Can’t get past the start up screen
On my iPhone 14 Pro, running the latest iOS, the game hangs on the black startup screen with studio logos. I’ve tried uninstalling / reinstalling with no luck.
Lost all progress
I usually play on my phone but went to play on my iPad and lost all progress and it replaced it on my iPhone too. Is there a way to fix this?
Good concept but unbelievably greedy devs
I don’t usually write reviews but this one is particularly ridiculous. Loved playing the free section of the game(the TUTORIAL.) before learning that you have to spend nine American dollars to unlock the full experience. The funny part is that it doesn’t even do that for you, you just get the “campaign” and other things are still locked behind paywalls. For a fairly simple and non challenging mobile game that is just beyond asinine.
Fun but very hard
In skirmish I can’t make it past 25 or so as the disasters seem mathematically impossible to overcome.

Better before you buy
This game seems like it should be interesting, but what you discover when you pay to unlock longer games is that the tribute thresholds are based almost entirely on your production output. So however well you are doing makes no difference once the game rescales the numbers on the next tribute, in fact it just gives you less tolerance for bad luck. Game feels completely pointless when you realize your build, your luck, and your strategy (or lack thereof), has no effect on the outcome.

Fine but…
There’s a good game in here somewhere but there’s so many small issues and annoyances that really take away from the game. I think the developer has a good idea with mixing up what the requirements are for completing a region but some of the time based ones I think need adjustment. Some of the “extra” region levels have different controls that are truly infuriating to use (it seems like the usual “island” region). The cards that come from beating a region could be more interesting and useful than just the fairly uninspiring “plus one resource minus another”. I mostly like this game but it’s a solid B-, C+ but I really believe there’s an A++ game hiding in it if the developer cleaned up and tweaked the details.
Addicting, atmospheric, and without micro transactions!
So awesome to find a good, real game on the App Store whose premise is not annoying you with waits so you purchase more gems. Plays a little like Civ. Very fun.
Frozen
Game sits on initial splash screen indefinitely. No indication of loading. My phone is compatible, according to the store. I reinstalled, rebooted the phone, etc. just a black screen with the developers logo.
Could Be So Fun
This game is super fun but one add on would make it even better. I didn’t pay for the game yet and I still enjoy playing all of the levels you have to offer. I just wish there was an endless mode type of thing. It would be where there are no winning goals and you keep playing until you die of no supplies of other reasons. I do not like it how you make such a good town and then it disappears because I reached a certain goal. If you add this feature, this would push me over the edge and probably make me purchase the full game.
why？
The Church can already resolve the plague via blessings, so why is there an option to manually click on plague tiles and spend 15 Faith each to remove them? This is a complete waste of Faith and makes it impossible to pass the level. Besides, aren't disasters like the plague just set up to prevent players from winning? This is some truly nonsensical game design.
Great game but please fix the save system
Great game, i really enjoy it. However there is a major issue with the save system. Every time I quit the game I lose my progress.
Satisfying & cute
So fun!!! My absolute favorite little cute game that still makes me use a little of my brain and is just SO satisfying. Love Aldric, the little Jawa-like game logo guy. His little beep-boop voice makes me laugh and the tutorial for the game (which Aldric facilitates) has been super helpful and, again, satisfying. Highly recommend 😂
I want to like it; however…
Update: My original review stands. After many updates, I paid for the game… against my better judgement and my own review. The unlocked version is the same horrible mess. The only way to have fun is to create a custom game and shut off everything that makes it suck. Then, you are just playing a bad sim game. Surely, there can be a balance between ridiculously easy and game wrecking devastation via all the random events. Original review: I’ve resisted uninstalling this game for a while. I really want to like it. I even want to find a reason to buy the full game. Unfortunately, every skirmish I play in the free version starts with impossible terrain options, extreme events, and then a tribute in 10 turns that there is no way to pay. I’ve completed the tutorials and understand the strategy. I am fully onboard to accept a challenge. However, repeatedly starting new games just trying to get a favorable seed so I can hope to win a single game has finally gotten too frustrating to continue. I can’t pay for a game hoping that it will magically make the game playable. Or that the unlocked campaign will be any different than the frustrating skirmish experience. Sadly, I have to walk away from what appears to be a game on the cusp of being fun.
Void Ring Void Ring Where for art thou Void Ring
Challenging game, but some of the puzzles feel downright impossible. I have been stuck on Void Ring in the most recent update for the longest time - is this puzzle even possible to complete? I feel like I need just like 2 more turns of headway and then I can make progress (maybe)
Unwinnable
This game is made to lose. I can’t even get thru the tutorial. “Challenge” is one thing, non-stop stumbling blocks is another. If the game had options for difficulty I would try an easier setting but it’s best that I just delete it. Plus, the update info in not written in English. Nor any language that I recognize. Why would they do that?

Download from App Store free but to play the game you have to buy the base game for £6.99 what a rip off. Should be £6.99 in the App Store at least that way it wouldn’t feel like a scam.
Overall Fun, Some Bugs
I really enjoy this game it’s definitely worth $5 I love that y’all added more puzzles, different factions, a weekly challenge, and of course more puzzles 😌! The puzzles are my favorite part. I like that there’s a wide range of difficulties; the hardest ones are actually very challenging (still stumped by two but I will keep trying!). I have a suggestion- when Terraforming, it’d be great if there was a chance of having rocks, trees, fish, or etc in the space rather than always being blank. There are some bugs. Currently the two that are most annoying: the Compendium’s inaccuracies, most (maybe all, didn’t check every one) of the upgraded structures show the same yield as the original one. Ex: the Camp, Mansion, & Castle all show a yield of 1👤 1⚙️ (1 person, 1 gear). This doesn’t affect the values in gameplay as far as I’ve seen, but it makes the Compendium for any upgraded structure pretty useless for me. It used to list accurate yield info. The other: in the Northsfolk faction both the Food Cellar & Runestone deposit structures deplete 4 of the deposited resource per day (rather than 2/day like all the others, across all factions), even tho the yield is still 3/day (or 6/day when filled at least 50%). This makes it barely worth it to use either of these two deposit structures, especially since it means the Food Cellar & Runestone need to be filled twice as often as the others (which is already tedious even when the resources deplete at 2/day). I’m assuming this was not intentional
Relatively Boring
Mechanics are clunky. Conquest maps feel redundant. Turned base matches feel pointless. Felt like a waste of money.
Fun game but hate how it tells me I went in debt when I have all + on all resources
Game is fun but I’ll be playing everything is fine then boom the kings says I’m in debt and my game ends
Pretty awesome
The only complaint I have is that the game refreshes when I swipe it into the background. So I have to go through the main menu a lot if I’m checking texts or trying to play in random quick bites during work. Might not even be an issue with the game so I still wanted to leave 5 stars. The game deserves it.
Does not support control controllers proper
RB doesn’t work. Also, it doesn’t sync my game process progress with iCloud. I’m out traveling right now and I have to start over the game like a newbie.
Great but confused
Just paid for the game and mind you I never pay for games. This one is challenging but as soon as I paid I notice there were additional section locked to pay for. Paying for the game should unlock it all. I feel kind of swindled. Please unlock for game buyers and make different purchase structure or make it more clear expansions are not included. Thanks. Still a great game. Will keep playing.
Way to hard
I love strategy games and after playing the tutorial I thought I would love this game. However after buying it it became clear the campaign and conquest were more frustrating than enjoyable. I wish you could utilize explorers much earlier. Otherwise your only defense from the barbarians is towers which you have to build while simultaneously housing, feeding people, fulfilling the tributes and other random challenges that demolish your supplies. It’s unfortunate because this game had such potential
Interesting game, but frustrating at times
I prefer to play on the conquest mode, but I’m finding it unnecessarily difficult. I have the ai mode on “forgiving”, and it’s anything but forgiving. I can’t get even get more than a couple houses, farms, and maybe a church built before explorers come and destroy it all. Needless to say I’m very frustrated, and wishing I never spent my money on the game. Nevertheless, it’s an interesting game, and I’m sure other people would love it. And to those who might read this and say, “well just build guard towers”…I can’t play long enough to get the resources I need to build said towers before my town gets raided 😭. It’s so frustrating honestly. If there’s any way I could get a refund, I would definitely like one.
Good game
Good game I haven’t bought the DLC but still pretty good game. I just wish it was a little bit cheaper the DLC. I’d probably buy it then.
False Advertisement
If you advertise the game as free then make it free. I can’t even play the game because you still have to ‘purchase’ the full game after downloading it. It’s false advertising and a flat out lie. This is not a free game. Update Developer emailed about how is in the bottom of the description that 99% of the public don’t see it but the ads that I am forced to watch about the game still says free free free so my complaint stands False advertisement.
Tutorial
I havnt completed the tutorial but it seems really fun and reminds me a lot of settlers of catan.

Got an hour of fun out of the tutorial and then realized you have to pay for the base game.
Not quite there
It’s a nice idea, but is functionally a turn-based game done as real-time-with-pause for no benefit. Makes trying to play well slow and fiddly, as you have to keep an eye out for when to pause. This is exacerbated by the difficulty. The campaign is a neat idea but a proper challenge given the RNG for layout, mission goals and events. So you can easily lose a run by bad luck (hey, it’s a roguelike!) then it’s a faff getting back that far again. As of May 2025, would recommend you at least wait for a few balance patches.

I never buy things on my phone. I paid for the full game on this, it’s *so* relaxing. Like CIV without the complexity
Delayed Paywall
Played over an hour of tutorial just to find out the majority of features and main game is paywalled.
Great game, but a bit disappointed
Played this game a ton before some of the most recent updates, was pretty disappointed to see that some of the new content is now behind a second paywall after already purchasing the game. Should I expect that if more things are added that I would need to pay for that as well? Again great game, I really enjoy it and had been looking forward to the updates.
Must buy full game to play
Seems like it would be a really cool game if you were allowed to actually build anything without paying for the full game
Please fix
Please fix the ‘Fleet Of Foot’ perk, when viewing an unexplored tile, it clearly says it will take 2 days for a tile to be explored (after purchasing the upgrade) yet when you click upgrade, the time shoots back up to 4… lost many games because of this, making a ‘final’ upgrade essentially pointless. Please fix! Loving the game despite this

Fantastic game with recent major bug
Love this game and can’t get enough of it! After working through everything else, I am now onto the puzzles. The problem is that the game keeps freezing, and isn’t resolved by restarting the app or any other troubleshooting Ive tried.
Barbarians
Barbarian defeat counter is off. Defeated many but the count is still 0. Can’t pass the game.
So much promise. Not there yet.
Such a fresh yet nostalgic game. Adorable graphics. Decent UI. Needs better balancing. Needs deeper gameplay as it is currently too simple.
A lot of fun
I’ve played this game for a lot of hours. It’s been a fantastic game and I’m happy to see the updates make it more complex. I would highly recommend it.
Glitched and forces me to surrender
In the campaign mode there are several larger regions you tackle one at a time. Each region is subdivided into a few separate missions. Once you’ve completed all but one of the missions, the region is complete. If you fail even one of those missions you fail the whole region, even if you successfully completed other missions. I’m fairly far into the campaign. I partly completed a mission and came back to finish it today. One of the objectives is to defeat barbarians. However the counter is stuck at 8/10 no matter how many more I kill. This means it impossible to complete the mission and therefore the whole region is a fail. This in itself is frustrating, but it means I just can’t be bothered to play this game now, because I can’t trust that the time and energy I sink into it won’t go to waste because of another glitch like this occurring.
Game not loading
I was enjoying the game for about an hour then went off to go text my friend on another app. Then when I went to go back to the game it reloaded, however since then it’s been stuck on the loading screen. I’m not sure if it’s a bug but I’ve tried redownloading the game and closing it yet it seems to be permanently stuck on the loading screen. Any way to fix this? Edit: The problem seemed to have resolved itself as the updates came by. Honestly this game is so fun and the free content within it is enjoyable, I would’ve given a 5 star but I feel that that opinion is only reserved for people who have truly experienced the full game. If you want you should definitely buy the full game, it also helps out the developers a bunch. Or if you can’t like me, then the free content is definitely worthwhile. Hope to see this game rise in popularity <3
Forced Adverts
Great overall game; definitely warrants a higher rating, but forcing ads every 60 seconds after 8 levels is unpleasant and unbearable. It’s a shame, because I really liked this game and it’s rare that I return to devs that do this.
Bugged but a lot of Potential
Great idea, style however my biggest gripe is that you cannot play longer than 5 mins without it bugging out by not letting you build anything and days not progressing which then after closing the game and re launching it the save data either returns the same as you left it or its reverted to 10 mins ago. Shame how buggy it is but definitely will be great fun when fixed.
