Muy práctica
Excelente para controlar y hacer un buen setting de la bicicleta. Ok
E-lock doesn’t connect
First time with e-lock no issues. 2nd time trying to leave for a hospital appt. Oh no it won’t connect - spend 10-15 mins trying to disconnect and reconnect. Day later again won’t connect - go through all the faff of removing, reconnecting etc and then disable and come here and write this review Calling it as basically annoying and useless Also the previous time I had my bike stolen despite supposedly bricking bike and then locating - just never seen again. Thieves are able to bypass so all in all it just seems to be a data gatherer
Very good but limited dark mode support
Having access to so much data while cycling is a game-changer, even if locking the aggregated stats behind a paywall is pretty mean-spirited. The app gets regular updates and is easy to use. My main gripe is that it’s 2026 and the app still doesn’t support dark mode or have a dark icon option. Sort it out please, Bosch!
Major bugs with unlocking
I’ve been using the app for quite a while now, but it has severe issues with unlocking the bike which have to be addressed! I found myself with the bike locked in the rain and even with the app opened it did not want to unlock it! Please fix these bugs and make the flow work
Nagware
Good app, I like the bike lock capability. But I wish there was a way to disable the reminders to “take your bike back to the shop for a full service in xxx days” feature.
Whyte e160
Fantastic bike rides well with the Bosch motor
Background Battery Depletion .
This app is poorly coded or is spying. Even with background app refresh off and location access set to “while using” it still uses 7% of battery overnight. The only solution is to force close after each use or uninstall. I now see a developer response. Duh…. The yellow banner optimisation is an Android feature not a ios feature. It doesn’t fill me with confidence if you don’t know the difference between Apple and Android.
Simple and straight forward
The app does all it needs to do, it’s pretty straightforward to use and import maps and such, the only thing It needs a landscape option for the other screens not just the ride mode, sometimes as well the app tracks my entire trip distance and calories but loses gps very early into the ride so the map just ends, for example I cycled a well known route a few days and it tracked 15 miles and the correct time and calories, but the map was not tracked 2.5miles of trail, signal isn’t a problem as I’ve used the trail many times without issue
Failing App
This app continues to be poorly managed. It is no longer syncing rides, tries to tell you how to ride and shift (which if you didn’t know) is not what you need in your life. This app interferes with other apps and cellular reception. It most certainly does not work well with any garmin device and should not be trying to function with it. Let me give you some strong advice…. You do not need this app or any of its lousy software that comes with more problems than it’s worth.
Don’t use the route planer
Some time ago I tried the route planner. It send me way of course. The response was. “We are still developing the App” I tried again using komoot but navigating with “Bosch” It did not follow the route bot send me a different to what I had planed. Also the app is not year ready for the newly installed “connect module” I still don’t get alert if the bike is moved unless it is laid down. It would be nice if Bosch had the app ready before hardware goes on sale. Simply poor management.
Love this app (with one suggestion)
I really like this app. After not riding a bike for more than 40 years, I’ve logged almost 300 miles in just two months. I love how the app shows my route and provides me with valuable data. The one feature that would be extremely helpful when charging is to be notified when the battery 100%. Thank you!
Can not unlock bike now
Not good now can not unlock my bike and so many users with same issue
Excellent Features – Please Add 100Nm/120Nm Options
I’ve been using the Bosch Flow app for about a week and a half now, and overall I’m really impressed. The app seems to have a lot of useful features and it’s been easy to get started with. I haven’t used the navigation feature yet, but I’m planning to soon. I have to admit I’m a little concerned after reading some of the reviews mentioning navigation issues, but I’ll make my own judgement when I’ve had the chance to test it properly. One feature I’ve absolutely loved is eBike Lock. Up until today it’s been incredibly quick and seamless to unlock my bike, making the whole experience feel very modern and secure. Today it seemed to take a little longer than usual to connect, but it’s still a fantastic feature and one that gives me real peace of mind, so thank you for including it. My biggest piece of feedback is regarding motor performance. Please consider giving Gen 4 motor owners the option to unlock higher torque levels, such as 100Nm or even 120Nm. Make it an advanced setting with clear warnings and allow riders to use it at their own risk if necessary. Many of us bought powerful e-bikes because we enjoy the performance, and it would be great to have the choice rather than having power held back. Riders who don’t want the extra torque can simply leave the default settings unchanged. If Bosch introduced an optional higher-torque mode for Gen 4 motors, this app would be very close to perfect for me. Keep up the great work and please continue giving riders more freedom to customise their bikes.
Not Connected
Bike and phone different to connect. Frustrating. connection drops a lot. Spending a lot of time, trying to renew the connection and getting nowhere. One other thing I'd like to see is a power shut off at 80% written into the software. I have it now other devices that I bought the last couple of weeks.
Gen4
Disappointed gen4 didn’t at least get 100nm along side 600% in today’s market after all we have the smart system too that was promised amazing things and i think I’m not the only gen4 rider that feels this way so please Bosch give us gen4 riders 100nm they all out of warranty so would be at riders own risk if something to go wrong surely we deserve the option to upgrade at least
Updates
Brilliant and easy to do love it
Not working
It worked fine for years, now it’s decided not to track rides anymore. Nothing lasts…
Great app, vital request
This is a great app full of everything you need to great data and info. One VITAL request. Please please please add remaining battery % to the Apple Watch. Really, please. Just the remaining battery. Just that tiny feature would change everything. Got a response from bosh: “We are committed to make it even better” I’m holding on to hope. 🤞
Heart rate integration rarely works
I’ve had the app for about 6 months now. One key feature that is working only 10% of the time is the heart rate integration with Apple Watch. When it does not work, I can start a workout with my watch, and then after a few minutes the Flow app will read my heart rate. Otherwise, it does not work. My support ticket to Bosch has not been answered. Other features seem to work good.
Update active line plus
Good app but very selfish. Performance line motors are the only ones that get updates and active line plus doesnt
120 nM
Can’t install 120 Nm on my orbea wild M20 2025 bosch drive gen 5 bdu3840
After 10 years this is the best you can do??
I’ve had a Haibike with a Bosch engine since 2016. The e-bike connect app was ok but not great. I was excited to get my new Moustache Xroad6 in 2026 with the new Bosch engine and it is a big improvement but the app if anything has gone backwards. The layout is appalling, the route planning is much worse. I used to complain it didn’t sort my favourite destinations in any order never mind alphabetically now you just can’t add favourite destinations! I suppose they have cornered the market so they don’t need to worrry about keeping customers happy. 🤷🏻♂️
Range Fantasy
The app is generally very good but the range feature is more BS than truthful. It is wildly inaccurate. The range at the end of long rides is nearly the same as it was at the start. And it never seems to exceed 65 miles despite my observed usage as about 1% per mile.
Software update failed
I have had the Bosch kiosk for the 3 years and every time I do the software update it fails multiple times. Fix it now. Very frustrating as I have tried all of the recommended fixes and nothing works.
What to do when won’t connect
Great app, particularly the e-lock function, until it doesn’t work. It would not connect to my cargo bike to unlock it. Even after I removed the bike from the app the bike was stuck in lock mode. Had to pedal myself, 2 kids and a very heavy cargo bike all the way home. Tried all the suggestions on help centre. Eventually had to pay 60 from BOSCH dealer to unlock. Nothing wrong with controller, only 3 months old. Shame as really happy with it otherwise but don’t want to get stuck again
Server unavailable
Had the app for over 2 years gone to use the bike today and saying server currently unavailable
Navigating route goes through a reroute WHY and need to reload map
I have been using navigation on my smart system since 2022. The software and navigation is pretty good. However on the latest updates I now realised if I go off route AND the e-bike turns off, when I restart the e-bike my navigation is lost. I then have to connect to the mobile data to download the map AGAIN and now the system tries to re-route my navigation! This is a great concern if you cannot get reliable mobile data AND I DO NO NEED ANY REROUTING. Should be a selection to follow original route WITH turn instructions etc without loosing the map when the e-bike turns off and on…. Just like the previous version. Can this option be provided? Or tell me how to avoid the option of reloading maps and get turn info with it when the bike is turned off/on.Thank you.
Great App
Great App easy to use and gives a fantastic screen for ridding. It would be 5 if all features were free but unfortunately some features require subscription.
Navigation needs overhaul
While the bike integration is great, the navigation UX is frustrating. Unlike Google Maps, the Flow map lacks flexibility; you can’t customize the scale or detail to suit your surroundings. Because the view is so static, it’s hard to anticipate upcoming turns or see the journey as a whole. Bosch should look at Waze for inspiration on how to make a "glanceable," intuitive navigation interface. Currently, it feels too rigid for real-world cycling needs.
Added my e-bike made it a class 1
I had a brand new class 3 e-bike with the performance CX motor in it. So I downloaded the app updated the bike and it but it from a 28 mph bike down to a 15mph bike. Totally ruined my bike not fun anymore as im a E-mtb user. Please can I have support.
Mandatory App
This is the perfect accompaniment to the bike Cannot recommend this enough
App update has effectively bricked my E bike
On 23rd of July 2026, after not using my bike nor updating the app for a few days, I find that I now need to log into the eBike Flow app again before my bike will unlock. However, my single key-id password which I know to be correct is not working. To compound the issue, the forgot my password function is also not working. My e-bike remains locked and effectively bricked until ID issues can be sorted out. super unimpressed Bosch !!!!!! How about when updating the app, you retain the previous security credentials instead of forcing logons?
HR ?
Latest 1.34 Still not holding HR data to post-ride stats.
Inconsistent
A very inconsistent and inconvenient app. Crashes often. Fails to connect to the bike often, which locks the rider out.
Long Time Coordinating with Strava
Perhaps it is just my bike! But it can sometimes be the next day before my ride is sent through to Strava. Otherwise the bike and the app work fine.
Best emtb app
Bosch flow is amazing
Left me stranded
App forced a move to Singlekey-ID but Bosch was incapable of sending me the verification code via e-mail. No way to simply log in with login and password. Leaving me stranded with a locked bike. My e-mail is working fine as I received the confirmation code of my customer service request.
Rocky
All good so far, the 60Nm update was painless to sort. But, should I now have the EMTB+ mode on the SX system? I’ve got EMTB, but not the + version?
Bike sharing
Great App when you can connect
Scary contract terms
Read the contract terms before agreeing they are ridiculous for a simple bike app
Feedback
Hager 138 I have just had my bike since the end of June this year , I just think that it is brilliant Smart e-biking with Bosch , it has been monitoring the way I ride the bike and adjusted the modes on the Bosch motor , which by the way I think is very clever indeed, I am 65yrs old and have got my love for biking back since a accident in 2020 . Thanks to the Trek bike and of course the Smart e-biking motor from Bosch . I hope this review is ok to post . Many Thanks
Still no upgrade
Two weeks now, latest update done but still no blue banner to do the torque update. Deleted a reinstalled app a few times but nothing !
Update options
The Ebike flow app is a very good idea , using the mobile to activate the bike to have extra security . But most people have smart watches these days , and it would be a good feature to be able not only to record vitals via the app and watch , but to be able to start the app via a smart watch , either android or Apple , watch. And then that would allow the bike to activate . As I always put my phone in my pannier to be safe . So watch is a great option , to be able to activate bike
Update doesn’t work
Not really impressed, the advertised latest update hasn’t worked.
App Crashes!
After the latest update the app crashes as soon as the ebike & app connects! Thankyou another update has fixed this problem now 18/07/25 A feature I would like to see is a Garmin widget connection option to show battery percentage and motor modes such as Shimano and Orbea have.
Was good
Was crashing a lot, had another update today and all is good
Tracking issues unless you allow always on
Too many rides not tracked and shown as issues with tracking . Only recommended to allow always on, not liking this app at all frequent faults and most rides cuts out and so does my bike when this happens
Ok, but could be better.
Ok, but needs better integration or syncing of data and metrics with Apple health. Finally able to post rides with HR data to Apple health, now you just need to include the power and cadence metrics to for a complete view of the activity once finished.
Route problems
This app is quite unreliable when tracking routes taken. Occasionally it tracks the route fine but often it will not track at all or it will just provide nonsense showing zig zags of straight lines that don’t correspond with the ride.
Update partially successful
Installed 1.28.9 on my Gen 5 Bosch CX and I am able to increase max power to 750w. However I can’t increase the max torque to 100nm and the new EMTB+ mode has not downloaded. Hopefully Bosch will be addressing these issues soon.
