What people like
- Fun leveling up and gamification
- Clean and fast interface
- Great for tracking ride progress
What they complain about
- Missing too many local trails
- Navigation costs extra money
- Jump tracking is often wrong
- Hard to sign up for free
Good job
Great app. i ride on a yozma in10 and it fits great for mileage, speed, time, and it’s super fun to level up. great app!
Pretty lame
I found this app to be pretty darn lame! Half of the trails that I ride in my area, which are all on Trailforks, aren’t even recognized in this app. Not worth the money!
Good just doesn’t have enough free features
Ik that y’all need a subscription option so you can make money, but I don’t think you need to restrict pretty much the entire app unless you have a subscription, also the airtime feature is really cool but it usually doesn’t track most of your jumps, I hit a set of jumps for 30mins straight and it only said I hit one jump. Great App! But pls allow more free features
Paywall
The app seems good enough but everything is stuck behind a paywall including looking at trails
Make it more free. Why do i have to pay to get directions to a trail thats near me!
Good app but why do I need to pay to get directions to the trail its dumb i wanted this so i could find trails near me but i cant do that without paying please make it better for free users like make it free to get directions to a trail near them or other things you would download this app for and then if you want to make something that you would have to pay for it would show where other people are by using a system like the Find My app in Iphone so if they have a Iphone you could see where they are so you dont crash into them or wait till there done with their run overall Please make it more free user
AMAZING APP
I love getting to save my rides! It’s a great app especially since i’ve moved to a new area! 10/10 recommend!
paywall
no matter what I try, I can’t get past the paywall of the free trial
keine navigation
die navigation kostet geld
Nice app, missing a lot
Nice app to work with but I don’t understand what you’re getting over Strava or MTBproject. It’s missing a lot trails that aren’t exactly new. The ride creation feature is pretty frustrating. The routing doesn’t prioritize trail and sends the rider all over the place. It’s not buggy by any means, there’s just a lot to be worked out to make this a meaningful trail and ride recording app.
Amazing BUT
Ive noticed that at my local bike park, chicksands which has many trails, non of them are on the map! I would add them but you have to have premium to add trails! Its so odd that to put down trails you have to pay! If it wasnt like that it would be 6/5 stars and make there less stuff on premium make mtb more accessible! Otherwise for that large ahh flaw it is a very good app, and if you have money to buy premium I recommend it! If you dont tho its basically useless.
Nice
Nice
Ridiculously Disappointing
DO NOT GET THIS APP!! 2 minutes is all I needed to see that this is an awful app. Dated and inaccurate maps and trails, and a trail rating legend that dangerously under rated difficulty. A novice could REALLY get themselves in trouble if they followed this app’s rating system. Again, do not get this app.
Manage ment
overall, I love this app, I’ve used it consistently for a long time which feels like every day, but I wish that while I had a ride in progress, I could look at my account in my feed and not be trapped on the green screen. Otherwise, this is the best bike tracking app I’ve ever used
Not close to worth the cost
This app is missing way too many trails to charge for now. Give the app for people for free so they can help add trails. Trailforks is more than half the price and has all trails.
Not there yet
No maps to speak of in the Oklahoma City area. 3 stars because it seems like a good product, but not 5 stars because lack of maps.
Better than Strava
This one is actually dedicated to MTB
Can’t accept terms because of the UI getting in the way of the “agree” button.
Trash, doesn’t work for iPhones do not download!
RidePal
Great app helps you get motivated to ride more!
Clean. But old
So I didn’t even really use it as I immediately noticed. It was missing quite a bit of relevant and new information. Sure, that information comes with people adding it from rides, etc. etc.. The interface was really nice very clean and quick without all the additional lag the Trailforks has. But when the app has less than 20% of the available trails that Trailforks shows and the ones that they do have are outdated it’s simply not in pay $35 for a year. So I simply canceled before the free trial ended maybe in six or seven months. Some additional people will have some input and find a way to ingest current trails and their updates into this app.
Decent app
Decent app, but not enough trails and trail descriptions shouldn’t be locked behind a paywall
Best MTB app out there
This app is sooooooo good and is like if Mtb was a video game because you can level up and compete and stuff. :)
Map screen not working
When I click the map option, the bottom toolbar blocks the button to progress past the warning screen. Please fix that.
Good
But the jumping thing is inconsistent
Can’t sign in
So I get to the part where I enter a photo and a username and I fill it in with an available username and a photo, and press continue. It says please change your photo. So I do, then press continue again, and it says username not available, even though it said it was. So I change my username, and try again. This just kept on happening in a loop so eventually I gave up. The reason I gave this 2 stars was because the app looked like it could actually be good if I got in.
Not a trail discovery app
Trailforks is the standard. Has way more trails. Sure this app might have less features behind a paywall but it shows a fraction of the trails that Trailforks has so there’s no reason for me to use it.
Keith92111
Great
Needs a lot of improvement
Lots of missing trails. I think the UI is better than Trailforks but it lacks so much info.
Good
The app is good but my phone shut off while ending the ride and my progress just got lost can I retrieve back my data
App lacks trails
Unfortunately in New Zealand its missing heaps of trails i have next to none of even the most basic local trails on the map and to add them they want me to pay seems abit backwards paying to add value to their app sorry doesn’t even come close to trailforks. Would use if was overlayed with trailforks data
Signing up
For some reason when I click on ‘sign in with email’ it doesn’t send a notification so I can’t sign up.
Problems with the latest update
Can’t load any pictures and the flyover function doesn’t work anymore!
Not worth the cost
This app is almost identical to trail forks and other navigation apps with a smaller community. I didn’t find this to be worth the cost at all in comparison to what’s already out there.
Good but need improvements for trails
For me its hard to discover real downhill trails because most of the trails are XC rides. They gotta make a filter for like real trails and the ability to upload your trails onto the map
Underwhelming
Cool concept doesn’t actually show any trails or good bike places near me including a red bull track which u would think would be there.
Good, but just one thing
It’s been really helpful the past few days I’ve used it. I only wish that the perks from RidePal pro was free
Amazing
It is the coolest thing to use if you live somewhere where bike trails most of the time mean just up down and repeat so it was fun to find trails with jumps and berms it's amazing I love it
Does Not Work
An account is needed to use the app. Whenever I try to make an account, it sends me the email to login, but whenever I click the link to login, it takes me to a 404 page not found. I cannot access the app at all.
Good but could be better
Good as it just came out but not many trails and there aren’t any bike parks on the map love the app so far tho!
Ride pal
Good app but if you start it on your watch it dose not save to your phone so when you finish a ride and you want to see what you got you can’t Jack
You have to pay
Has great potential but any other app like Trailforks does the same thing but for free. The paid option most likely has more but I can’t tell because when I click on the pro, it pops a black screen and then it goes away
Very nice
If you are looking to get a app like this this is the one very organized and you can help yourself by tracking rides and seeing how you improve your health
Let’s go
Everytime I open ride pal it says setting things up and once it’s done it says let’s go so I click the button but it doesn’t go anywhere it just stays on let’s go
Good
Good App but confusing to use, it’s hard to find trails from trail centres and it doesn’t really understand what a mtb trail is
Map
I know you need to make money but could you please make the navigation feature free because it would be so useful but it costs so much. Also whenever I click on a trail it turns blue my map shifts a little, so I can’t tell if I’m looking at the same trail or a different one.
Pretty good, but needs work
This app seems comparable to TrailForks, but doesn’t lock most of its features behind a subscription which is nice. However, there isn’t a desktop platform or enough features to add/edit trail info. If it had all those, it would deserve 5 stars from me.
Cool app
RidePal is a cool app that helps me find new trails and track my progress!
Scam
Charged 130$ in a month for a free trial that was cancelled before it ended
Looks good
I currently use trail forks but also got this to check it out. Did not get pro so don’t rly know what the difference is yet but will soon do so. I quite like the layout but it has not been fully developed yet which is obviously understandable seeing as tho it was just released today. I would say I like the layout more than trail forks.
🥲
So far maps looks poor compared to different apps
Maybe good for Americans..
I’m sure its great if you’re in America and are happy to spend £60 a year. No free option and no trails registered anywhere else
