Terrible customer service
I got the free trial with a hunters Ed course and then couldn’t ever figure out how to cancel it. When I reached out for help they didn’t help at all and there was never any way to actually speak to someone real. I couldn’t ever get a refund for my year subscription that I didn’t want in the first place and have never used. I’ll probably get charged next year too because it’s impossible to cancel if you didn’t sign up directly through the app.
Latest update…
Kudos to the latest update, now you get full parcel data on the mobile app before the update, you’d get for example only the street address and not the city or town

I haven’t been able to see property lines or owners for about 4 months now

I have recently dealt with several trespassers that claim it’s ok to hunt on my private land. They state they know me when talking to me (not knowing it’s me they are speaking with). I also started to receive a lot of unsolicited phone calls asking to use my farm for hunting. All claim it’s from this app. Basically this app takes your personal information and sells it via a subscription to hunters. They say it’s ok because it’s “public information” they pull the information from the same place a realtor would. I have submitted complaints everywhere I can. I think it’s wild they can sell my personal information.
Maps
It would be helpful if you could select the latest map after the leaves fall off the trees in addition to the latest map. Often there are sites that have features that you would note that get obscured by the tree canopy. Another good feature would be if you could select a marker (treestand, parking lot) and the cursor would indicate if you were headed in that direction—sometimes it’s tough to navigate because it zooms in and you have to zoom out manually to see where you need to go.
Not the one
This app works just fine for wind and weather but it’s Run predictor is not worth putting your faith in. You can go to bed with the next morning being labeled peak and 99% and wake up six hours later and Peak is now a week and a half in the future. And your buck movement is now 60% and the weather didn’t change at all

Great app overall, hunt prediction is always relatively accurate and has good property/public land maps. The only complaint I have is it’s very glitchy at times and can get pretty frustrating. I’d recommend having OnX downloaded in case it crashes at a bad time lol
Having my doubts
Just got the elite version and I can pull up the live radar but nothing happens. Just blank map. And the social media aspect can’t like or comment. Hoping it’s just bugs. But there’s no way to contact anyone.just frequently asked questions tabs. So here I am telling someone hoping it gets fixed or I’ll take my hard earned money elsewhere.

The hunt cast predictions are ok. They don’t line up with what I’m seeing on my cameras. So for some other areas you may have better luck but for me I don’t think it’s worth paying money for cause it doesn’t element the need for anything. I would say just get onX if you’re gonna get any hunting apps.

This year I am opting out of the subscription. I did enjoy the app when I did subscribe to it last year. I can’t justify that kind of money.
5 issues, with hopefully constructive input.
1) Performance degradation once I have a few markers and paths at a hunt location. The map starts glitching really bad. Needs serious performance improvement. 2) When recording a walking track, it drops often and loses the recording. Other GPS map apps don’t do that. Needs to be fixed. 3) Over reliance on cell signal, the app goes blank and unresponsive when cell signal is poor/interrupted, it should do better data caching, the app content shouldn’t go “blank” so to speak. 4) I can only speak for whitetails, but the HuntCast algorithm doesn’t take strong wind and heavy inclement weather into consideration, it should factor that in to decrease the probability during those periods. 5) Should offer more comparable level of content to Canada. I understand the Canadian population and market share is much less, but the hunting culture is strong in Canada and also many travel annually from the States to hunt in Canada. We are right next door after all! P.S. how can I find out what is in each update? The descriptions for all the updates are still the same as it 2021-01-31. Thanks!

1 problem
The app looks great and I hope I can use it in the future. But can you please add Canadian provinces (specifically Alberta).

I can never look at hunt cast, when I need it it never works, any day I’m not planning on going out it works fine, anytime I really need it. Won’t load.

This is a good app It would be awesome if we could share saved locations with buddies New stands, blinds, deer sign etc.
It's crap.
The old version was a lot better. Bring back the fishing side, colour base map, and add the ability to add and save tracks/trails to the map then this will be the ultimate outdoor app.

I signed up on the free trial, that same day I canceled my trial because the app wasn’t what I needed. A day later they charged me $119 plus the tax…. These people are sneaky… they WILL CHARGE you. Even if you cancel the free subscription
Old layout better
I really liked the old layout. The new one is much less easy to use. I much prefer the old one. It would be great if it was reset to the old one.

Horrible customer service paid for elite and never received access.
I purchased one month of the elite access on my iPhone through my Apple account. For three days, I have not been able to get adequate customer support or access the app. When I contacted customer support by email they gave me pro access which is less than what I paid for. They said the problem was with Apple. Contacted Apple, and they said the problem was with Hunt wise. I am thoroughly disgusted, do not waste your time or money with these people.
Customer service is awful
My credit card was charged for renewal, and then charge again 9 times. Thankfully my card company caught it and declined it. But now the app doesn’t work. I canceled the service and received an email stating I had elite services for a year, but today I tried to use it and it doesn’t work. I have tried several times to email them with no response from them. Reviewing the reviews I would say they have a problem that started recently. If I don’t hear from them by Jan 13 I will contact Michigan AG office.

Without a doubt changes the game. All the interactive features helps me plan all my hunts and stay organized.
Expensive app
Had it for a whole year was expecting it to get better not worse. All they did was put restrictions on stuff that I already got in the past and lost it so why would I renew my subscription?😡
