PLEASE STOP SIGNING ME OUT RANDOMLY. NOBODY WANTS TO DEAL WITH THIS UNEXPECTEDLY WHEN TRYING TO MONITOR THEIR CHILD AT 3AM THROUGH TIRED EYES. JFC.
Functionally Fine
I think this app paired with the camera does the job, you still have your camera monitor you use for your day to day in the house and this app offers a bit of an additional peace of mind when the monitor isn’t available. I just really wish the developers can make a widget for the app. The most annoying part of day to day use is the fact it keeps logging itself out.
Annoying ad
The app really started getting annoying, I’d open it to look at my baby and it pops up with a $5 off coupon that you have to click on then you have to close the app and go back in to get rid of it. Starting to really agitate me because I am trying to check on my baby and it’s putting up annoying road blocks.
Heat problem
Keeping the app open for a relatively long period (20-30min) makes it so the phone heats up wayy too much

Too many ads
Every time I want to see the camera I am prompted to subscribe to their premium service and there’s no way to disable the popup.
Temperature
In the MyVTech Pro app, the room temperature is displayed on the screen of the phone/iPad, even in full-screen mode. However, in the MyVTech Plus app, when switched to full-screen mode, the temperature disappears. Please add the temperature display in full-screen mode on the MyVTech Plus app as well; it makes monitoring the baby much easier.
Can’t close ads
Purchased a product for the sole purpose of a camera and can’t see the camera because of ads popping up when it’s loaded; that can’t be closed. It’s super frustrating! Please fix this!
App drains battery
We loved our camera and parent unit but the parent unit broke within a year… we now have only the app and if I have the app open all night my phone over heats and it completely drains my phone battery. I’m not sure why it does this because I have no issues using my phone with any other apps just this one.

Useless App
The app never works. The live feed takes forever to load so we’re never able to look at a “motion detected” notification as it’s happening. The app also never captures video recordings of movement. My son woke up, got out of his bed and walked around his room for a bit but the app didn’t record any of that motion. Additionally, the motion log is always 2-3 days behind. Right now the app is currently displaying motion from 7/30/26. It is 8/3/26. We unfortunately have to buy a new camera because it’s important for us to be able to see how often our son wakes up throughout the night and the lack of recordings doesn’t allow us to do that and there is no peace of mind right now.
Ads that can’t be skipped and automatically redirect to Vtech store?
Loved this app until the latest update incorporated ads that can’t be skipped, and force you to the VTech store. Dubious at best, sinister at worst.
Basic app. Now with ads
The app is really basic with average UI. The recent update introduced an ad at launch which can’t be removed unless you click on it or restart the app.

Majority of the time it has an issue connecting to the camera. Very annoying. Refreshed and done all it asks for. Just rarely works
It’s okay
Has lots of issues connecting to phones and cameras, started to bring up adds that you can’t click out of. Have to close and reopen. Sad to have to deal with that on a monitor app.
Serving ads now
This is the one and only app we used to watch our children. It was amazing in the beginning, but over the past year it kept popping up that it wants us to sign up for their additional subscription plan. Obviously we don’t wanna do that but we’re still given the message every now and then. As of this morning, I was unable to look at my child because there is a full screen ad that could not be removed without force, closing the app and reopening the app. Very disappointed, and if it gets any worse, we’ll probably be switching brands as I don’t need to think about buying something when I’m checking on my child.
Wonderful monitor
I use this monitor for an elderly gentleman I take care of. I need to care for him different times of the night. This monitor allows me to see extremely clearly and to communicate with him to make sure he is safe. I love that I could also use this app on my phone. It makes it very convenient.
Never seems to work right
The app is always spotty and never loads in properly. There’s always some kind of connection issue even when there is full internet access and power for the camera. The notifications are incessant and go off almost every minute even if you change the settings. There’s always something wrong or not working and our whole experience with this app has been abysmal. Wouldn’t recommend this company or its products until they fix the issues with their systems.
Consistently overheats phone
After about 10 mins, the phone (iPhone 13 ProMax) will get extremely hot and I will have to force close the app and wait for the phone to cool down before I can use it again. Also, the zoom level is set by the monitor that comes with the cameras. You can zoom in closer on the app but not further out. The monitor motion alarm has there settings: very loud, super loud, and “wake the baby from across the house”. So you can’t use the monitor to watch the baby in the same dark room. You HAVE to use the app or turn the motion alarm off. There are all fixable issues.
Good but slow and missing features
I like this camera but the app is slow. Does not let you download videos from motion alerts. I had the baby pro app before and it wasn’t half bad with the picture and picture feature they added.
Great Product
This a great product for the price it accomplishes what it promises. Being able to turn the camera around would be a great additional functionality for future improvements.
Advertisements when I’m trying to check on my baby
So sick of every piece of software serving me ads. I want to check on my baby, not buy your new product. No obvious click through available. Shame of these companies.
Great Camera bad App
Camera works just fine. It’s the app that sucks. Takes forever to load. Whatever it records it sometimes may not even show when you try to play. It’s glitchy. App needs major improvements
Unable to delete videos
Love the monitor/camera and the app, but when I try to delete motion detected videos it will not let me, keeps saying video failed to delete.

Works really well. Actually faster refresh rate than the handheld device that comes with it
Camera doesn’t work after a while
Had the camera less then a year and switched WiFi one day and one camera won’t work anymore
When it works it’s great
When the app actually connects it works great. However, almost 50% of the time of trying to use it it won’t connect. It constantly says “Camera is Offline” and won’t connect. Sometimes continuously closing the app and reopening works but a lot of the time it won’t and the app just doesn’t work at all. Very frustrating.
Great camera but awful app
The monitor is of great quality but the app is awful. It tells me my baby is awake or sleeping his face is covered when he isn’t even in the crib? I get 20+ notifications like this a day when it’s not even in use. It’s warped the sleep cycle portion bc it’s “monitoring” a ghost lol. It’ll say motion detected but again, no one is even in the nursery??
Works Great Now
For couple months or so the app was very buggy but all bugs appear to have been ironed out and it’s working great now.
Its A Matter of Safety
The new ads cannot be closed and pose a serious threat when you’re needing to quickly check on a child. If this is how it’s going to be, we will be ditching Vtech.
Recorded video won’t play
Great for live viewing but I can’t reliably play recorded video. You can’t control where in the video you view either or even pause it. You just have to watch it all the way through.
No notifications
I have two cameras, one monitor, and both are set at high detection for motion, and it continually says I have no notifications, also with old notifications it won't let me them. No swiping right or left, no clicking to select all... the app is a piece of junk.
Best device and app
Me and my girlfriend LOVE using our camera system. The app allows us to view the room even when we aren’t home, so it honestly doubles at a security system 🤣 When we go outside for a smoke break we can talk to our 4 year old through the camera and she LOVES it, she listens to us even more through the camera than she does in person 😂 love it
App Sucks and Cameras Loud
First of all, stop sending unclosable ad pop ups when you first open the app. Parents need to be able to see their monitors for a reason and it’s NOT to see an ad. At least have the courtesy to make it closable; you can’t even X out if you open the ad and go back to the app!!! Same thing with the premium subscription, I paid a lot of money for these products, I’ve already told you countless times I’m not subscribing to premium features so stop asking!!! This is such a terrible user experience and it’s completely unnecessary to spam ads on parents when they’re actively trying to view this kids. There’s an issue with the heat sensor where it sends an alarm on the monitor non-stop at 69 degrees, why? I’ve checked settings to verify that it wasn’t something that reset during an update or something and there’s nothing. The camera click on loud when you open them, enough to wake a just settled baby… When this system dies, I won’t purchase again. I will also never recommend this to anyone I know. Vtech- when a parent uses their precious and very limited time to leave feedback, please don’t ignore it.
It never has the detections recorded
Everything would be good, it has everything I want and need besides not ever having accurate, up to date or even available clips of the motion detection. We have gone months without it, recently it popped up again and is previously frozen on a past date.
Quel amelioration?
Depuis quelques temps, je ne suis plus capable de voir les détections de mouvements au complet. je peux voir que la fin des vidéos, mais jamais les débuts! Et c’est comme ça depuis que vous avez fixés les bugs. Est-ce que quelqu’un a ce même problème?

Unskippable Ads
Way to add ADs for your other products that can’t be closed out and forces you to your website, to which you then have to force close the app to be able to get to the baby monitors since you can’t close or manage this built in browser window. Bravo.
Doesn’t work
Have had for two months and all of a sudden the app wont connect to the camera. Useless
Fantastic camera, app needs an update
I absolutely love this camera unit. The monitor is very clear and I love the above the crib mount. However the sleep analysis and the video rewind have stopped working for the last few months so I believe the app needs a update
