Features removed during my subscription

I have been using this Weather app for over a year and found it very useful. However, midway through my subscription, the radar feature was removed and the only way to get it back was to pay an additional $30. I don’t mind the price increase and would have paid the additional $10 at the end of my subscription. However, now I’m seriously considering not renewing. Developer: you don’t remove features from an established subscription just because the price increases for new subscriptions.

Okay but…

Only viewing option is with a dark background and white text which totally screws with my eyes after less than 5 minutes being on it. Please provide the option to pick what type of background is preferred.

Great app consolidating multiple NWS sources

Great job presenting data from nws. Only complaint is occasional freezes that require restarting the app

Expected better than bad

I don't see the point of this "app" - it just takes NWS data, fixes none of the UX, and tries to sell it to you for $60 with constant pop-ups. NO WIDGETS. NO EASY TO READ CHARTS. NO MULTI LOCATION PAGE. Think I'll stick to the NWS website

Would not recommend

First of all, this app is really a let down. When you see the photos it has on the App Store it looks promising. However, everything it advertises you have to pay for. Then most of the free stuff you get is either really straight forward or way to complex. I really had high hopes for this app.

★★★☆☆ United States · v5.0 · 14 Dec 2024

Too expensive for what it offers

This app just repackages data that is offered for free by the US National Weather Service, mainly the “Area Forecast Discussion” issued by your local Weather Forecast Office. I liked the app because it makes the AFD more readable. But, I don’t want to give this app access to my location, and setting a default WFO requires a paid subscription. Instead, I found an alternative way to get the forecast discussion in a more readable format and uninstalled this app. I don’t think this app should be a subscription, especially not when it’s just displaying data that is available for free. A one-time app purchase would be more reasonable for this kind of app.

Amazing app

When I am forecasting weather this is extremely helpful when I can’t view the NWS Area forecast discussion. Super helpful 10/10

Useless app

Literally got to pay for everything. All of this stuff is free online or another app

$60 for free weather data?

All of the data within this app is available for free from the National Weather Service. The fact that the app developer has programmed into the app constant pop-ups demanding $60 for “lifetime access” to data which is already freely available is just laughable. Deleted.

Extremely accurate and concise Wx interpretation

I am a pilot whom flies in/out of the California coastal areas often. Deep Wx is spot on with fog forecasting with 80% accuracy rate. I like the long term outlook layout and can get a good synopsis of the days ahead in just 60 seconds of reading. Great job!

Familiar tools

I was a weather observer and forecaster in the Air Force, then forecaster as a civilian totaling 17 years. It’s good to have some real tools to use again. Only wish I had access to 00Z and 12Z satellite of US, a 200mb chart, and maybe votive analysis/forecast. The discussion is familiar and useful.
