Fun, addicting, expensive
Such an amazing game. Incredible strategy, fun and exciting. I love that the maps are realistic to earth. Nothing better than playing as different countries on the True Start Mediterranean or TS Europe map. To buy the game with all the expansions costs over $100. I would love some more explorer maps, like detailed countries, continents, regions etc. like the DLC you can get on steam.

Very good game with very minor issues
I have civ 6 on nearly every device I have and I always enjoy it no matter what, I can’t see the difference between mobile and console/PC besides not having mods and no world builder menu which really needs to come to mobile, and the graphics are a bit downscaled so that’s probably the only thing about this game on mobile but besides that it performs well and is very fun and enjoyable…
Boring
Civ VI falls far short of the mark for Sid Meier. It takes forever to build anything. If things could be built in less time, the game would move more quickly and it would be fun. As it is, nothing happens over and over and over again. And I'm playing on Settler, which ought to be a breeze.

Good on pc not phone or iPad
I love the game and all the details but it is only good on the pc and not the phone and iPad. When I bought the game on the pc I could not stop playing it. It is so fun.
Freezes up in later game session
Love the Civilization series it’s my favorite game basically however this port on iOS is not playable once you populate your civilization much, it becomes unplayable and I couldn’t finish my playthrough, spent money on the game for like an hour of gameplay or something like that but I don’t want a refund, just fix the game plz may God bless you
Great fun, No Restore
I temporarily removed the app from my phone for extra space, redownloaded and No. Dice. I had all the DLC and they wouldn’t restore my purchases.

A couple years ago I had this game installed and it was the full version, today I reinstalled it to only find that it was asking me to buy the game again

DLC fails to download
DLC downloads stuck at 0% on latest iOS iPhone 17 pro max.
Good game go but needs updating!
I played this game for years. It is getting a bit boring. The gameplay graphics are good. There are enough leaders and different challenges to keep you busy The game needs to be upgraded to civilization seven Or the game needs updated logic for the AI. Move.
Expensive expansions
If you come here from the desktop version or the Netflix version, going back to the vanilla version of this game is painful. The expansions are super expensive and never in 1 million years and am I gonna pay that much for such an old game’s expansion packs. Wish they would go on sale. Hard to enjoy without them.

Absolutely Perfect ! For those struggling to restore your purchase, simply buy it again and it’ll tell you you’ve purchased it already. Yes, the fear that you’ll be charged again is there, but as long as you are using the same Apple ID, you won’t be charged. I’m not sure why the developers haven’t just told people this, but that’s all you need to do. The same goes for the expansions. Purchase them again, and as long as it’s been paid for already, you will not be charged.

Needs a Resolution Bump on iPad
This is a good port of Civ 6, but it’s way too blurry on iPad. I’m using an M4 iPad Pro - are you telling me that can’t run this years-old game at native res?
DLC Prices
I love this game, and playing it on mobile is far better than expected. My only problem is that the DLC is still FULL PRICE. As of now you can but the full game plus all DLC on pretty much every platform except mobile for under $20.
Bleed you dry for DLC
There’s no need to restrict half of the games features behind separate pay walls, but here we are needing to spend £70-90, money for old rope considering Civ VII is already out.
Can we please rename cities on iPad version?
I can’t believe how inexpensive this is and the accessibility without the need for WiFi! I’m played as a kid and have been killing waaaaaay too many hours glued to this game. That said one of my FAVORITE parts of prior versions was the ability to rename cities. It was fun and it helped with recall when bouncing around the screen. Would LOVE it if this could be added for iPad version. Thanks!
Doesn’t let me restore my DLC I bought
I was looking up that the last update was about 2 years ago I downloaded on my new iPhone and no matter what I do my DLC doesn’t download The only DLC download is the leaders pack Is there any way the developers can fix this? I enjoy playing Civ 6 but if I can’t redownload the content I paid why would I play future games and buy its DLC’s if the app won’t respond when I try to restore what I purchased This is frustrating and will let other people looking to purchase for iPhone know what my experience has been like
Excellent but much too expensive
When I was recommended this game, I thought £10 was a reasonable price - I was glad of the 60-turn trial and I was very impressed with the quality and graphics of the game. However, when I purchased it, I discovered that if you were to buy the whole game with every expansion and DLC, at the time of writing it would cost you over £200. No sane person would ever buy a game for that price, and I certainly won’t. It is ridiculously expensive. I will not buy the expansion that I want until the price is lowered, and neither should anyone else.
Higher frame rate options
Adding higher framerate options would make the game much more enjoyable on iOS platforms
Multiplayer
The multiplayer part of this game is really bad. Needs tons of qol work. Would be great to have notifications when it’s your turn. If I have an active game would be great to have to easily get back into. Right now you have to click through like 5 menus to get there. Sometimes the play by cloud is disabled when I have a network connection. Would love if there was cross play with pc too.

Restore Purchases doesn’t work
Major bug with critical feature remains unfixed on iPad/iOS - can’t restore previously bought base game or DLC on iPad/iOS. They just ask for more money and there’s not helpful information in the support link provided
Civ Lover
Very fun and engaging, can play HOURS of it. However, if you have a PC buy it on that instead - depending on your device it will crash and slow or freeze or Ui may bug when you progress through game quite often, especially if you have the dlc packs. Be careful of buying it on Xbox - as it also may crash often on that.

I play it on my iPad and it was fine for a while but now keeps crashing. Very annoying
Just enough to get your civ fix
I mean, it’s pretty limited and quite buggy (though less buggy than it used to be) and there’s none of the DLC content so it’s a pretty basic version of Civ but it’s just enough to get your civilisation fix and I do keep coming back to it.

Too many crashes
Getting along great then suddenly crashes, totally spoils the game
Needs work
As the game goes it works fine. However playing it it seems extremely unpolished and poorly optimised for an iPhone. Things like the UI feel like they were not designed for touchscreen, especially smaller ones. The game play itself though is fine so if gets updates it will be a good mobile game

Good game but buggy. Exemple of my last game. I was playing a normal prince game, everything seem to go fine. Suddenly at years 1280 no trade route are available for my caravans even if there is a lot of city around. It destroyed my economy. That brake the game for sure.
Love Civ hate the crashes
I bought a new IPad as my older one was crashing ALL the time. The new one now crashes hour I play Civ 6. For the money the developers are getting surely they can put some small effort into solving these crash issues.

The repeated need to fix the bugs in this game make it unplayable. Disappointment is an understatement
Enjoyable but buggy
It’s a fun game and quite addictive. However, there are always bugs, no matter how often (not very) they update the app. Currently, the game crashes frequently when displaying a ranged attack trajectory graphic.

Unable to Restore Purchase
I love Civ VI, and have bought most of the expansions and everything on my phone. But when I switched to a new phone it isn’t giving me the option to restore my purchase. When I click on the button it just exits the prompt. Please help!!
annoying tooltip issue
good port, but a lot of the time tooltips appear directly under your finger, and disappear when you let go. How are you supposed to read them when your finger and hand is blocking it?
IPhone crashes
Every time I try a range attack the graphs just go awol and I need to restart. Please fix it!!!
Let me unlock the framerate
Playing on a newer device is so frustrating as I’m locked to the same 30fps as when the game released for I phone 7.
