Absolutely amazing
I’ve only played this game for two settlements one on casual and one on normal, only suggestion I have is making the new civilizations you built able to be like crusader kings and able to interact with each other. Big undertaking but good idea no?
Paid three dollars and all I got was a half dollar game
Great campaign for introducing the controls and what to expect but for crying out loud, I paid my good hard earned money just for this to be “paid to play” with DLC Add-ons. I’d rather spend a little bit more money and get the whole thing without the let down of “oh I found a really great done game, can’t wait to see what’s next” THEN BOOM RIGHT IN YOUR FACE A PAYWALL TO CONTINUE THE GAME.
A fun post-apocalyptic game!
I really think that lots of people should play after Inc, because it’s a fun apocalypse game that you do not need to spend hours on for one tomato to grow! It’s a fast pace kinda easy game to play that is fun for all ages! So in conclusion the game is very fun for all ages and I think lots of people should enjoy this fun game!
Beware
First off, great game. Very fun and the mechanics are easy to learn. I say beware because your payment gets you 8 levels out of the 58 so far. Then they want $7-15 per 10 levels after that as a “DLC”. I must have missed where I paid for 1/8 of the game (which is really just the tutorial) and the other 7/8 would be future charges. I don’t mind supporting developers but the total cost could run close to a full game on the Xbox, which is crazy. I also feel cheated and disappointed from a developer that I’ve enjoyed in the past.
Ok BUT
It was a good game but way shorter than it made out, then the rest of the game was behind MUCH more expensive DLC than the base game and subscriptions. If it was the stated price for a longer game then I would have given a much higher rating or if the DLC was a reasonable price then I might have bought it but it felt like I just got excited about a good game for it to be cut short and hidden behind expensive paywalls.

Bait-and-Switch
You pay to get the base game, but what you receive is a hollowed out shell. There are about 8 levels, which I finished in two days. No free play, no exploration mode. Once you’ve beat those levels you hit a pay wall. You can either dish out $15 to unlock the rest of the game or you’re confined to replaying the levels you just beat. Very disappointing. Plague Inc. is known for its viral replay-ability. Plague Inc. this game is not.
Intuitive and paced well
A short but clear tutorial got me up and running quickly this afternoon. Runs smoothly with an intuitive interface. The graphics are better than cartoonish without being overwrought.
Whats with the dlcs
Bought the game thinking I was buying the game, essentially its a tutorial and then you gotta pay like 20 bucks to keep playing. Disappointing.
It's... tolerable
As fun as I want this game to be, After Inc. is just... ehh. It's average, and blatantly unoriginal. It's The Walking Dead all over again. Which is funny, because I've never read or seen TWD. Well, one issue once. But I'm getting distracted, proving myself to nobody, since nobody will ever see this. Anyhow, the game is middling, and I would recommend you get Plague Inc. instead. The studio is a one-hit wonder, and they need to accept that. Also, this is kind of just hearsay, but I heard that they used LLMs to help "develop" this game. Which is an instant disqualifier, for me, at least.

I bought the game for $2.99, played the first few levels/survival mode in a few hours, was really enjoying it! So it was disappointing to realise that all the other gameplay areas and levels require DLC packs to play. I thought okay, I can fork out another $2.99 for each part, that’s reasonable right? A lot of work must go into making this game. But, the other level packs cost between 10 and 20 bucks :/ I wouldn’t have paid for this game if I knew I was only paying for an extended tutorial.

Great but 1 Thing
Make the Hoarder’s ability something you can toggle so that you don’t get stuck in an endless loop of building more storage that you can’t cancel and never having any stamina (trust me, it’s not fun).

Enjoyed the simple mechanic and theme and the price at 2.99 , however when you finish the first campaign, which takes a few hours and plays more like a tutorial, all other campaigns are DLC at 9.99 with a full package at 29.99 , i was not expecting that and not ready to pay that price for more of the same thing

This game is so fun and challenging. I love strategic games and this one has been my favorite since they released it. Dare I say, it’s more fun than Plague Inc. I’ve completed every level and I’m waiting for them to expand the game a bit more. They update it regularly and I’m looking forward to the future of After Inc. Update: it’s driving me crazy only having 2-3 levels dropped daily. I love playing them but please expand the game! I defeat every level on mega brutal x5 and it’s still not enough. I need mooorrreeeeeee

Given that this is a paid game I do feel like you should have a way to access all the content of the game for free. For example in Plague Inc you could access all the content by beating all the plagues on brutal. If the game had a system similar to that it would be a 10/10

A solid foundation
As I’ve played Ndemics other strategy games I’ve always enjoyed their unique indemnity and style. Plague imc focusing on disease based domination, rebel inc a tense political thriller and now we have After Inc. Its early days yet in regards to this games life but I can say it is quite engaging, though my only real criticism so far is lack of rebel inc style mechanics that give the game that extra complexity, though the resource management definitely fills that role. After Inc has a lot of potential and I can’t wait to see how this game improves!
