Trying to cancel trial
Trying to make sure my trial is cancelled but there is no way to contact them. Emails bounce. Response to Developer: I don’t use Google. You’ve emailed me several times now and I’ve responded. Please stop. I’m sorry I ever tried to use this app.
Great app! Not worth the $50
The AI parsing is fantastic, but when I import a Google Doc I'd love to see attached images preserved and document attribution (e.g., author/creator) carried over automatically. Those details are especially important for family recipes. The free version will suffice for pulling in recipes from sites but then I’ll likely just pull those into AnyList which is my preferred recipe app.
Oh my god, please just let me import recipes.
I want an app that looks nice and will let me import and organize recipes. I do not want to have to go through a 20-page survey about my life goals, diet, and social media habits. A recipe app does not need to know those things. Two stars because it looks nice; only two stars because it needs to mind its business and stop pretending to be my life coach.
Fantastic except…
Update: to below - developer sent a message saying adding pdf and other file formats is in the works. It is needlessly time consuming to add a recipe file (.doc, .pdf, etc) stored on your windows pc to deglaze. The only way to do it is to open it on the pc and take a picture of the file on your monitor using your phone. Then add it to the app and it will convert the picture to a recipe. Hopefully, without errors…

App doesn’t work
I didn’t get a chance to try much of this app because it kept messing up. Fix the technical bugs and I might come back.
90% of the way there
This app is wonderful for organizing my recipes, planning meals, and finding new recipes. That being said, there are inconveniences I run into that stop this from being 5 stars. First, I should have the option in discovery and exploring to not see recipes that have a paywall. I already put up with features being paywalled by the app, but listing paywalled recipes makes it even more irritating. Second, I wish the automatic categories took more dietary restrictions into account. I have family members who have allergies and while I can manually make categories to get around it, I am limited on how many I get to make in the free tier. Not a showstopper, but it is an inconvenience.
Barely works
The app barely works, doesn’t come up with measurements on recipes processed from instagram and can’t find them when I upload screenshots of different ones.
No export means you cannot leave
I like the app, but your recipes should be your recipes, no export means I cannot ever leave.
Ideal for wanna-be chefs
I fancy myself a chef. But in all honesty, I own a business and I’m raising a child and I don’t have a much time to cook. That being said I’m always looking for new recipes and before Deglaze ended up with a mishmash of things saved in various places. Now I have a place where they’re all together and it’s so handy and while I am far from “chef” status, Deglaze helps me take steps toward it. Thank you!
Not as advertised.
I was under the impression that I could do a bunch of stuff for free, jokes on me I guess because I can’t even add anything without paying for it.
Very good app
Use X-ray mode to view just the actual recipe and “start cooking” to activate recipe mode so your phone doesn’t lock while you are cooking. Does a good job of pulling the actual recipe from lengthy blog posts, that’s my favorite part!
Doesn’t do what it says
I’ve tried to do recipes that are in the video or clearly labeled in pics or comments and it doesn’t work. Also on free mode it will count down your recipes even if it fails as an app to save them. Don’t waste your time or money until this app is more refined
Great app, just expensive now
Early adopter here🙋♂️ I’ve basically raved about this app to absolutely everyone I know who is remotely interested in cooking and even more to those who aren’t. I’d been wanting to find an app like this for so long and was shocked with the apps sleek design and the developer seemed like a sound bloke on Reddit. Given the apps success they are, understandably, switching from being totally free to a subscription model. Unfortunately I’m not in a position to be able to afford it or it’s a no brainer purchase. It would have been nice for the really early adopters that helped build the app to get offered a one-time purchase lifetime subscription as the yearly subscription is quite expensive. Regardless, I appreciate it’s a decent free version at least.
Absolutely love this app
Every time I think this app can’t get better, they add a feature or tweak something and bam, it’s better. I use it to import recipes from Instagram and the web (using the bookmarklet feature), make meal plans for the week, create shopping lists from those meal plans, and (of course) as a cooking companion.
“A FULLY FREE VERSION” IS A STRETCH… ER STRAIGHT UP LIE!
It’s “fully free” for 7 days then 50$ a year. I don’t care to pay for something once but a subscription for a cookbook that I add things to myself? No thanks!
Easy
I love this app. I gave recipe saved everywhere and I’m taking the time to save them all here. I just wish I could put them into the categories I want. Even with the filter it hard to find just bread or just breakfast or just appetizers I’m looking for. I want to be able to put the recipes I save into the folder u choose. Pretty please.
It was all great until the update
When I first got the app I loved how much it could do especially with the language support and scaling for a lot of my non-English recipes. The new update decided to make scaling for members only, which is a basic function that other recipe apps still have for free! $50 annual fee is way expensive than most recipe apps around and I can see how the future of this app will be and I think it’s time to switch to others :((

Was the best app ever until they introduced a subscription plan :( Now its priced way too high and it makes more sense to go with Paprika or another one-time fee app. My favorite feature (grocery lists) are now a pro feature!!! :( Limited to 20 recipes..... :(

AI for cookbook > app is fabulous
Update, they now have a paid upgrade, which is fine, but now you have to pay more to adjust recipes (they have an adjuster so you move it to half size and all ingredients will adjust, super nice). That’s the nicest part of not having a paper cookbook for this. But also I’m super supportive of them being able to make money now on it since it’s a good app….. I downloaded 6 of these apps to see what I liked. This is what I stuck with. - it’s free - no limits on number of recipes - the AI for taking a picture of a recipe and the app converting it to text is the best I’ve seen so far - great sorting and search function - great for families - I’m doing this as a Christmas gift. I’m putting in all my personal recipes and all my cookbooks, and my family can download the app and see my recipes. Unfortunately they have to be added to my “family”, which means they can edit my recipes and I can see theirs in my account. If they aren’t added to your family or household or whatever, they can’t lookup your recipes - can add pictures and custom tags - haven’t used the grocery list function but it looks great. You can share your list with other people in your household if they also have the app. - find new recipes from other people in app App is for iPhone and tablet, you can’t access on your computer. Additionally, you can’t print it. I would love a way to copy and paste it, or export it to a Google doc or another recipe app.

Amazing
I have wondered for years why there isn’t a better way to organize all my recipes besides the “recipe box” of our mother’s era. Well this is it! I am so excited about this app. I’ve spent so much time in the past two days transferring my saved, written and web based recipes. What an amazing tool. Best app ever.
Great until they brought in paid “Pro”
I loved this app until they went and made their previously free functions paid. It was great to finally find something to help me centralise all the recipes I find all over the place, organise into my own collections and scale and convert recipes to fit my family size. Now all these functions have to be paid to use them the way i do. So sick of apps doing this. If you are going to bring in a paid version, give it new added features but dont take away the previously free functions from the free version. Cant justify the now subscription fee for something that was free. After the half price offer ends next year, I will be deleting this app after converting our main meals back to printed versions. SO DISAPPOINTED. And their response to poor reviews is just to make excuses and only address what you can access on the VERY LIMITED free plan. Not the other features you use in an attempt to make themselves look better. I KNOW YOU HAVE A FREE PLAN, THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT EVERYTHING ELSE YOU HAVE REMOVED FROM IT THAT STOPS IT FROM “working well”
Love This! Just with it had nutrition info
I love this app! It’s super easy to use, save recipes to, beautifully elegant and amazing to cook with- best I’ve seen ever. Very aesthetically pleasing and super easy to use. I just wish it included nutrition info!! Im looking into other apps bc of that alone. I would highly prefer to use deglaze but loading every recipe into 2 different apps and juggling portions and such between them is a lot. If deglaze gets nutrition info, I would be a life time member! A partner fitness app that reads deglaze would also be phenomenal.
Great app
Brilliant but would like a few tweaks. Recipe app is very easy to navigate. I would like to be able to have a an inbuilt meal planner to sign different recipes to a calendar day and also the ability to edit a recipe that I have imported. Currently use Copymethat which has these functions. I do how've prefer the interface of this app.

It would be even better if the platform included a scaling function based on the main ingredient you have, allowing for more tailored and efficient usage.
No folders?
Not sure if I’m missing something but there seems to be no way to create folders to organise your recipes. You can search and apply a filter for ‘Course’ and ‘Type’ but to be honest, those are kind of useless compared to a folder system where I can have a custom, ordered list of whatever system I prefer. I have 200+ recipes and not being able to organise them renders the app pretty much unusable. The Pestle app isn’t as fluid and nice but it has the function so I’m gonna have to go with it until this feature is added.

Was a great app…
Was a great app, worked perfectly for importing recipes from all over and organizing them. All for free unlike all the other apps I’ve found. Now they decided to make it subscription based to do basically all the features that make this app great.
Easy to use
So for really happy but been using it for 1 week now. It’s 100% free with no limit on personal recipes. Yay. May update rating down the road as i use it more.
Metric conversion missing
I wish this had a metric-imperial conversion feature. I am in Europe and use a lot of American recipes, but want to be able to convert to metric

I have been using Deglaze for a while now and had an issue with my subscription. I reached out to customer support and not only did they fix it, they were fast and super nice. I know other apps like this are out there but I love that the experience I got with them was so reliable. I don’t think I’ll migrate to a different one. I also think the app is super clean and easy to use. 10/10 experience
Give it a miss - not free
While this app has been ‘in development’ and all the users contributed their content for the developers, it has been great. But now there is a Pro version with an annual subscription fee. I understand that they want to make their money but you can now only upload one recipe per week if you aren’t able to afford the annual subscription. People who go to the trouble of sourcing a recipe collation app are not going to be the type to save one recipe or less per week. It’s an incredibly miserly way to repay the people who’ve provided user content and experience so you could build this app. There could have been a more balanced approach re the number of recipes we could upload or a one off fixed fee rather than an already sizeable subscription that presumably will only rise annually.
Best Recipe app
After years of adapting and manually entering recipes from books, websites and especially social media, Deglazes brings it all together in one app. I’m keen for future updates around menu planning and favourites

Spend ages put recipes in this app & then went to use it & can’t log back in & no response to emails! Gutted!!
Super useful app
I’m in love with this app is extremely useful and easy to use. The only thing I would add is if you could export the recipes in a pdf and save them for when I don’t have signal. That’s the only reason why I’m not giving the 5⭐️, otherwise it would be 5++++
