It’s a great game
It’s a great game. It doesn’t feel like the devs are only catering to the pay-to-win players. This makes the game far more enjoyable and fair. The following are a couple opinions that I think would help balance and offer quality of life. I would like to see the addition of an army layout save option? I would be far more willing to try out different army configs if I could save my go-to army. Next, a change in sapphires would be good. Either increase the opportunities to earn them, reduce the cost when using them to upgrade, or allow food/gold/oil to also be used in those upgrades.

Old issues
It would be nice if the old issues in the game were fixed. Nobody will respond back to me about this. The support team has no knowledge of the game and only answer pre scripted questions. Why?

I’ve been playing this game for 10 years now, and it is nice, but things here take forever. It takes forever to build something, to research etc., but the gains are very small.
Several years of review info.
I’ve played this game for over 7 years. This game is fun, but I’ve spent years working on different attack strategies and spending money to get the items to help make successful attacks. Over those several years there have been several “rebalances” which negated all the years of work I put in, and the money that was spent on this game. This game is enjoyable, but also very frustrating.

I LOVE the game been playing for 1 year now, it’s awesome but the only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the Marco Polo thing-every time I login after logging out he’ll come up and ask for trades - it’s a good feature but it’s frustrating because when I get troops donated to me he’ll always be in my way and I can’t see who donated them so I can thank that person but in general it’s a great game
Game mistake
Wish I can remember what the new thing is called but I do not like it. It is now the first thing that is seen when you go into battle. I do not play as often as I did before it came into the game. Did play every day but now once a week
Crash Crash Crash
If you can get yourself through an entire attack without the game crashing and disconnecting from the servers. Count your blessings. Because a miracle just happened. It’s a good game otherwise. Just be prepared to attack with your troops and then lose them when the game crashes and you have to recook them all and select new ones from reinforcements, because they’re gone into the ether now. This game is great, but incredibly unstable. Good luck!
6+ years not pay to play
Been playing for over 6 years and I find this game engaging daily. Favors attacking over defense, but it’s a long play that can be enjoyed in 2-3 mins at a time. Great depth with upgrades galore while still rewarding in the short term. No requirement to pay to win; paying just reduces times to upgrade. This is MY go to strategy game!
Full of bugs, useless support and devs
If you’re planning to spend money on a game, take it somewhere else. This game is full of bugs which developers never fix. The support are providing no help at all. And you can never refund your purchases, they will just take your complaints for granted. READ ALL THE REVIEWS FIRST!
Good but….
I’ve had this game for years and it’s great. The only main issue I have is that once you’ve cleared all the areas you’re allowed to clear that’s it. I would love for you to open it up to where you can clear more patches of land. Thanks!
A beautiful game ruined by bugs and game crashing
As outlined in the title, this game is beautiful, but seriously flawed. I’ve played the game since it launched. It has always had bugs, but we, the community sort of expect that. But recently the game has become super glitchy, with too many random crashes. Add to that crazy new additions, like the impossible Strike Uni research. It’s impossible because there aren’t enough ways to bad Sapphires. The game needs a new platform as the game engine is sooooo old! Come on BHG do better!

I’ve been playing this game forever, and it still hits. The mix of building, strategy, and real-time battles is unmatched. The updates keep the game fresh, the alliances make it fun, and the grind is addictive in the best way. Easily one of the most solid mobile strategy games out there.
Ads
Ads have become a form of punishment. I can take a 15s or 30s Ads but 90s Ads that have multiple transitions that require attention are punishing and not worth the game play.
Good game, fix commanders
The game used to be better and is still great, but now, it’s become less strategic due to commanders being overpowered. You could bring an entire anti-commander squad in and it would get wiped out in one hit. The only criticism I have is that commanders are to powerful. Still great in terms of city building and progression.

Pretty good
This game is probably one of the best games in the app store (although that isn’t saying much) and it’s a pretty well rounded game. However, there are quite a few bugs and the AI is pretty bad. Also whoever added the commanders deserves life in prison, those things one-shot almost every unit at level one and completely ruin the game. I mean every time I try to attack someone, Riply solos my ENTIRE army.

Advertising is way overboard
It’s a great game but the advertising is ruining the game… the same ad repeats 5-10 times with no way to stop it unless you reset the game.. thought they would fix it but it’s getting worse… it’s ruining my game enjoyment huge
Good game at lower levels
Always loved this game. But as I got to higher levels, more and more of the players had purchased all sorts of goodies, making them impossible or harder to beat.

I love this game as it help me to relax. It also helps to know how war is like in real time. Good game and thank you the game developers

Too long to upgrade
When you get to the higher stages of age like atomic age, space age etc. it takes over 10 days to upgrade a lot of things. Once I upgrade three or four different things I don't play the game for a while to wait for the upgrades to finish. There should be either an incentive or faster way to upgrade.
Game for ages 12+ but be careful, they promote gambling!
They promote gambling in their ads. You have to watch these ads if you want to upgrade and speed up in the game!

Used to be a good game but now ruined by greed , being unbalanced , and pay to win now
I’ve been playing this game for many years and it used to be a great game but now the more money you spend the more you win and they’ve added resource currency to upgrading troops in buildings that just make it not only a chore but pretty much forced you to have to spend money to get anywhere unless you wanna spend months on a single upgrade and good luck going against somebody who spends money constantly no matter how good you are
Currently Unstable
Recent releases are unstable. Getting more frustrating. After many years of good quality and fair gameplay (for a gacha] it’s degrading since it was sold. Concerned.
Detachments / organize
Since the recent update introducing detachments / organise, I can no longer rally paratroopers - you need to fix this.
Good game spoilt by poor war matches
This game could be so good if the matches in the war were made a lot fairer. Despite lots of complaints online there does not seem to be any progress on this matter. Without the wars the game is somewhat boring so the developers need to spend some time on this and not worry about extra robots or other so called improvements without getting the basics right. If not people will just move on to something where there is at least some chance of winning a war. Unfortunately I think this is not going to happen soon.

It’s a pay to play game.,
It’s a fun Game to play unfortunately when you reach a certain level, if you don’t pay real money it takes a very, very long tome to progress an y farther. Plus you are constantly being attacked by players that do spend a lot of money. They are 75, t o 150 levels above you. So they are taking a big chunk of you resources, that you need to make yourself stronger. So be ready to become stagnant in the game if your not ready to be a big spender. Personally I can’t afford to.

I’ve played this game for years now and it’s still alright but all I wish for is the level requirement to be removed from upgrading the town hall and instead have specific tasks to do before upgrading as getting from level 103 to 130 is extremely grindy and if this doesn’t get resolved by new year then I shall be quitting permanently and going to clash of clans instead
