Best product ever!
This product has stopped my arthritis pain after 2 weeks of using. It’s truly a miracle device.
Beware - subscription required for full functionality
Very disappointing. Some pulse patterns for gut, head and recovery are pay-wall-gated. If I’m paying this much for a device I expect all health patterns to be available. Fine to charge for the extra monitoring but restricting the device functionality is very lame. Would not recommend.
Application
Love the product however the application at times will not work and reverts to test mode with purchase option .
Too much upselling
When I open the app, I am bombarded with “Update this and update that”. Can’t even find how to get started because the focus is too much on upgrading!
A bit disappointed
When I first tried Pulsetto, I was blown away! Due to chronic migraines, I needed to put the device down until I could get that sorted. Coming back after only a couple of months and the music is now behind a paywall. This was quite disheartening. at least I can pull up a track on YT and use it at the same time. However, I do feel the program is more immersive using their music tracks. Please bring the music back to the non premium level app access. This device costs a lot and having to pay so much to access basic features is a massive let down.
Helps with disabilities
I am recovering from cushings disease which is an overproduction of cortisol that causes lots of issues. After my surgery I developed pots which is when your nervous system does not control your cardiovascular system correctly. I haven’t been able to work in a long time and I routinely wake up nauseous because of the pots. This not only helps lower my cortisol but it also helps regulate the pots and I can sit up better concentrate better and maybe I’ll be able to go back to work soon.

Really good
I love the hardware, and the app is great. I give 4 stars because you will be charged $50 a couple weeks after you receive the device if you don’t go in and unsubscribe from the premium app. You are made aware of the fact by an email created by AI and it can’t be reasoned with and it can’t tell you anything about how to unsubscribe. So - $50 lighter and a bit smarter so TOTALLY WORTH IT (sarcasm). Anyway, as for positives - it works great and the standard app (no premium) is very good at controlling the device and has all the features I need. If you need premium, the good news is you’re signed up for it from day 1. Other positives - I am sleeping better, my HRV has increased and my stress level are down. Exactly what I bought this for. So - thanks for making all this, but don’t take any more money from me.
Login issues
Constantly logs me out every 3 weeks or so and gives no way back if you try to log in via the wrong method. Please fix. A simple back button would do. This is critical when you freaking pay wall all the features. This device is also dependency forming. We you use it for a while and then don’t use it you feel like 10 times worse then your normal baseline for a couple days so be careful.
Hidden subscription
Be careful of hidden enrolments into premium subscription 1 month after activating your device. Does not matter if you reject the free trial premium offer. Pulsetto claims “Regarding the subscription - a Premium trial is included with every purchase and outlined in the confirmation email.” Is not clearly stated in the emails. I never clicked the link for the free trial nor did I ever have access to it on the account. I only ever had access to the basic functions of the app. The good news. I really do like the device under basic settings
Great tool for priming terrain
Worth the money!
Too much of a hassle for me
First off it was difficult to get them unit situated correctly on my neck, then I go in one day and I am signed out and now wants me to create a whole new sign in so what happened to the information I already had. There’s no back button.
Good but a bit naggy & annoying
I’ve been using my Pulsetto device via the app for a couple of years and I like the benefits but what I do find rather annoying is (despite the fact that I’ve been consistently using the device twice daily for 60 days) the app continues relentlessly to insist that i schedule session times with reminders which I don’t want to yet there’s no way to disable this ‘feature’ which in my opinion is a really poor design choice. The other thing that I found really frustrating about the app is the premium subscription. they got me on one of those trials until I realise I was paying $15 a month (and I pay for many apps) but realised it was horrendous value. Getting the premium subscription to stop was a bit of a hassle, but app periodically tries to get me to upgrade which is annoying. And finally the other thing is that roughly after every 10 sessions, the app asks me to write a review. I’ve attempted to do this virtually every time but it only gives me about five seconds and then starts another stimulation. I’m not sure whether this is ‘by design’ or not but it’s also annoying, hence why I’m finally taking the time to actually write this all down in the hope the developer will fix these little quirks
Good hardware, buggy app.
Half the time the app says I’m offline despite a perfectly functional connection. My streaks reset for no reason, despite using it daily.
Watch out for expensive auto subscription
Bought device and only used the free functions (which were not many) and discovered a $67 a month charge on my card. Just using the device on the app enrolls you in a free trial whether you want it or not. Also learned you can’t opt out until free trial is over, ensuring they ding you at least once.
First Time User
For the first time using this Pulsetto and Pulsetto app it’s been a very nice experience. I’m excited to see if I use it twice a day how my stress will be reduced in 14 days. I will post another review after those 14 days to let you know!
Never works
I honestly have no idea why this app has such great ratings. None of the features work consistently and IMHO it’d be great if the appliance just worked without needing an app to run it.
App is glitchy at times
Great product but twice already the app just stops working with no warning and you cant use the unit. Would be nice if this worked offline so we dont need to deal with an app when no signal or when they are having problems or updating. Its pretty annoying
Free trial issue
Would not let me enter my order number for the 14 day free trial. I did skip past that and got the 7 day free trial but the 14 day would have been nice. I put order in exactly as shown and said it was invalid.
Doesn’t work when their servers are unreachable
I want to like this device and app a lot more. But the lack of an offline mode seems to be a huge miss. Great when you have internet. Useless without it.
Great product
This does exactly what they say it does. It’s extremely effective. It has absolutely helped my sleep patterns. Definitely recommend this. It’s a great product.
Don’t give them your credit card!
I was disillusioned with the device as it is pretty annoying to have to log into an app to use… especially if you wanted to use it to help in the middle of the night. I have to use both hands to keep it in place, otherwise it feels like I am having a stroke. Regardless of those points, the company has charged me for a monthly subscription that I never signed up for, never agreed to have my credit card information stored, and can’t “unsubscribe” from in the app, because it clearly shows I have no subscription. Customer service is doing nothing to help the situation, just keep trying to sign me up for the subscription.. which I do not want. Very poor experience for something that is supposed to help those of us who are already stressed!
Minor niggle
App doesn’t keep track of sessions properly. Forgets the recent history at times. Sends showed up on weekend messages at random times. Promises a nutrition plan as a reward for compliance (probably a premium feature) which it doesn’t deliver on the lite planThe device itself is an absolute lifesaver.
Poor at updating your data. Apple heath.
Refresh… No data… Refresh… No data… Refresh… No data… Is there an update today? Maybe yes / maybe no… seems to be getting worse over time… this should not be my daily ritual… It’s probably adding to the problem it’s supposed to be solving!
Lacking some standard features
The app should show the battery percentage and should have a way to specify what notifications are wanted. I finally turned off all notifications because I couldn’t find a way to specify which I wanted and didn’t. And the app support link in the App Store takes you to the sales page!

pretty terrible
The app is terrible, the device just makes my neck hurt, and I was charged for premium subscription I didn't sign up for. I would not recommend getting this device.
Great unit, occasionally flaky software but good support
The device has been a godsend, making a real difference to my pain management, however, the app (on an iPhone 16) has occasionally been problematic, with disconnection or login issues. However, the developers have proven to be responsive, which is all one can ask for!
Just a tens device No “Braingasm” as advertised
Just a very expensive tens device. No “Braingasm” as advertised. Feels somewhat relaxing but not what was advertised and fries not lower blood pressure which is why I sacrificed to buy this. I regret spending so much money. It’s nothing special just slick marketing.
Great device, app always glitching
I love the device and I feel it makes a big difference when I use it consistently. However over the past two years using it there have been several times when I get the device ready and then when I go to open the app and it won’t load. Very frustrating.

They keep charging my card
I ordered Pulsetto and never signed up for premium. They continue to charge my card every 3 months even though I never signed up for this and notified them many times. Do not give them your credit card!!!!
App runs smoothly but cant sent feedback
When I try to submit feedback, there is no text field and i cannot give feedback. Thumbs up is a good review, thumbs down means you need to submit feedback but you cant fill in text.
Watch out for subscription
The device itself is great. The app, even if you cancel within the free trial, will bill you for a premium subscription and the response to cancel the subscription is not good. I was charged this morning and all communication has been about what the premium program does, despite multiple attempts to reverse a charge that never should have happened. I would be happy to share screenshots with anyone interested of my experience.
Stuck in loading mode
For some reason the app version on my iPhone and iPad are both stuck in “loading” mode. Deleted both versions and reinstalled. Still “loading.” Resolved after about 48 hours.
Great buy
A bit expensive but worth the buy .. when ever I’m stressed, overwhelmed with thoughts… this helps Me control my anxiety,thoughts… Its not a magic cure all its more like a tool in your arsenal.
Expensive device, limited free use
I’ve add the Pulsetto device for about 7 months now. My biggest concern is the continuous removal of free in app features that you now need to pay for. I first lost access to guided breathing during a session. While the Pulsetto effect is yet to be proven, breathing is known to help reduce stress. The latest update removed access to soundtrack during a session. This one makes no sense at all. I also lost access to the personal session and now if I want to use my $300+ Pulsetto device for the stress management program in app (what I originally bought it for) I need to pay extra every month. Customer service was quite inefficient when I first got started in helping address in app bugs. On the efficacy side: no effect on gut related issues. I do not recommend Pulsetto and will look for another device and a company who supports its customer in line with their claimed mission.
Some things I noticed
I just downloaded the app and noticed a spelling mistake in Settings. Where it states “Examine the condition of your wellness”. Wellness is spelled welness, when it should be with two l’s not one. Secondly, I feel the bottom 3 tabs - Insights, Home, Profile - are a little low. Either than that the app is great.
Unnecessary App
I like the Pulsetto device, but I just want it to have an on and off switch, not have to be run through an app. There have been times the app doesn’t work so I can’t use the device. The different “stimulations” modes in the app (like sleep, stress, etc.) are literally just different amounts of time—sleep is 10 minutes, stress is 4 minutes, etc. And again, even with the app, no on/off switch or option to set your own number of minutes, which is such an artificial construct, like they’re just trying to invent a reason to justify a whole app. Even the device levels are really subjective, they totally depend on the amount of electrode gel you’re using. I don’t know why anyone would pay a whopping $99/year for a premium version of the app. A ridiculous money grab.
Eh
I don’t like how the app continues another session automatically. I have tried to write a review in the app and I always get cut off because another session starts without me prompting it. I like the idea but if I want to do another session I will choose to do so.
Great for POTA
This was recommended to me by the POTS clinic at Johns Hopkins. I was highly skeptical, however, it has really helped me recover from activities that would otherwise throw me into a flare. I really wish that they would expand the pairing to other wearables. I also use the visible band to manage my illness. I think these two devices working together make a lot of sense.
Nothing is working or connecting
Unable to connect the app to Bluetooth or location services. I have completed all the troubleshooting of restarting my phone, restarting the app restarting the device, reinstalling the app.
Won’t stay online…
So irritating - definitely does not make me feel calm with this one - As of lately, when the app goes from my Wi-Fi to my cell service, it goes into off-line mode. *Unfortunately, it never goes back online! Even when I hook back up to my Wi-Fi. *There is no way to get it back online when it is in this “offline mode” state! *When that happens, guess what my 20 minute session does it shows as not finished and gives me a zero. * do you know how frustrating this is? This is the exact opposite of what the Pulsetto should do.
App stops working
For the second time in two weeks, without warning, the app has stopped working. It signed me out by itself and won’t let me sign back in. Just stays stuck on a white “loading” screen. Device is great when it works, but sucks it’s bound to the app being functional. Edit - I see your response Pulsetto, but unfortunately you’re wrong, it has not been fixed. It is now February 26th and I’m having the exact same issue as before. Brutal
Oh my!
Oh goodness! Oh golly geee! Took me a few minutes (after charging for 1.5 hrs) to figure it out…did two sessions back-to-back…SO relaxing…lovin’ it! RECOMMENDED!
Buggy App
After entering my Pulsetto order number, the app appeared to time out and returned to the screen asking what I want to be called. I again entered my name, clicked on Pulsetto to indicate place of purchase, and reentered my order number. An error message was returned stating that my order number is invalid. The order number was taken directly from the email I was sent by Pulsetto after placing my order. I now have to wait several days just to speak with someone to get this cleared up. Extremely frustrating and not at all user friendly!
Low rating until they figure out a full offline mode
The product has been rendered useless a couple of times due to being dependent on Pulsetto’s servers being online. There is no way to currently use your pulsetto device fully offline. Until that changes, the app gets 2-stars.
App is annoying to use
This app could really use some tweaks. When it works it is ok but there are times when the app won’t even log a completed session. If it wasn’t for the fact the hardware required this app, it would already be deleted and that is before even factoring in the app’s nagging about not using it enough or that they paywalled specific settings behind a subscription after charging what they do for the hardware.
