Wh31e sensor
I purchased this compatible sensor to use w/my 2902 but it won’t add w/out a MAC address that isn’t anywhere to be found.
Great but…
Love having the real time stats and being able to see neighboring stations as well. One thing I’d love to have is daily totals even just for 1 week at a time so we can see the previous day(s) without having to calculate the week’s running amount minus the current day’s amount.
Missing yearly totals
I'm assuming some kind of update removed the outdoor yearly totals for rain and high low temperatures, so now I have to go to the device itself and punch a bunch of buttons to find the information Lame!!!!!
Installing my new weather station.
Why did they take the “wind chill” option off?
Great weather system
This system is great to have. My favorite part is seeing the rate the rain is coming down. Accurate with the amount of rain in a given day.
App stopped working after update/ no tech support
July 2026. Data that was available with the original purchase and was advertised as such is now behind a paywall. This simply isn’t right! As a gardener I rely on monthly rain totals and this information being available to me is why I purchased this particular system. So going back on the original agreement simply isn’t right and needs to be dealt with by reporting this behavior to the consumer protection agency. Greed is the enemy of the consumer. The app stopped working after the update one week ago. I notified Ambient Weather about the problem, app will initiate the logo pops up then it goes to white screen and stays there. But no one has responded. I’ve read that others have had this issue as well. The station works and the app works on my iPad but it’s really more convenient to use the app on my iPhone. My iPhone has plenty of memory and a strong internet connection. The company should have responded by now. A week is just unacceptable given the price of the weather station. Also, the lighting detector is almost useless at all settings. I’ve tried multiple settings on the Reddit page but none works for me. The best setting I found is hit or miss. I got 67 strikes when a major storm hit then the next day two large strikes hit directly over my house but the detector didn’t catch them. That’s an expensive device that I really regret buying. There’s also a bit of deception from the company involving being able to use the desktop to track the information from the station. In the pictures on the site it shows all three devices, phone, tablet and computer as usable for tracking but you’ll need to pay extra to use it on your computer. In hindsight I think I would have gone with a different system.
Good one!
It’s a good tough one or good product in general. There were some cheapys I decided weren’t the best bet. I will not do for the reviews. If this one activates the Chuck luck curse again .Thing still better. be strong a few good years.. ChuckD
Fullscreen
Would love a nice full screen dashboard view
Graph Buttons Removed from Tiles
I used the button at the bottom of every Tile to access the graph for that Tile multiple times a day but apparently some developer thought it would be a good idea to remove it and instead require users to tap and scroll more to find the graphs - WHY??? Nothing like having a frequently used app feature removed suddenly for no apparent reason.

Ridiculous
Just wanted a simple wireless device to collect some weather data such as wind direction, relative humidity, etc. This is not it. Can’t connect device outside to the console inside easily. And it’s all about paying a subscription. No thanks
Please add the quick graph button back to the tiles!
Within the last few days, the little squiggly line takes you straight to the graph for the tile you’re in has disappeared. Now you have to tap the three dots and select from a drop down menu. So, it’s not a huge issue, but I have to put my glasses on to make sure I don’t accidentally delete to tile or anything else drastic. First world problems.
Unfriendly App for change of location
There is no way to change my home location in the app after moving to a different city. I finally deleted and started over the account but the app would not let me setup my equipment. It said someone else owned the equipment (which was my old account). This is totally ridiculous. I don’t recommend this app at all.
Good so far
Just got a WS-2902 weather station. Setup was a little clunky, but doable. Day-to-day operation has been pretty good. Would like to see another widget similar to your current wide widget (maybe make that one taller), but shows more of my actual personal weather station data because that’s why I bought my own weather station to begin with. Thanks.
Weather app
Great product, just got it but really like looking at the weather I believe it’s accurate! Bruce

Solid app
Choosing tiles can be a little unintuitive. Otherwise, this is a solid app that is easy to install and connect to an Ambient Weather station.
IOS ambient weather app
The web version works well on ipad and pc under chrome. The app version is very difficult to log in and get to a tile view.
Doesn’t state rain amount
We have had the weather station for over a year and cannot get it to state the amount of rain we have received. Last summer I called and called the Ambient phone number, left a message a few times and never had anyone answer my call or call me back from leaving a message. The weather station seems to be of good quality. We got it so we could tell, when away from home, how much rain we have received.
Love the unit
I love how I can ‘watch’ the measurements from a distance (currently 800 miles). I discovered I accidentally turned off AC and house inside was a bit over 90. A friend went over the house and turned the ac back on. Have thermometers in multiple rooms was helpful.
NO!!
If you change Internet providers you might as well throw this thing in the trash. Second Ambient, changed to Starlink and now nothing. Split the 2.4/5.0 as instructed, nothing. Ambient has ancient coding, not changed since dial-up internet. Don’t waste your money.
Feature request
I think the weather station and data is really cool, I personally like to see what our real UVI is compared to what other weather apps say, it is drastically different at times. One feature I would love added to this app, and didn’t realize there wasn’t already such an option, is looking at data longer ago than 24 hours. Would love to know, for example, how much rain we got in the week or month or what air quality was this time of year versus last year.
More understandable.
I need to stand the better.
Take my data and my money
I’m really not sure if the service is worth it. I link up my weather station to their service so they get my data and then they ask me to pay so that I can take advantage of the data that I’m providing them.
Awesome Weather Station
This weather station is fantastic. It may be a bit harder to setup for those not too familiar with electronic/computer stuff. But, once it’s up and running…very good!
Does not work
Can’t get it to stay connected to outdoor sensors. Keeps dropping. So, I removed batteries and it continued to connect and drop repeatedly. Odd with no batteries
Rain gauge problem
Works fine but having problems with rain reading
Uses Imperial Units
This app is very basic. Even paying fifty quid a year to upgrade doesn’t give you as much as many other free apps. The default is US Imperial units and bizarrely you have to create an account to change this to the units used by everyone except USA. May be some use if I ever buy a compatible WX station but I am deleting it until that day arrives.
Overall accurate but the Wind is definitely not at all.
Diane
Love it Love it
This gives me all the weather days i need at my location not the days from some station miles away
Too difficult
It’s just too difficult to do almost anything on this app. So frustrating over and over.
Latest update
Hi Great app. Love it Unfortunately just getting a white screen since the latest update. Think it was this week
Low grade generic graphics
This app has low grade generic graphics, quite a bit of a bug issues, and what makes this weather station an app bottom tier it no longer’s work with Google Home devices
Looks Great But Needs Work
The app initially looks great but it could really use some work. The user interfacing is not very intuitive, making it easy to accidentally hide widgets from yourself, etc. “Drilling down” into data is also not intuitive. Also, your own weather stations should be visible from favorites. And you should be able to share your weather station via a private link (so you can share both indoor and outdoor data, historical data, etc.) AND still share current outdoor data publicly.
I liked it for me
Nothing more to say
Want stay connected
My
A pretty basic app
Pretty unhelpful app for a quick view of the stations weather. I have linked the station to wunderground weather and myPWS just to get a better reading format. In future, I would explore the app before buying the hardware as the app reflects the user experience.
White screen
Apps starts and then stops at “white screen” v4.4.4 and ios16.6
Long term review
Have been using this equipment and app for over two years, very reliable and accurate. I find myself turning into a weather geek with this thing 👍
Broken links
Broken links to help. Extremely hard to understand setup. No live help available
First impressions
No customization, super slow loading, does not support additional sensor(s) such as the WH31B. Have to use web which makes the app pointless to bother with.
No help
I normally use the web interface on my laptop but got a new phone. The iOS app works but I would like to filter charts like I do on the web. There is no help for this app and nothing on the support site to help me find out how to do this.
see true weather
the app is easy to use and shows actual weather all over. i can now easily check my cabin temp in real time . big deal in frozen alaska.
Stopped syncing
Worked for a year and now won’t sync no matter what I try
App stopped working this week
Please assist as app suddenly stopped working
