Only 2 recipes allowed
these developers used the title of an older app. point thought is they only allow 2 recipes uploaded. not enough to trial a week of meal prep to see if you want to pay 4.99 a month for their app. lame. waste of time.
Existing app features are great but room for improvement to be even better!
I love the fact that I can automatically generate recipes from online and it imports them, my favorite feature is the automatically generated shopping list from the recipes when added. Features I would like to see in the future: -ability to add folders/categories for recipes (so I can categorize them by breakfast/lunch/dinner, or cuisine, or difficulty level, or cost, etc.) -improved ability to manually edit the recipes once generated (especially adding new ingredients) -Going in tangent with that, a more user friendly format where I can manually enter my own recipes from my head rather than having to find a similar recipe online and then tweak it. -ability to share (and view) recipes within the app from/with other users
Way Too Slow
Can’t “send to” from a reel and takes WAY TOO LONG to paste a link and let app pull from insta!
Disappeared
Love it when it worked. Then last week I attempted to open to find a recipe and it wouldn’t accept login, email requests to reset password didn’t arrive. All my recipes gone. I hope the problem is temporary.
Great for my allergy/keto diet
I have many food allergies and sensitivities. Whisk has allowed me to plan meals using recipes that I find and tweak so I can use them. Then I can create plans and shopping lists. Very helpful!
Unreliable
The app has some issues with accuracy at times and doesn’t always save the recipe. It was usable, though, until a recent update and it deleted ALL of my recipes. They’re all gone and there has been no support response. I’m so upset that I lost everything and PAID for this app. I will never rely on it to keep my recipes again. That’s money down the drain and months of recipes that I’d still have if I just wrote them down like before.
Love - but it’s not working now!
I have the period version & I’ve been loading bunches of recipes. Unfortunately, it’s no longer loading any more! I’ve been trying for about 3 days & nothing saves.
It’s not working
Been using it a while and previously it’s a hit or miss whether the recipe actually saves which is okay since 20% of the time I have to do it twice. Currently none of my recipes save and I tried deleting and reinstalling without any luck. Annoying because I reverted back to saving recipes on notes. If you guys are charging a subscription, you should make sure it works.
Bug
All of my favorites suddenly disappeared, and I lost months of organization and saved content. I’m honestly so upset about it. Please fix it 🥹
A little trouble getting it to confirm my membership but great
this app is a real game changer. Easy to use and capture those recipes you’ve always wanted to. Would be great if they included a rating function but overall one i use every day
Worst App Ever
After 3 months into a year’s subscription, this app deleted all my saved recipes. Never again!
Super, wir warten auf die Einkaufsliste!!!
Bin echt zufrieden. Alle aktuellen Möglichkeiten funktionieren super. Ich wünsche mir jedoch endlich die Einkaufsliste und eine bessere und schöner Übersicht für den Kalender. Ich finde es sollte einfacher und übersichtlicher gestaltet werden. 💕
Bad for a paid app
It simply doesn’t work properly. It crashes constantly, which makes it very inconvenient, because you paste the recipe from instagram, but it crashes and doesn’t save it. So you have to keep repeating the process. If this wasn’t bad enough, I suddenly lost all my bookmark recipes. Now I have over 50 recipes, but can’t sort them. I’ll have to organize them all over again. Which would be fine, if it wasn’t a paid app.
Free trial keeps popping up
I like the application, but every time when I open it the screen for the free trial keeps popping up. Its very annoying! Also I couldn’t save YouTube videos recipe
Great for cooks
I’ve been using whisk since last October and it’s been great to save fun treats and recipes for the holidays. I have adhd so I can’t stand watching videos for the ingredients , love that this app summarizes the link and I have a step by step process, including grocery list. Shopping and meal planning has never been easier.
Premium doesn’t work
Subscribed to Monthly Whiskription through Apple. My account says Premium, but AI recipe imports still say ‘0 free recipes left’ and redirect me to upgrade. Don’t waste your time. I will be reaching out for a refund if this isn’t resolved today.
It’s Good, But
I love what it does. But I would love have the option to adjust for serving sizes that fit my family. One recipe has only 2 servings and one has 8. I know how to do the math but it would be nice for it to adjust for me. Also for you to put it into categories such as meat type or diet type. Y’all already have combining shopping list for all recipes needed in progress so I’m looking forward to that. I’m excited to see how y’all make this app better than it already is.
Can never upload anything
This is a paid app and it absolutely never works. It doesn’t upload the videos and you can’t even change the pictures at times. It just constantly does not work!
Glitchy
You have to close this app every time you add a recipe because if you try to add more than one, it just repeats the last recipe you added and adds it again. Too annoying.
Great app!
I loooove this app! I get most of my recipes from TikTok so I love that this makes it easy to save them all in one place and get written instructions. I also really like the grocery list feature
BEWARE OF THIS APP
UPDATE- AFTER CANCELLING RENEWAL OPTION WHISK COMPLETELY CUT ME OFF FROM USE FOR MY CURRENT SUBSCRIPTION. I’ve had this app for a year and get a fail at least 50% of the time using both Facebook and Instagram recipe links. I cancelled my subscription which expires in July 2026 and Whisk cut me off 2 months early.
Did not know lol
I did not know you had to take the recipes from social media and I thought the recipes just came with the app as of right now I don’t have any social media platforms so this app does not really work out for me seems it’d be a good app though so four stars
Issues with creating recipes
I really like the app but the recipe creation is very frustrating. It takes numerous attempts to actually get it to create. I have the same experience whether using links, copy and paste, or even typing it in manually. Because of this I will likely start looking for an alternative app.
Needs fixes
I love the idea of it. I was doing the free trial and ready to pay the subscription but I could not get one recipe to upload today. I tried all day from all different locations. It makes it all the way to the end and then doesn’t finish and never appears.
Must have tool
This is my go to app for recipes. I use it daily not only for new recipes but some of the old ones my mom use to make. The support is awesome as well. I was having trouble with it not loading recipes and they did an update the same day! This does everything I need from making a shopping list to step by step instructions. It’s a must have tool!
All data wiped w/latest update
I loved this app and had been using it for several months. Was on the premium subscription and was extremely happy. Until the latest update and all my data was wiped. I thought I had the wrong login so I tried another one and still came up with “start by saving your first recipe”. I reached out to support via email and no response. Extremely disappointed
Loving it so far!
This app is just what I was looking for! Can’t wait to add all my recipes I’ve liked. Hopefully in the future there will be an option to make categories or folders of different cuisines. I also really wish I could add the url from Facebook reels and a way to convert the measurements from say gram to ounce
Crashing and Inaccuracies
The app won’t keep me logged in long enough to let me use my recipes! It keeps having me log in over and over and I can’t use it anymore. I was really excited about this app and I was going to do the 1 year subscription, but I’m glad I didn’t. I noticed the recipe saved by the app isn’t accurate to the original recipe I put in… it will leave out ingredients or even substitute ingredients to something else. I had a recipe that had an optional glaze made from butter and cinnamon and the app replaced it with milk and powdered sugar.
Great, if it works
When it works, it's great. There is no help or support on the app. To get help, I have to go to Instagram and message them. They resolved the problem yesterday, and today I have the same problem: nothing loads. I am paying a monthly subscription fee. I am disappointed and frustrated.
It keeps creating the same recipe, and it’s the wrong one
See title. I uploaded five samples, and it generated the same Al Pastor taco recipe five times
Love it but I have recommendations
I I love that this app seamlessly takes recipes from videos on social media. It gives you a step-by-step breakdown as well as an ingredient list with checkbox. If I could make any recommendations, it would be to implement a folders option or at least a way to search for a recipe. I am adding recipes left and right and I’m worried it’s going to be difficult to find what I want when I go back. I also can’t figure out how to get the videos to directly transferred to the app with a share option. I have to copy and paste the link. Not sure if this is a user error or the app does not support this feature.
Poorly made
Sign up by email fails at the password step, as the user cannot access the confirm password field which is covered completely by the keyboard. Even a minimized text adjustment in settings does not permit password confirm field tp he visible
So much better than the other apps
No other recipe app can take a recipe video from instagram or TikTok and turn it into a real step by step recipe so flawlessly . It generates steps and an ingredient list even if the original description doesn’t have them. I’m stunned how good this is wow.. I tried other apps like recime but none of them comes even close
doesn’t work
I have really tried to like this app but it has way too many issues for REQUIRING a subscription. I tried many different recipes from different platforms and no matter what the “recipes” that were created from the video/websites were all so wrong. I had to spend time just fixing the mistakes. So many competitors to choose from instead. I suggest making it so you do not have to have a subscription, and offer a free base app! Will be deleting after requesting a refund.
Too expensive
Only gives you 3 free recipes then you have a monthly fee. Otherwise app is pretty perfect. I’d pay a one time fee but not monthly
So many great features
I have so many recipes saved on TikTok and Instagram but it’s hard to find the right one and get the cooking steps so I rarely cooked the recipes I saved. Whisk extracts all of the cooking steps and creates the recipe for you. You can then add it to a calendar so know what you’re going to make this week AND it pulls together a shopping list for you!??! Are you kidding! So helpful. Love it. I would give it 100 stars if I could.
Doesn’t work and not free
Jus downloaded it and got stuck behind a paywall to sign up for an annual or monthly subscription. No way to skip or opt out for the free version. I ended up doing the free trial. I tried an Instagram and TikTok link and nothing loaded past I would say 95%. Then when I closed out of the app and tried to open it again it had logged me out. I tried to sign back in and select restore purchases but it said it had no record of my purchase when I had just signed up for the free trial. I selected the annual option again and then I got a message from Apple saying I was already in a trial and it let me back in. But I was still unable to link any social media links to it. It just wouldn’t fully load after several minutes. I cancelled the trail and I’m deleting this useless app.
The free version only allows 2recipes
I am so sick of the monthly subscription model. If you download this app and do not want to pay every month or annually, you can only store three recipes. It makes it completely useless. I understand developers need to make money and while I don’t enjoy ads, I do put up with them for apps that I don’t pay for. This app doesn’t even give you that option. It’s very disappointing because I love the design and the concept behind this app, but I am not willing to add another subscription to my monthly budget. Why can’t we buy a lifetime subscription? I’m updating to add a star because the developers team is responsive to reviews. And they didn’t make the app economy the way it is. I still believe it would be better to offer a lifetime membership option, rather than only a subscription option.
The most simple and helpful app!!
I NEVER leave reviews but I just had to for this. This app is so helpful to actually transfer and use recipes from social media! It gives you all the nutrition facts and a grocery list AND is simple to use and see what recipes you have! I’m obsessed.

I tried importing the link from 2 different Facebook cooking videos, both popped up halfway through the “Download” and said unable. This was of course the free version. Might be their way of making you upgrade for the app to even work. Also no option for manually adding your own.
