Great variety
Overall a great platform to connect to your partner and scroll and select names. Would love if there was an option to audibly hear name pronunciation…
you’re better off with NameHatch
This is the only app that looks 21st century, kind of. But it has random upgrades for 99 cent that people don’t need. A lot of people say the names are uninteresting and super unusual to choose. That’s why a lot are switching to NameHatch and finding the perfect name in days not months.
Great App!
I am very surprised how good this app was. It gives you a bunch of random baby names and you get shoes from them. They gave me a lot that I like, but I like that they give me options that I can dislike so I can show them more preference. It is really useful if you are about to have a kid, or you just want to plan baby names for the future. I can’t wait for more updates, but the only negatives are that it says my Apple account doesn’t work so I don’t have an account. That’s why this is four stars.
Not enough name choices
Not enough name choices. Also when I add a name it never asked my partner if they liked it.
Limited names
Easy app to use, easy to set up with partner. Names are very limited. Within 3 days I’d seen them all.
Great app
I don’t know why people are having such problems with the app- it’s super easy to follow, links quickly to partner, you get your country names for free and can buy for a very small fee all the other names - great stuff!
Doesn’t work
Inviting your partner does nothing. Doesn’t connect your accounts or even seem like it attempts too. Wouldn’t recommend.
Really great but could be better
Love the app so far but my wife can’t see our matches for some reason. Also I highly suggest a “super like” option. That would help sort the “yeah I kinda like that” from the “that’s one of my favorites’” and also (more importantly I think) give the ability to override one partner’s “eh not my favorite” with the other’s “I love it!” And allowing more conversation about that name rather than it going by the wayside because of one person’s indifference.
Lots of bugs
The app concept is great. Connecting to a partner on the app was a hassle. The code wouldn’t work, matches that are showing up on my wife’s side and not mine, the names should be in the same order on both connected apps to streamline the matches.
Repetitive
Some of these names are really old & keep coming up.
Finally Named Our Daughter!
After months of trying to pick a name and a month until baby was due this app brought is a new name we hadn’t even considered and we ended up using the name for our daughter. Simple concept with great results!
Partner Invite Functionality is Bad
My partner and I got this app for baby naming exploration. It did not allow for me to input who to invite as my partner. It just auto sent it. My partner didn’t receive any sort of invitation and we have no clue who that went to. Terrible functionality had we been keeping it a secret.
Fun, could be better
The app is a fun thing to share with my partner. What would make this a 5 star app is if the listed names also included meanings/definitions/translations/language of origin.
Doesn’t link to partner
Disappointed in this app. Doesn’t link to partner as it states. Just gives an error if you try to link. Names are so so.
Good, could be better
Have had this app for a month or so. At first the match feature was working, it has disappeared recently. Has a large-ish pool of names, but the types of names in the base app do not inspire me to purchase expansions, as many of the names seem odd to me. A nice-to-have feature would be meaning of the names on the cards as well. Overall we have used this to our expectations over other apps, but I have had to do my own research as well and add potential names to our deck. Want the match function to work again.
Best Name App I’ve Tried
This is the third baby name app I tried and why I like it better than others: 1. I didn’t have to create an account to use it. 2. There’s tons of names. Seemed like other baby name apps showed you the same 100 names over and over again. 3. I didn’t have to buy up the plan to get more names.
Core Function Broken
App will not allow accounts to be linked with their shared link or with the code. Could be nice if you are using solo
More fun than Tinder
This is a fun app to use with your partner. I bought an extra packet of names but I still feel like there are many missing. I would like to be able to export the names matched, or at least select and copy them.
Gender filter broken
This app is nice and everything you need EXCEPT the filter for name gender DOES NOT WORK! I select boy, save and then it immediately resets and goes back to any gender and shows me girl names again.

It doesn’t stick with the gender I request in settings.
Possible extension
Fun app, really useful for introducing us to names we might not have known about/considered otherwise. An idea for a possible extension — the app is currently great for identifying names you and your partner both like, but it doesn’t help you decide between them. What we just wound up doing was taking a “long-short” list of names we both liked and generating a ranking using pairwise comparisons, which helped us narrow it down more systematically than trying to think through 25 names separately. That seems like the kind of thing that would be straightforward to implement in-app? In any case, definitely just a nice-to-have feature, not a need-to-have.
Unable to connect to partner
Super frustrating. Couldn’t connect to my partner which is the whole point to the app.

An extra section where you can source the meaning of the name would be awesome, like where it originates and meanings in those places
Can’t connect with partner
My wife and I have been using this thinking we would find matching names we like but the app never shows us matches. We have looked at each others likes and we have several that match but the app does not show them in the match tab.
Strange names
Some very odd choices and my partner gets name suggestions I don’t get!

Great app. Played with a couple of similar ones. I appreciate the “back” button and the ability to add your own names for a partner to have come up in their feed.
Missing core functionality
My partner and I used this app for our first child. Since then it appears that the most basic functionality has been removed, or is broken. We have tried repeatedly to connect via the app, and it does not work. When he opens it, it says he has already reviewed all the names, and all that is left to do is view the names I have already rated. I could’ve just handed him a list with my favorite names and skipped all the app downloading and invite sending business.
Handig om te matchen
Handige app, Je bent alleen wel snel door alle namen heen en er komen veel namen opnieuw naar voren, sommige namen (bekende) zijn niet verschenen.
Womp womp just for the straights
The opening intro slides have icons indicating a straight couple. For queer parents-to-be, like me, this is a big turn off. I ended up going with another very similar app that isn’t so exclusionary.

I purchased English (UK) and basically got 10 or so extra boy names. Such a ripoff!
Wonderful! But: how to export the names
We really love this app, so much fun swiping through the names. Only thing is that i would like very much to export or copy the matched names so we can e.g. print the (shot) list. Love the brilliant simplicity of this app!
Connection to partner failing after multiple attemps
The title says it all. My husband has an android and I have an iphone. I’ve tried typing in the code and using the link on both his phone and mine several times to no avail. It’s a great concept in but the app is faulty.
Good but not enough names
I paid for the app but still there are not enough names or theme would be fab if get had themes like ‘Inspired by nature’ like I’ve seen on other apps I went through every single name on just an hour and out of thousands ended up with a list of 15

Brilliant idea and design but needs maintenance
I love how easy this is to use. The user interface is really nice and it’s a great way to choose a shortlist of names with your partner. There seem to be a few bugs though - for example a name my partner and I both liked was only presented to one of us before we exhausted the list (we checked the likes / dislikes list). Also we exhausted the list of names very quickly even after opening up the filters. So would be 5 stars with a bit more testing and a larger database of names.
No reset?
I enjoy the app but I wish there was a way to reset your selections or switch to new list for a different kid

Add a bit more clarity to purchase options and it’ll be perfect. This baby name shortlisting app is really good The style is simple and clever, it works well and seeing the mutual liked names with my partner is great. I initially reviewed this critiquing the pricing system of £1 per name selection. What was missed initially was the possibility to purchase all the name sets for £3.99. This is far more reasonable than £1 for the individual sets which if you scroll down quickly you’ll assume is the only option. Make the full set purchase option a bit clearer and the app would massively benefit as that price is probably about right for the name selections. One issue we have run into is that my partners app doesn’t allow us to review name sets I’ve purchased on my own app. I’m sure I’ve read about that in one of the updates but clarity on that would also be helpful.

Matches not syncing
After spending hours going throughout names, I sent a link to my partner. He started selecting names he likes, but he’s the only one who can see our matches. One day later and it still shows no matches for me. This app seems poorly developed.
Fun with room for improvement
Really enjoy the app. Easy to use. Would be great to see a couple of extra functions. 1) search / add your own names without hoping/waiting for them to appear (took forever for my first choice to appear but saw other names 3-5 times beforehand) 2) a speaker so you can hear the pronunciation of some you’re less familiar with. Overall a great idea though
Not enough names
There’s like 200 boy names it let me see. I had it for an hour or two before running out. Waste of time.
A bit sneaky
It’s a really good concept and works well for couples to find matching names but it’s naughty installing the app and giving each person a different set of names (English UK & English USA) Then there are multiple other catagories of names all of which are £0.99 per person which is expensive!!

Nice concept but glitchy
Nice concept for sure but after I tried selecting a few extra name filters the app crashed. Now it won’t open, it just crashes immediately on opening. Pretty infuriating as we’d made a start on a list and I’m probably going to have to delete the app and start from scratch and presumably lose my data.
