate. Even after flipping the toggle, there is no hotkey for the Magic Keyboard, which makes it very difficult. Activating it generally means you have to remove the iPad from the keyboard. Again, the voice recognition tech is outstanding. The use in the real world is flawed and needs significant improvement.
The best software ever.
This is the first software that I've used like this that actually works. This is awesome. And I can't believe that it's free.
It has access to everything
Found out you give this access to everything you have previously typed including addresses phone numbers and credit card passwords and bank information

I love this software. It’s incredibly helpful and accurately understands my speech. I appreciate how it can correct or enhance my grammar. My only frustration is the monthly usage limit—I suspect it’s because I’m not a subscriber. Other than that, it’s a wonderful program. It should be available to everyone with an Apple device, and ideally included in Apple’s product packages.
I had high hopes for this app.
This review is for the iPhone version. The app is easy to set up, and there is even a wizard to guide you through the process, including granting access to your microphone. However, to use the keyboard, one must follow three steps EVERY SINGLE TIME for any app you want to use. I tested it in iMessage, Word, and Gmail. [1] Open your app, and the Willow keyboard appears so you can start dictating. [2] In the center of the Willow keyboard, it says “activate.” [3] When you press “activate,” you are switched to the native Willow app, where a screen pops up saying, “Swipe back to continue. We’d love for you to use Willow directly, but Apple requires switching apps in order to enable the microphone.” I would have been okay with doing this once for each app, but this process must be repeated EVERY SINGLE TIME to use the Willow keyboard. How on earth is this time-saving? I am baffled. If I’m missing something, please clarify.

So buggy it's almost unusable.
This app has so much potential and yet is one of the buggiest and least usable pieces of software I've ever used. From the janky activation process to the keyboard that requires you to wait between taps in the event that you can't do a dictation to super low latency response. this is an almost unusable app that clearly should just have its capabilities built into the iOS operating system.
I love how it breaks up my long transcriptions.
I left willow for another app & after a week I came right back. Willow does a much better job of surfacing large blocks of text & transcribing each thought. I did run into some bugs before but Ik the team is working on it and I’m excited to see their progress.
Too slow
Functionally, it's just too slow having to swipe across and back every time you want to type something, and you lose Apple keyboard functionality like autocomplete. Just doesn't work well at all
So convenient
I’ve just been using this app for two days and I absolutely love it. Just one stuff, I hope willow is able to detect whatever language I speak at the iPhone end just like Mac. The auto correct is also kinda tricky when I type into the willow keyboard. But overall great app!
No feedback
The quality of the dictation does appear to be better than Siri, although you appear not to be able to enter basic instructions like "new paragraph." In that respect, it is worse than WhisperFlow app, which I also have. The main criticism is that while you are dictating, you get no visual feedback, so you are talking blind and have no idea how it's going to come out. This is nowhere near as useful or productive as Siri dictation. I really don't understand why neither Willow or Whipr provide no interactive visual feedback while talking. It doesn't seem to be that difficult a technical challenge. Other AI-based dictation software such as Siri, ChatGPT, or Gemini do provide interactive feedback. I dictated the above paragraph and it made about three or four quite basic errors. I had to manually edit the text to fix those errors. So overall, just two stars. Potential if they've just improved the basics. (And it made 2 more mistakes in the last para, it missed out the words ‘It would have so much…”). Poor.
Life changer
I use my left for everything. It's really hard for me to type anymore. In some ways, I feel like I've regressed as a human, but I have sped up as I have sublimated into AI and have approached closer and closer to being plugged into the matrix. You should probably use this app too, but be careful.
Beyond useless
When I started using this app, it was actually pretty solid and I was impressed with the accuracy of the transcription. Unfortunately, overtime, it has become absolutely useless. While the interface on the iPhone is a model of inefficiency requiring you to do click galore only so that I can bring up a keyboard that makes it impossible to actually type the Mac application is probably even worse. It constantly has middleware failure issues. It keeps asking me to transcribe long passages that I was relying upon it to actually capture. And it crashes constantly despite frequent updates. I have a hard time understanding how people could rate it so well, except of course that they’re likely friends of the developers and paid endorsements. This is easily the most disappointing app. I’ve used in a long time. Especially because it makes me lose valuable information that I can’t get back. I asked for a refund on my annual contract and the company has refused and just said go ahead and keep the service for the rest of the year as if that were somehow a consolation. I’d recommend avoiding this one at all cost.
Almost perfect
It's an almost perfect app. On my desktop, it's literal perfection. It's probably the best app I've bought of the year. On iPhone, the keyboard is a bit glitchy, so it would be great to see some improvement, which is why I gave it four stars. Overall, it's the best voice dictation app probably ever made.
Surprised
I was totally blown away with all the features that was given in this app it’s made things very easy for me. Was not hard to learn how to use it. Very simple very professional looking forward to using it more. I invite everyone to give it a chance it really works..
Poor typing experience
The keyboard is incredibly buggy. Every time you try to type things, if you try to type things in the middle of the sentence, it really doesn't let you do very well. It kind of glitches out. You are better off not using the Willow Voice keyboard. Additionally, the "Speak" button and the "Auto Suggest" button keep popping up one after another. When you want to type on "Speak," sometimes you accidentally type the auto-suggested items and vice versa. It's a terrible experience.
So far, im really liking it and the possibilities
I’m using this on my laptop to see if it helps me easily dictate my assignments. I am dyslexic and have dysgraphia and so really struggle to get my meaning on paper without losing some of the authenticity and spending way too much time formatting and fixing grammar. I’m really hoping this will be a game changer. The only reason I didn’t get five it’s because on the Mobile app even though I’m logged into the Willow app when I try and use the keyboard in other applications a pop-up says the Apple requires me to switch applications and then have to go back again. This is for me and unnecessary extra step which reduces the efficient flow that this app could be helping me with.
Life-changing - Talk like a regular person into all devices.
For about 20 years, I've been waiting for this technology to exist. I've bought various software solutions, special microphones, learned the special commands, etc., but the overhead was never worth the output. Willow Voice is the ultimate. It lets you pause to formulate your thoughts and keeps your output as you intended. It allows typed corrections, so if you have any strange or difficult to pronounce words in your everyday vocabulary, they will always be spelled properly. Honestly, it just makes everything else better and faster. That's all I can say.
Non-existent customer support
I first downloaded the free version on the the App Store. I asked for a discount based on my volunteer work at a non-profit. It was granted. I was advised I would have to download the MacOS version on their home page to obtain the 30% discount and the iOS and MacOS versions would all sinc. I ordered the MacOS version, paid for it (there was no place to add the discount code) but it worked on my Mac. However, the iOS version did not change from the free to the Pro version. I wrote to the support email but as yet it has not been sorted out. Willow voice is a decent enough application but the support the app provides is very poor. I’d think twice about purchasing it. I’m frustrated and dissapointed at their customer support.
