Latest upgrade has forced Ad’s which are introducing Spam onto my computer
AOL has been inserting Ad’s between emails, but you could delete them. Now with the latest upgrade you cannot delete them and some of the ad’s are loaded with spam that locks up the page and can’t be removed! An absolute nightmare. I can’t afford to deal with a company that compromises the security of my computer. So I have no choice but to close my AOL account and find a legitimate company.
IPAD
Have used this app for years on my IPAD, always good, always worked. Today, it tells me that I need to upgrade to ISO17.. on my IPhone, I am using an IPad, it has the Latest updates for IPads, so now my AOL doesn’t work! So, guess time to delete it from the IPad I use daily…
AOL will not allow me to send a mere 10 page document.
It is unconscionable to cause a 10 page simple written document to need to be separated and sent in separate bundles!

My highest update available on my iPad is 15.8. Therefore, I cannot use my iPad to receive my mail. Help!
Updates are great and all
And, With one every few minutes, I can feel current whatever I do. It’s just that I can’t get started on doing what I wanna do cuz there’s an update happening. Nuisance? Probably too strong a word, right? I just hate to criticize people trying to do excellent work. And it does get in my way a bit. That’s all. The Hoffmeisterbrau P.S. It’s actually a nuisance. I’d really like to get some work done. And I’m waiting on another update to complete. When do we get to the good part? Just a rotten nuisance. Sorry that’s just what it is. I’m very upset right now that I need to upgrade my phone in order to get my AOL mail that I’ve been able to get for many years unfortunately I have an iPhone 7 and I’m sure that there are many people out there who use AOL who also have a phone that’s not upgraded I’m hoping for some reason that you AOL will accommodate all your customers who do not have a 17+ iPhone in order to have a AOLOn their phones I think and I’m asking nicely please to restore the old version from many of us since we do pay for protection on our computers thank you so much and please continue to give us the best service possibleA loyal customer JUSTKKAUZE@AOL

They decided to do an update without any notice that prevents people using 5the generation iPad users from retrieving their mail.

Tops , No crushing , no freezing , No prolonged loading , No unnecessary deletion , Above all does not bother U for password frequently Especially when u don't Need that botheration , Hope improves for better N does not degrade like Other apps , So far soo good , In short well content , Is not complicit to Microsoft word Hence 4 stars

Every time I try to get onto the site, all I can get is a blue screen asking me to update my app. But when I try to, it does nothing!
Different App Icon Color Options?
Enjoying your news app & the timely notifications it brings me every day. Would it be possible to have different app icon color options within your settings menu? I'm not loving your new bright yellow/black app icon when my notifications pop up. I'd love the option to switch it back to AOL's classic blue color- Thanks! 👍🏻
Forced “news” and ads
I love the browser version for AOL Mail, but the app is not a good experience. The Mail section itself is fine, but every time you open it an ad appears in your inbox for random dating sites and AI. On top of that, you can’t seem to get rid of the news tab, or at least have the app open onto your inbox automatically without paying for some kind of premium upgrade. I don’t want to open the app and be bombarded with right wing articles from The Express every time I want to read my emails. I’ll stick to using the browser version.

I am blocked from aol mail because I cannot get the aol application. It’s a password problem. I opened the account over 30 years ago with an old email address. I cannot remember password. Tried everything, including waiting days to try again because security makes me wait. Don’t understand problem. Please help !!
AOL customer for more than 20 years
I’m fine with all the news and weather info, but hate all the ads-especially those in the middle of my emails!!!
App presents news etc before emails
AOL is for emails but if I use the app, I have to look at the news first. I used to have access via the email app on my phone but then I was forced onto the AOL app, which is far less convenient.
New Yellow Colour
The new yellow colour is ugly AND it’s distracting that it opens the app on the ‘home’ news tab. (if I wanted news from AOL I’d search for it)

Super frustrating because my iPad is too old to update to iOS 17 and this is a simple app and should work with the older iOS
New format
I really hate the new format. The old one worked just fine and now you’ve changed it. 🤦♀️ Also every nickname I use says it is already taken - no matter how weird a combination I use.
Layout good, function uneven
Reasonably organized. However, it frequently suddenly won’t open some emails and I have to Google AOL and go on the main site that way to get my email. Not helpful! Also prefer to access all email in one place through Apple Mail.
AOL App crashes after 2 minutes
I have been using the app on an iPhone 12 to read and send emails etc but after 2 or so minutes the app closes down and I have to reopen it. This has been the case for over 12 months and still continues with the new AOL App as at 20th of December 2022 Could something be done to rectify it please
LOVE AOL
I’ve been a loyal user/fan of AOL for more than 20 years. The stories are interesting, concise & factual and my mail is equally interesting to me.
No longer supported
I have had AOL since 1994 and now it is no longer supported on Apple devices under iOS 17. No wonder everyone I know has stopped using it.
Pictures and Videos
Tried to send videos (1.5 minutes). Kept getting over 25mb warning and shut down. Went back to old AOL on IOS and same videos were compressed and were sent and received OK. Does this mean I won’t be able to send email videos any more without a lot of screwing around. 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨

It sucks having to sign on ( log in) several times a day , on all devices , leave it signed on for a least a week
