Great app
I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I’ve had nothing but good results when using the app. I find it user friendly.
Unfriendly app
If I could give this zero stars I would. Very hard to use as a consumer. Would never recommend this app
App usage
I have no concerns about the app. I can do all my transactions including external accounts. Works fine for my general banking needs.
website not user friendly
I have tried many, many times to view my statements and recent checking account transactions online, but it seems the website is not designed for that purpose. I can see my balance, which I appreciate, and make transfers or pay loans, neither of which I’m interested in, but I sure would like to see which bills have been paid and which deposits have come through.
Fine
Pros - Simple UI and easy enough to use Cons / My feedback - >500MB??? Why?? - Loading times are quite high. It can take several seconds just to log in. - Requires you create a 5-digit pin exclusively for app logins. Why? There’s no way to just do username/pw login. But I feel compelled to use the app — and have to remember another code — because the web app doesn’t have a “remember me” feature, so you have to enter a OTP challenge every single time you log in. I haven’t experienced any major bugs or crashes, but I would say my impression is that the app is very heavy on bloat given the load times and bundle size.

Issues in the beginning but they listen to members and make changes to improve. Lots of great new features and Blue is very responsive to members!
Updated to not open
I had to upgrade phones and now I cannot even open anything on this app. It gets me stuck on the login screen and doesn’t accept my sign in. Very frustrating and annoying.
Version 1.0.32 is broken
I’ve been using this app since release, and it’s been fine, if a little threadbare at times. However, version 1.0.32 is pretty broken - it is not currently possible to select custom amounts of money beyond the minimum payment on credit card balances, and the app frequently fails on login and just… doesn’t work.
Straight forward app
Convenient and easy to use. I can transfer money quickly or check balances. All my accounts are right there for easy view.
Amateur app
Principal Only payments never work. Been promised that it will work for 14 months. Nope. Are high school kids making apps for this joke of a CU? Every rep I talk to about getting my extra payments put towards principal only does it a different way. The payment history on my loan is an absolute mess. Blue FCU sucks. Can’t wait to get this loan paid off and be done with these clowns.
Check deposit bug
Blue has been fine as a credit union but lacking on the technology front. Biggest issue is that about 1/5 of checks get rejected when trying to deposit on the app. Pretty frustrating since I have to drive into town to deposit. I may switch banks if it doesn’t get fixed. Otherwise, Blue doesn’t integrate with some services like Empower expense tracking or Zelle.
Good app
Has all the necessary features of a mobile banking app. Consistent updates are pushed out to make it more user friendly.
The app is garbage
Wow. I’ve never seen an app this poorly designed. It’s like they tried to squeeze their webpage into an app format and it’s just unusable. Constant pop ups saying you are about to leave the app (when you aren’t). Takes forever to log in. Why bother offering an app when it’s this bad?
Terrible
One of worse I’ve seen. App is so small on an iPad and keeps freezing up. Not very user friendly.
Just doesn’t work
99% of the things you want to do won’t work. The app boils down to seeing how much you owe on your loan and getting the phone number for customer support. I wish I could do anything in this hellscape with out having to call someone to manually do it for me
Not what I expected from a bank
This app needs to have more info on the loan that the customer can view. Way too basic. Please allow statements to be seen, the actual payment due when more is applied from the previous payments also being able to see more info about payment breakdown. I would think that the app developers would have an idea of what a customer would like to see when entering the app.
Worst App for a bank
It is impossible to manage your debit card in any way on this app which leaves room for fraud. Also, it’s 2026, why does this app look and function like it was made on the original windows program
App issues
The app has not been able to load pending transactions for the past several days! Prior platform was better. You can’t view the payoff amount for loans on this one either.
Poor App
I’ve been actively in the app either chatting with customer service or writing a message and it has kicked me out multiple times for inactivity while I was ACTIVELY in their app with their customer service. What the heck? In this day and age there’s no reason an app should kick me out when I’m actively writing a message and then when I get back the message is gone. Didn’t even save my draft. Plus when I logged back in during the chat all three times it kicked me out on one conversation I had to close everything again and try to log in two to three times to get back into the chat. It’s so frustrating. I hate this app. I am going to have to look for a local credit union since I can’t get anything done mobile with BLUE. At this point, I hate that my credit union was bought by them.
Terrible hasn’t worked for a year
What used to be great is terrible, the worst banking experience I have ever had. The app hasn’t worked for over a year.
Mobile deposit doesn’t work
I am about to switch credit unions over it unfortunately but It is very inconvenient to not be able to cash my check come pay day.
Pathetic
This shouldn’t be even allowed on the App Store and Blue should be embarrassed. Don’t do banking for this reason with them. HORRIBLE
