WeatherFront - Radar & Models reviews
4.8 out of 5, based on 491 reviews.
What people like
- Lots of features available for free
- Radar and data are very accurate
- Easier to use than RadarScope
What they complain about
- Subscription costs feel like a scam
- Login issues make paid accounts vanish
- No widget support for quick checks
Great app
This app blows RadarScope out of the water! I have switched to WF.
A paywall for the features
This app is done because there’s a generous payroll for the rest of the features in the app for one year it cost $100. That’s ridiculous. And entitled as for free. That’s a scam.
Could add a bit more
There could be a global satellite imagery and global radar and on desktop some things aren't locked behind advanced
Great App, Terrible Accounting
For the few days that it worked this app was to notch, but then one day you can’t log in to your paid account and they tell you it doesn’t exist, it’s a worthless app.
Still no favorites for locations or multiple address pins available
Please add the ability to pin or favorite multiple locations so that they are visible on the map. This functionality makes a big difference for people tracking multiple addresses for weather activity. Rest of the app is really great.
Best free weather app
As a wannabe meteorologist, this app is the best free weather app I’ve ever had!!
Good Weather App, But!!
Good App but read instructions and know your doing
The best
How the heck is this so accurate and fun to use!
Love it
Love the app, I'm trying it out after using RadarScope for years. The amount of details there are to choose from is insane. The one thing I wish the app had is the capability to put a widget on my homescreen. I've had a small square with my local radar through RadarScope for a long time, that way I can see the radar without opening the app up and know whether or not something is coming. Then I can just click the widget to open the app if I'm seeing a bunch of warnings there. The widget being there has been extremely helpful living in the Midwest where the weather can change drastically within the hour. Excited to use this app regardless!
Great app
Best weather app I’ve used.. I hope one day that I’ll be able to use it with CarPlay
Weekly updated forecast
I would give this 5 stars if it had a future forecast to look at. But other than that the radar is great.
New favorite wx app!
As a longtime RadarScope user, I recently became aware of this app and so far I’m loving the functionality! I am using it more now actually than RS. I love the amount of data you can view without being behind a paywall, simple things like MRMS, satellite views, metars, models, smoothing, etc. Crazy how some of these basic things are missing from the other app! Anyway, I’m really enjoying this app and I hope it continues to improve and doesn’t start hiding features behind a subscription!
Bring the free models to here just like the web
Love that we have a search function now. Hope we see more free options for the model map since the web has more it seemed. I’ve noticed too on the web with the HRRR shows further then in the app but if I go to the GFS model and then go back to HRRR it shows further in the future. So not sure if that’s a bug or if I just don’t understand it
To whom it may concern
Love the format in the app but waiting for iOS updates on the new stuff love to see the app expand
NEED WIDGETS NOW
I know almost 99.99% of people that have the scope don’t know about its widget capabilities. But I do, and I need you to know about it too. Because it’s a game changer. I know when imma get wet or see big purple dots or rotation near. Please for the love of god ADD IT WOULD MUCH RATHER USE THIS THAN THE SCOPE BUT I NEED A WIDGET
Amazing!
Ive been using WeatherFront for quite some time, you cant get nearly everything for free! And a small $10 subscription for so so so so much data is amazing! I love how they have all sorts of radar modes. I do have one suggestion. I think adding surface analysis‘s would be a small, but great addition. Overall, an amazing app!
8 out of 10
It’s great but sometimes Dose not word. But other than that, 8/10 would recommend
Amazing!
A weather app that truly does it all. Radar, satellite, models and more. Loving this app. Can you add the ability to select and copy watch/warning/discussion etc…text or have the ability to send that text in a text message to someone?
It’s good
The free version has some great features, but I’d need to get the advanced version to get all the features I need.. and I would, if it was a 1 time payment and not a recurring payment.
Best Weather App by FAR!
I really don’t know how this app has everything it offers for free, but I hope it stays that way. The amount of features that are easy to access and use for any skill level of storm chasing and weather monitoring is spectacular, very nice app, definitely my favorite above all others.
Good but I wish you added Cameras
This app is great I can check so much stuff and it even making me want to have a career in Weather
The best forecast teller
The radar is the best weather front has cool things Like upgraded tornados upgraded server thender storm warnings it is the best weather app you better buy it
