It is not possible to adjust light modes in the app on RTL515. A competitive products alow it...
More functions would be nice
Connected to 515 radar and works fine. I would appreciate more functions . E.g. bluetooth connection to DI2, gear showing, DI2 battery status, speed…
Doesn't work with light off
If you're running low on power and want to just use the radar function of your Varia light, the app disconnects from the Bluetooth pairing and is useless. It really should connect to the radar network not the light network. Would be a good app if that was fixed
Revert original UI please!
Please restore the clear and bulky design. With the new “fresh” UI, its hardly possible to spot coming car on phone display (when mounted on bar). Radar function is otherwise great

Acquistato dopo lunga meditazione, son molto soddisfatto, preciso, è ormai fedele compagno di ogni uscita.
Funziona perfettamente, ma …..
La app funziona perfettamente, ma sarebbe bello ed importante se ci fosse la possibilità di averla anche su Apple Watch. Questo perché è molto più pratico utilizzare un orologio che uno smartphone su una bici.

Si potrebbe fare una versione premiun a pagamento con una serie di indicazioni in più , tipo : velocità, temperatura esterna, ecc Insomma un mini ciclo computer non professionale .
Necessita ancora di alcune migliorie!
1) il suono di allarme di presenza veicoli e troppo basso e non si sente a sufficienza se si ascolta musica o se c'e' vento. 2) inserire uno switch sulla schermata principale per disattivare e attivare gli avvisi. 3)inserire uno switch sulla schermata principale per controllare le impostazioni del led. ps: l' aggiornamento di 2 settimane fa (10 Ottobre 2020) il suono che da via libera e' ottimo ed il suono si sente molto bene. mentre resta sempre basso quello che segnala la presenza dei veicoli! Aprile 2023: ancora non sono stati aggiunti i pulsanti per controllare il led direttamente dall'app ed il suono di via libera e' basso 😌 aggiornateeee 🙏🏻
Serve estensione per Apple Watch!
L’app funziona abbastanza bene ed è utile, ma per essere apprezzabile è necessario poterla installare Apple Watch

Supporto per Apple Watch
Dovreste aggiungere il supporto per le notifiche su Apple Watch e/o app dedicata per WatchOS: il volume notifiche é troppo basso e la vibrazione sull’iPhone non ha senso quando é attaccato ad un supporto sul manubrio.
Radar is superb! Other functions missing.
Radar if fabulous, works perfectly! Very much appreciated. But I would appreciate more functions. If connected with watch and telephone, why not to show at least speed?
Deludente
Impossibile controllare le luci dalla app che recepisce solo il segnale del radar . Con quello costano i varia tutte le funzioni remote dovrebbero essere presenti. Auspico un aggiornamento firmare a breve che non obblighi l’acquisto di un edge , perfettamente inutile per chi come me ha una Mountain bike elettrica con ciclocomputer già in dotazione di serie (es. shimano). Un mezzo bidone insomma.
Too Quiet
The warning sounds are too quiet on my iPhone 6S. I don’t hear them when riding. I do hear them when stopped at the roadside when there is no wind noise. But they are still quiet, and my phone speaker volume is turned up to max. Garmin should allow you to use alert tones from your device. I have a number available that are much much louder than the one supplied with the app.
An essential part of road safety
It was hard to check behind specially when riding in a group. I used this with the phone for a few days before I paired this to my Garmin computer. Helpful and I consider this as an essential tool for a safe road ride.

Fantastico. Per ora 4 stelle. Arriverà il supporto per l’Apple Watch? Sarebbe interessante perché se uno non vuole sentire i suoni, può sentire le vibrazioni attraverso il polso grazie all’Apple Watch!
Da migliorare assolutamente così non va bene
Va assolutamente aumentato il volume e anche con un tono più alto l’avviso della presenza di veicoli in arrivo. Così, con il vento o altri rumori della strada, è praticamente impercettibile e anche pericoloso.

Très efficace le varia.j’aimerais tout simplement avoir des sons différents plusieurs choix. Et pourquoi pas une application pour Apple Watch quand on va faire que des commissions. Merci !

Works well
My only issue is it hasn’t charged properly on two occasions. This has been frustrating as I subsequently went on linnet rides and it died. If this was consistent I would have no issues.
Controllo del dispositivo
L’applicazione si connette velocemente al dispositivo Varia RTL515, niente da dire; ma sarebbe molto utile poter controllare le modalità di funzionamento della luce direttamente dallo smartphone senza dover premere il pulsante sul Varia rischiando di distrarsi alla guida della bicicletta...direi che con quello che costa, mi sembra il minimo e magari più sicuro, visto che serve appunto per la sicurezza del ciclista. Inoltre i pulsanti di attivazione e disattivazione del suono e vibrazione, li metterei direttamente a portata di mano nella schermata principale. Spero che l’aggiornamento firmware si possa fare anche direttamente dall’applicazione, perché leggendo sul manuale, è necessario un dispositivo Edge oppure il collegamento al PC.

Peace of mind
I’ve just begun using Varia radar / taillight . A few close calls prompted my decision to purchase. This product is as advertised and near flawless. I’m now aware of approaching cars , the number of , their approach time and when it is clear . Very pleased with this purchase. Highly recommend.

Do una stella perché non funziona. Mi dispiace ma purtroppo ho provato vari tentativi senza esito di connessione, rimango in attesa di migliorie al software.
J’adore
Permet de rouler en restant plus vigilant sur la route devant nous. C’est un accessoire qui amène un plus grand plaisir à pédaler et avec une facilité d’utilisation et puis précision radar déconcertante. Tout comme mon casque, je ne sortirai jamais sans mon Varia RTL 150.

Excellent produit, je l’ai jumelé avec mon iPhone et une montre Fenix 5X Plus et tout fonctionne très bien sans problème. Facile d’installation et très facile a utiliser. Bravo pour ce produit. Good job!
