Don’t be fooled …
Every time I read a great review of an app, my first question is how real is that review? Sadly, there are so many made-up/ sponsored/ artificial reviews that it is difficult to trust them. So, here goes my attempt to convince you that this is a truly great app - I’ve used Rever, Calimoto, Detect (or however they chose to spell it!), and a whole bunch of others too. None of them close - they are either far too US-centric, or lack the simplicity and reliability of Stegra. And then, in case I needed any more convincing, I emailed Stegra support to try and resolve a problem that was - it turned out - actually a connectivity issue with my phone, and, even though it was a Saturday evening, I got an answer (with screenshots!) to help me resolve it within an hour. So, don’t be fooled, this positive review is real!

Das Geld nicht wert
Das Abo ist für die erbracht Leistung viel zu teuer. Off Road ist die App wirklich nich schlecht, On Road sieht es ganz anders aus. App viel zu langsam bei der Routenberechnung. Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzungen werden zum Teil bis zu 400 m nach dem Schild geändert. Die Berechnung nach verlassen der Route dauert zu lange und ist einfach nur schlecht. Streckensperrungen temporär oder dauerhaft werden weder bei Planung nicht angezeigt. Das können zB. Kurviger oder Senic alles vielbesser.
Tet Italien
Bra generellt sett, men kartan följer inte med i gratisversionen. Vi körde söderifrån med 1200 GSA mot Via del Sal. Passet mellan Col Ardente till pass du Tanarello . Vilket var tet 2. En svår sträcka, tekniskt utmanande med tunga hojar. Tycker det borde framgå så man kan planera det bättre.
Best for finding unpaved
This is one of the only and the best app I have found for discovering unpaved roads for adventure riding. It is THE ONLY app I have found that will route you with gravel roads preferred. AMAZING level of fine tuning detail to the routing algorithm. Easy to tune the route if you want to tweak what it selects. Feature request please add a “drop a pin” shortcut to the CarPlay interface. (Similair to what OnX off road has) Would love to use that to mark a cool looking road I pass to check out later.
Kämpar med att försöka planera på iOS
Så fort jag försöker planera på en iOS enhet så blir det verkligt krångligt snabbt. Får nästan alltid gå till datorn för att kunna använda mus och tangentbordet. För att följa en rutt är det dock okej.
Bra för navigation men äter batteri
Svinskön app för att planera rutt, men den dränerar mitt batteri (iphone16) trots laddare på 2.4A ansluten.
Ist mir deutlich zu teuer
Habe eine Testroute erstellt, die wirklich interessant war im Gelände - aber der Preis ist mir leider deutlich zu teuer. Schade hätte ich gerne genutzt.
Tveksam helhet
Jättesmidigt att komma igång och få en rätt bra rutt med ett par klick. Men så fort man vill justera mindre bitar av sträckningen så börjar Stegra rita om delar som redan var bra. Algoritmen är så fokuserad på maximalt med kurvor att det blir absurt, varje liten avstickare 50m in på en bondgård ska den prompt rita upp eller en helt onödig avstickare in på en väg som slutar efter 100m. För mig slutar det med att jag antingen inte justerar något alls och löser det på plats, eller så skippar jag att använda Stegra helt och hållet. Ser nog inte att jag kommer fortsätta Stegra efter denna säsongen.

Every time I have to use the App I have to go through 20 of tutorials. Least intuitive App I’ve ever used.

Har precis kommit hem efter en tur från Sthlm ner till Öland. Sen vidare till Västkusten, Dalsland, Värmland å hemåt. Använt Stegra för att maximera grus. Helt fantastiskt. Har bara en fundering. Hur definieras traktorspår?
Planning mode is terrible
It could have been a great app, but the planning mode totally sucks. It is frustrating to use, illogical and too complicated. Also the map is really noisy, making it hard to find places.

Appen är nära att vara bra men är lite svårjobbad. Tex drar den igång navigering även när jag inte vill det. Störigt när det tar mitt fokus från körningen. Ogillar att den startar på automatik via CarPlay. Den har upprepade gånger guidad in mig på privata och avstängda vägar. Men. När det funkar är den bra.

Main option that I want does not work at all
When the camera on my iPhone finally broke from vibration, I decided to use it as a dedicated GPS. This meant having no SIM card, and relying on offline mapping. I have downloaded all the UK maps for this app, but when I try to plot a route home from the middle of nowhere, it does not work at all. The app does not respond at all. This is extremely frustrating since this is the entire reason I spent money on the subscription. Having all the proper UK green lanes mapped out is a nice feature though. Shame I cannot rely on this app for my needs

I’ve had the app for a few months and used it a couple of times. The routes it finds are great. But it doesn’t seem to be a particularly easy app to navigate in my opinion. Gives you the option to save a ride but you then can’t access it. It’s shows you the route but you can’t open it to share or re use which seems pointless if you have saved it. Also simple things like getting back to the home page isn’t straight forward. 🤷🏻♂️
It’s just wow.
These guys KNOW what they doing and I think this may be the best navi-app ever invented for seeing the world(in an other way), exploring and seek the adventures! Download it and just see it yourself! 🤝💪
What is going on
What is happening with Stegra. It has now started putting highways in route planning even when there are choices that would avoid them. This occurs in adventure mode and curvy. I thought these modes were supposed to avoid highways. Maybe you need an explicit selection for highways as what to avoid. This is now unusable.
Great fun, but…
This is a really fun app! It discovers routes that are amazing. However it eats trough my battery, much more than other navigation apps.
The only motorcycle navigation app you Will ever need.
Easy to use, and the only app i have found that lets you prioritize unpaved roads when planning a trip. Without local knowledge and in unknown territory, this app is the difference between success and failure if you like to ride gravel and find the sweetspots. I cannot recommend it enough.
Planning only
After using Stegra for the last 3 days i’ve unfortunately cancelled my subscription. The app has got a great potential in the future, but right now, the user interface is deeply annoying when trying to use it as navigation. I therefor would recommend this app for planning your trip only. The navigation has too many bugs and.

Ruttberäkning
Tjena Har nu kört med appen ett tag och det finns egentligen bara en grej jag inte fattar. Var i Åmål i höstas och höll på och labbade lite med olika ruttvarianter. Raka vägen hem blev 36 mil, men grus blev 91 mil. Zoomade in på grusrutten och då ser man att den gör en massa små olika extrasvängar längs med vägen och gör den extremt onödigt lång. Då kom jag tillbaks till tanken att den automatiskt borde rutta så kort som möjligt men med två reglage eller inställningar där man kan öka längden på rutten om man tycker att den blir för kort och en inställning där man kan öka respektive minska procentdelen grus. Bara en tanke. Mvh Henke

Excellent! Stegra made me do it… More and more new signs saying no motor traffic allowed so for 5 star, a possibility to report in new signs and obstacles would be great. Perfect if pictures could be added and comments to acknowledge or challenge the report.
