What people like
- Helpful how-to cooking videos
- Auto-generates grocery lists
- Good meal planning tool
What they complain about
- Hard to cancel subscription
- No refunds for charges
- Subscription fees are annoying
Anyone can cook, when you the recipe! And tweek as desired!
All recipes I have made are hands down fabulous! Each week I choose a chef, Frankie & Jamie, are well, amazing! I look forward to the next chef. Defiantly worth the subscription price! Another word, if you get Tastemade channels by your cable provider it is GREAT to watch also……
Scam
Cancelled and still billed me
The Show vs the App
The Show is OUT OF THIS WORLD, AMAZING. The app gives me nothing in comparison. Hopefully we can have some chef crossover. I know you can do it!
Not ready yet
It’s ok. It has a lot of recipes (quantity), but not many good quality recipes. Really, who needs numerous recipes for scrambled eggs. One will do. Someone must be obsessed with salmon because there is an over abundance of uninteresting salmon recipes that quite frankly probably taste as boring as they read. This app has potential but it has a way to go. A little less redundancy and more substance would be a good start. Not subscription worthy.
Yum
This app really helps me figure out what’s for dinner AND get my grocery list together
Paid membership only
No info about that anywhere until you finish making your profile. Again 0 things you can do without spending money
Very difficult to find recipes
Purchased this APP to get recipes. Unfortunately, it’s very difficult to find the recipes. You can put in all the code words you want and literally get nothing.
Surprise
It’s nice to have a go to app to get quick recipes from with simple healthy ingredients. The only issue I have are the charge fees but I will continue to try it out before making the decision to purchase it.
Great for meal prep
I love it! Been using it to plan my week of meals and easily grocery shop. Good for when I’m cooking for my family!
Not actually free
No tastemade, a free trial is not the same as an app being free. At the very least have part of the app be free. I was excited to try this as a college student who likes cooking and meal planning but this is just bs!
Hog wild
Great experience 👍🏻🐍🐊🇺🇸⛳️🏁🧞♀️
Scam- the trial is a scam!
I also had the same issue as another reviewer. ( look up the reviews! )You try to cancel it but it didn’t fully cancel. I tried to get a refund and they wouldn’t allow it. I never used their app. It never helped me with anything. And they won’t refund it because they need money.
Outstanding
I’ve enjoyed the show from its inception. I’m so very glad that it is finally getting to the stage/platform it should be.
Locked behind a paywall
Greedy. Not interested in your short trial.
Best cooking app
I love this app it takes away all the guessing of what to make for the week for lunches and dinners and gives you a grocery list to get when you plan you meals out so easy
Not free
It doesn’t allow you to even try anything before setting up your card info to charge you in 7 days. You don’t have to give them your card to test drive a car, why should I for an app?
Love!
Loving this new app — perfect companion in the kitchen and the how-to videos are a game changer.
not worth it
it advertises as a free app but you need to enter your card information to see anything past the main screen. just false advertising to the max, don’t know how they have a rating of 4.7 because every review i’ve seen is 1 star.
Cool app
Love the videos that accompany the recipes to help explain the steps and the search function so I can quickly get inspiration based on what’s in my fridge
Not trustworthy
I was not impressed by the app., so I removed it and canceled the subscription before the free tryout ended. Image my surprise to find that they kept billing my credit card! Don’t trust this app.!
Shady billing
If I could give 0 stars I would. I signed up for a free trial but never used it. When I tried to cancel it was buried in a bunch of different clicks and took me forever to find the cancellation page. They billed me for a subscription without even sending a reminder email, and refuse to refund me. I’m sure their revenues are made by billing people in a sneaky way. Stay away from them, you’ll regret signing up.
Not worth it
Frustrated. I had a free trial for this app and thought I’d give it a try. After using it the first time, I knew it wasn’t worth it. You can’t cancel your subscription from the app, so you have to log in online. I thought I canceled right after the first time with the app, but clearly something happened where I didn’t. The subscription renewed and I asked for my money back. They said they do not provide any sort of refunds whether the app was or wasn’t used. They clearly need the money… stay away.
