This game will only allow you to play so far before you are stuck because of the extremely needy people you have to babysit. 100% P2W SLOP. But hey, don't take my word for it play until you make it to about 6 upgrades on your town. You'll see it's garbage.

My game stopped working
Its a good game all around, challenging, enthralling and fun. But unfortunately my game wont load pass 35% and I cant play anymore, hopefully the devs see this and can fix it but until then.
35% loading screen issue even still after the patch.
This app has been a pain to try and get working even after multiple work around options and the devs putting out the patch for stuck screen.
Request to Add Russian Language Support to Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice
Dear Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice Development Team, I am a big fan of Frostpunk and was very happy to find the mobile version, Frostpunk: Beyond the Ice, on iPhone. Unfortunately, I noticed that the game currently does not support the Russian language. I would really appreciate it if you could consider adding Russian localization in a future update. There is a large Russian-speaking community of Frostpunk fans, and having Russian subtitles and interface would make the game much more accessible to these players. The story, events, laws, and descriptions are an important part of the Frostpunk experience, so understanding them fully is very important. I would personally be very happy to continue playing and recommending the game if Russian localization becomes available. Please consider adding Russian language support in a future update. One star because We need Spanish version please
Game is good
Game is surprisingly good and it holds up well compared to the PC version. Has the tech tree, the law tree and expeditions which gives depth and variety as well as some longevity. I spent a couple bucks to get started on storage. My only gripes: 1. Game is surpisingly easier with surplus of resources (at least about 3-4 hours in) which deviates from PC version that is much hardcore which leads me to my second gripe which is.. 2. You cannot fail. This is the sole mission of this game on the PC version. You can essentially fail with poor law management, city layout, and resource management. Its funny when i open the game (or let it run for a while), be at 0 coal, citizens freezing and the game not ending. Difficulty slider and hardcore mode is the bread and butter of this game, which they shouldnt have taken out. 3. There are plenty of citizen requests in this game, which on paper is good. But it is way too many. I understand the game needs some sort of engagement for mobile gamers which are vastly different from PC gamers but still, it is way too much and i find myself constantly spamming crafts and fulfilling citizen requests which becomes a bit of a chore (akin to something like cookie clicker). Overall its a good game just needs some more polish and a bit of the PC formula to bring back what essentially makes Frostpunk what it is, a hardcore survival city sim.
That’s messed up
Just started playing today and I get a pop up saying buy this for only 99 cents and they charged my card $14.68 outrageous! Disappointing and disgusting practice.

Problems
I love this game! However, it suddenly won’t load. It goes to about 35% and just stops. I’m missing daily rewards. My city has over 900 residents and lots of upgrades on buildings. I’ve restarted my iPad and am afraid to delete and Reinstall because I don’t want to lose my progress.
Sad
If it was possible to ruin a great game, the developers managed to do it. It’s packed with monetization schemes, like match-3 mechanics, that completely destroy the experience. They’ve turned the game into a soulless money-making machine.

I originally got this game right on release and I didn’t really like it, however, returning I have realized truly how original and engaging the game is, thank you!
Game dose not work
When I open the game it asks for me to allow it to have notifications when I try to play it dose not work when I try to do the save thing it says it’s not available this game is worse then anything I have ever played all I get to see is the loading screen. Yes I have waited for it to load this is the second day I have tryed this is not a review this is a warning to not play
Great potential
Playing this game for about 3 months, the graphics and a general idea are probably the best of this game However looks like developers stopped further investment in this game, lack of social game such as clans, team missions etc. few bugs that exist for a long time without been addressed such as cemetery that once it full nothing can be done, or rapid rails that has no real purpose I hope to see some further development of this game

Please add Russian language support. The game is amazing, but it’s hard to fully enjoy it without understanding the text and story. There are many Russian-speaking players who would really appreciate a proper translation. Thank you!

Considering the first move is a balance and game flow adjustment, this is loooomnnnnggg overdue and a little too late tbh...nice try but start again guys

Boring and hard to see buildings
The layout makes it hard to locate buildings. Not a deal breaker in itself, but the game is super boring. Built a few buildings, then nothing else can be done. The game pointer (finger) continually points at the coal mine, but there’s no action to be taken. Download this one for a frustrating experience in futility!!!

Two stars for the art work and atmosphere
Great start but it goes downhill very quickly. Poorly designed, UI is a nightmare very difficult to play on a phone, little to no information on what some things do, missions take you off in directions that aren’t helpful and are designed to make you spend very rare resources so you have pay money or GRIND relentlessly for days to get a single step further. The pressure to pay is real! And what you get for the money is very poor and doesn’t last.

I will forever love this game. I played on the pc version and couldn’t put it down until I beat it, I bought the board game version to play with friends and now I’m playing this since I don’t have a computer anymore. Much love, super balanced game chefs kiss. ❤️

Ok city builder game similar to original
All female NPS are clean sexualised AI girls while all men are ugly old hobos. Kinda weird especially since it’s 2024. Plz do better
Doesn’t feel lore accurate
Why is there dodos and argentavises? Doesn’t feel accurate to the lore. And why do people need sandwiches to keep warm? And why does a workshop make sandwiches? Why does it need wood to make a sandwich? Kinda kills the immersion
it’s okay
This game introduced me to trying out Frostpunk on PC because I know how mobile games are when it comes to porting it from PC to mobile and I can say, you could’ve made the game exactly like it is on PC but it’s not, and that’s how it is with ported mobile games and a big example of this is Age of Empires. The game has a lot of micro transactions and passes to speed up your progress and it’s like any other City Building/RTS game which is a massive shame. One thing i absolutely hate is the “Shop” UI and the other golden buttons next to it which can’t go away and take up the screen space, you could allow us to collapse it. I give it 3 stars for the visuals and graphics, though you should improve the disasters and heavy weather situations because i can’t tell the difference sometimes.

The game mechanics seem mostly the same from the original but it has twisted everything into a micro transaction mobile game. Would rather pay one time upfront.

The game is good but it’s requiring you to take multiple actions every second of playing. There’s hardly a moment where I can just sit back and let it run. The game needs to incorporate more idle elements that can allow players to sit back and let the city grow/play out without having to tap and work every second.
