Think Before Relying.
I’ve been using this app for some time and I’ve noticed that this AI’s pattern matching can sometimes lead me down unproductive paths especially when I’m emotionally activated. In those moments, it may unintentionally influence people’s decisions and perspectives on their lives and relationships, rather than guiding them towards the underlying issues that require self reflection. This feels important to acknowledge and I believe a clear warning or framing around this would be responsible. The potential is there, but this aspect is important to take into account.
The coach I never knew I needed
Purpose has become my sounding board for so many everyday things and thoughts. It’s a great sparring partner when trying to unravel my entanglements and understand my mind so much better. It’s like a journal that talks back at me, connects the dots and shows me clarity.
Love idea but bugs hinder functionality
I love the idea and would love to use it, but there are bugs hindering proper use: after I write a journal entry or question, it looks like a reply is being written but it never comes through. Only after closing the app and restarting it sometimes there is an answer (but sometimes all is lost, even my entry). And old entries are not stored, can’t read back what I wrote yesterday
The end of therapy as we know it
Mark Mason and his team have delivered yet another truly stellar product. Possibly the best so far, integrating all of scientifically validated self-help approaches into one AI selfreflection partner who helps you to get to know and understand yourself better and better as you progress. It eclipses all types of support and coaching I have ever tried in effectiveness. In a few focused conversations I have gotten to deep understanding of unhelpful patterns and custom-built ways to overcome them (“scaffolding” for tending to evolving behavioural change). I am no hardcore ai fan but this one is worth an exception. I stand amazed, in awe and immensely grateful!
App doesn’t work. Choose your plan is my last step
Please fix your subscription page. Also - I heard Mark is new at this but you cannot expect people to buy something without knowing what they are buying. I was willing to do it for a week because I like his podcast but this is not a user friendly selling pitch. Please offer at least some free trial time.
Expensive
Works well, but really expensive for an AI-coach. Unfortunately not going forward with the paid subscription.
Nice chat buddy but buggy and often doesn't listen
I'll probably keep using it. It helped. I see potential. Or I'll cancel and check back in half a year. Haven't decided yet. My god is this software buggy and limited in the features I've come to love from other tools. I can only send one message at a time, quote only one message. And after I sent there's no way to edit to get a different response or tell the tool to stop. Messages keep randomly disappearing, like 30 at a time, and then I'm stuck staring at the screen for a minute while one by one very slowly they reload, before I can continue. Also it doesn't listen to requests. "Do you want me to check in in a week?" No I don't like check-ins "Got it, so would you like me to check in with you?" Please stop asking me, I'll come back to you myself. "I'm sorry, I haven't been listening, I won't ask again" (1 minute later) "So I will check in with you in a couple days again?" (Me throwing phone at the wall) I probably would have sent this to support instead of writing a review and write a better review in the future, but I can't find a place to send feedback. I want this tool to get fixed. The world needs this.

Purpose helped me find my purpose within 1 month. I am grateful for seeing it clearly now 🙏
Amazing tech
It’s crazy to think you can actually talk to a computer about your problems and the computer is not only able to talk about any field with knowledge but also is actually supportive. The quality of the conversations is really good and using it was already extremely helpful for me - after 3 days. Only four stars then? Yes, five are perfect. It’s an AI, and like other ones it sometimes assumes stuff instead of asking for clarity. Also, it seems to be a little quick in describing every sharp thought as breakthrough.
Cannot subscribe
The app does not let me subscribe. Location Germany.
Helpful App
Sometimes there’s a problem you don’t have anyone to discuss with. I had such a problem which cost me a lot of energy for many years. Purpose helped me to see the solution within a single day. Can’t thank you enough for this! However, some things could be improved: - The app tends to jump to conclusions based on whatever tiny bit of information you provide. It doesn’t ask any clarifying questions. So you really have to think for yourself and challenge the AI to make it useful. - It’s not critical at all with the thoughts and conclusions I put into the chat. Every thought of mine seems to be gold. I would much prefer to be challenged a bit more. Anyway, impressive app. Update after two weeks of using the app: I got used to how the AI reacts, so now I know how to avoid that the topics I mentioned above reduce the quality of the outcome. Also the hints in the developers email were very helpful. Changed from four to five stars.
Love it, but be careful
A really great app that helps me find clarity in confusing situations. The thing is brand new and some improvements could be made. - sometimes the chat function doesn’t seem to work - the chat function sometimes jumps to conclusion. I stead of carefully assessing the situation it sometimes misreads the text and draws big conclusions in haste. - a word of warning would be great: don’t get carried away. AI doesn’t need rest and reflection time. People do. How about a one hour limit for a ‘session’? - Of course, the app tries to replace agents that not have been trained for the purpose. It really fills a void. Keep up the good work , improve it and get it to google play store as well!
I cried
I want this to reach others — if it means that anyone can experience such revelation as I did, then please allow this app to find itself to as many people as possible. I‘d like to say I’m often a healthy sceptic of things, but Purpose’s performance seems just beautiful. The app reframed my situation in such a way that just made things so clear, I couldn’t be more grateful!
