doesn’t work
I have had registration failed x5. I finally got it to say registration complete and then it keeps glitching when it tries to do updates/reboot. I do not have a tab to see my camera. I have turned it off, reset it, re-paired it and still not camera on my app. I cannot find anyone to help me and I am very frustrated with how expensive this is. Do not recommend
App needs faster updates
Hated the owlet sock from newborn to 2 months because it would always go off because he was kicking so much. Now I love the owlet sock and app, it gives me such a peace of mind. However you need to close it out and open it back up to have accurate times. Also I hate that as soon as you take the sock off and you look at the sleep session it counts the whole time wearing it not the actual sleep time. There needs to be more advanced app updates… also baby will be sleeping and it still says awake. Takes time for it to change…
Great for peace of mind with sock, horrific loading/quality of video
Sock is breath for peace of mind but has occasional connection issues if it randomly deems too far. Get the sock but get a different monitor because the video quality is bad.
Connectivity- bug
I do like the owlet camera when it works. But the constant loading and having to close and reopen the app is exhausting. Some nights the background audio would stop and there would be clips of my baby crying that I never heard. I would set my alarm for every 2 hours to make sure I didn’t miss anything . That was getting exhausting. I would highly recommend getting an audio monitor backup. The reason I didn’t replace the camera entirely is because worried about having same issues with another camera . And I do like AI detection system when it works

This app sucks - constantly goes out of connection at least once a day
This camera disconnects from wifi at least once daily making it impossible to check on the baby through the camera, will not be recommending any of their products to friends. I will actually be telling people to avoid all owlet products with the amount of headaches this has created. Went to a traditional Bluetooth camera and guess what 0 issues. Big waste of $
Boo: Paid Subscription
Owlet introduced a paid subscription for extra insights, which is such a disappointing money grab. The owlet is already an expensive product, so I would have hoped that Owlet would want to serve their customers by giving everyone the latest and greatest of insights that the base product is capable of. Imagine if iPhones made you pay for the IOS updates! It feels like that.
SO MANY ISSUES
The sock apparently had a malfunction two weeks after my baby was born and continuously beeped at 3AM saying his oxygen was low. I rushed him to the ER for the doctor to tell me it was a fluke and he is perfectly fine. Then the camera always goes offline, to the point I have to set up another different brand camera to make sure I can see my baby when I leave the room. (My husband watches the owlet camera while he’s at work or I would get rid of it completely.) Also, now that the baby has gotten a little bigger, the sock will beep every time he starts throwing a little fit. Very obnoxious during an already overstimulating situation. He still wears the sock because when it is functioning right, it’s great. But the camera really sucks.
Good for basic purpose
The live heart rate etc works well but the paid insights are pretty useless, the UX is rubbish, the data never matches - for instance the morning report never updates to the right date, the data might be from the night that just ended but the write up and other info will be from a different night. The description and insights are super basic and AI generated and give no real insight at all. Worth it for the live reassurance but not really for the paid version.
Anxiety Relief for first time mom
Definitely a splurge but for a new mom, who sometimes co-sleeps depending on how the night is going, the relief it gives me to know I’ll be notified was worth the money.
Owlet socks are the worst
I hate owlet socks I’ve cursed them almost daily for 6 months If my wife didn’t think they helped her relax I would’ve thrown them out months ago Worse part is we had twins born early so we have spend 600$ of this terrible product 1. Zero range 2. Holding your carrying baby will make the sock disconnect 3. No way to easily mute alarms If you have to take the baby in the other room

I do love this app, and it has alerted me three times now when needed. However we started to use the camera but there is still a delay so once you leave the room the camera shows you still in the room because there is a lag however so far it’s done the job. Updating my review since the recent update they added where you can minimise the camera and still use your phone. Which is much better thank you. If you can add the heart rate and oxygen level to that be even better It would Be ideal when you buy this product you can buy an additional circle or speaker /monitor so if I was to be downstairs and baby is upstairs I have a device that you plug in so if the alarm goes off even though you have your phone I personally would pay out for a monitor as well. (Don’t have to speak to baby or anything just something to watch rather than using the phone all the time). Or if my baby stays out. Thanks.
Good sock, bad video monitor, buggy app
The Owlet video monitor is incredibly buggy. Good when it works but constantly loses sound and video. Sometimes shows me still old images instead of a live camera. I have to close and reopen the app constantly to get video and audio. The sock is great but the camera is buggy and unreliable.

Needs to fix their cameras!
The sock and alarm part is fine, but their cameras are so inconsistent and irritating! They constantly freeze and lag or most likely just won’t load at all! Even after doing all the “tips and tricks” to make them load and work again it’s still just a buffer screen. We will be switching to a different baby monitor and will probably not use owlet in the future and will tell others it’s not worth it. I’ve tried to get in contact with their costumer support and just get met with an ai chat bot which I personally won’t interact with.

Gute, moderne Umsetzung/Fortsetzung der bisherigen App. Leider wird teils ältere Hardware nicht weiter unterstützt (z.B. Sock3) Schade!
I wish i liked this app better
I really like the quality of the camera but I am repeatedly annoyed at how the app loses contact. Over and over again. I have WiFi and it works well and yet the app cuts out. And has trouble reloading. It’s very annoying
Camera was just hacked.
I LOVE the sock. It gives me so much peace of mind. It’s the only reason I sleep at night. Well tonight, I am sleeping with the camera on my phone as a baby monitor as I do every night, I woke up to a noise coming through the camera and assumed my son had dropped his only and probably just needed it back. I walked up to the door of his bedroom when I heard an unfamiliar female voice speaking to him. This was the scariest thing ever. I immediately ran in there, unplugged it, and now I have a non WiFi camera on the way. I wish there were more security features to prevent something this dangerous from happening.
Dream Duo
The camera and sock give me such peace of mind when my baby I sleeping! Being able to have it all right here on my phone is very helpful for getting stuff done while she naps or easy access when I am also trying to sleep! I do have to fix the sock placement often but it’s worth it!
Driving me insane
Loses connection every five minutes and never stops beeping. On top of that the sock started giving my baby blisters every single time we used it. Horrible app and not worth your money.

Have had this for a year. Always having to reset the app multiple times just to view the camera. Extremely annoying. Fix your app to actually work please.

Owlet dream sock app
This app is easy to use, informative, and makes it simple to keep track of everything. Knowing I can check in and see how things are going helps me relax and sleep easier. It’s been such a great addition to our nighttime routine, and I definitely recommend it to other parents looking for a little extra reassurance!

Terrible
was good at first now it goes off and says not connected to base station, turns on when its in base station, wakes baby up cuz it thinks it’s disconnected from her foot when it’s properly secured like jesus christ all these updates and still the same issues.I’ll be switching to something else soon enough that doesn’t scream every time it’s not on the base.
Need iPad app
This product is amazing the app less so. I’m pleased the constantly buffering camera when opening the app has gotten better. Still needs some improvement though. And for a product that advertises your device being the monitor and not selling a standalone. Can we get an iPad app? It’s perfect size to have as a sitting monitor while being able to use my phone.

App is awful sock is great
A rock could have developed a better app. Glitchy. Doesn’t always show accurate readings or wake ups. For the price of the sock and camera app should be better.
2.4ghz broadband needed!
And if you have issues with the app not showing readings etc then delete and reinstall the app (possibly a few times) and it should work again. Do not try and re-set the system unless completely necessary, my goodness does that make things worse. Otherwise, the reassurance from this device is second to none! 4 stars because Owlet, you could do better, not only with improving the app massively, but with customer service and app help.
Bugs and Improvement Opportunities
I have not upgraded to the paying subscription, but maybe I need to address some of these issues. A major bug that hasn’t been addressed is when the video is switch to Picture in Picture, the video feed goes grey and acts like it’s buffering. Usually I have to go back to the app or quit the app for video to resume. Also, we lose audio when going to Picture in Picture. It would be a major improvement for the app to keep the audio like other apps do. We have multiple cameras for different rooms. A new baby profile is required to assign each camera, when I’d rather assign by room and not create new baby profiles since only one camera can be assigned to a baby. Last, it would be nice to view each camera simultaneously rather than having to switch between cameras. This is helpful for multiple baby households.
Camera or App problem!
I have to clear the app out of my task bar to make the camera load, if I have forgotten to do this it won’t load!

For the price of the owlet dream. More features need to be available Temperature, blood pressure. I do like it for the safety of my daughter.
Inconsistent and unreliable
The sock frequently alarms for inaccurate readings, frequently reads as my child is sleeping while she is up and moving, and frequently disconnects from WiFi with little to no ability to reconnect on multiple different networks. When the app gives you an option to submit feedback, it conveniently is unable to submit my poor rating. I felt strongly enough about it to come to the App Store to review. For a piece of equipment that is this expensive, I’m frequently frustrated and disappointed.
Decent, but wish there was an iPad version
I like the app, it tracks a lot during my son’s sleep sessions, but I really wish there was also an iPad version of the app. Using the iPhone version on my iPad works, but I’m unable to read some of his tracking or see the meter at the top properly.
PiP not working
The Picture in Picture feature has not been working correctly the last couple of weeks. Whenever I do PiP the streaming freezes. I have to force close the app a couple of times to get it to work properly.
Issue with Version 3.30.0 full screen display
I’ve relied on the Owlet camera and Dream Sock for over 2 years. I’ve found both devices and app updates to be reliable and consistent. However, this latest update does not appear to have been tested well. I reported a bug in version 3.30.0 that seriously degrades the value of the app and it has not been repaired yet. In fullscreen screen display using both the Owlet camera and Dream Sock the heart rate and O2 saturation information appear in intermittently and flash at the top of the screen. Sometimes you can’t even read it. Oddly enough when you exit full screen and scroll the information is there and does not flash. This is a serious issue that has been acknowledged by Owlet. These devices are expensive and I rely on them for safety. Why hasn’t this issue been fixed yet?
Lock screen live activities would go a long way
Enable live activities for sleep sessions so you can see vitals on your lock screen. Would be a game changer for sleep deprived parents trying to unlock their phones and find the app to check on vitals in the night. Amazing product all around though that has provided so much peace of mind with both of my boys. A must for any SIDS concerned parent, which should be everyone.
Never truly works when I need it to
Picture this, as soon as you get baby down, after multiple tries, then, you open the owlet app. It reads "Owlet Cam Offline". Then it tells you to reset the camera, which requires you to reach over baby for 4 loud, annoying beeps. You attempt to restart wifi. No dice. You got to "customer care" which are just long articles, diverting you from speaking to any real human being. Do I reset the camera? Not successfully. I don't want to wake baby, and I end up needing to spend nap time in the nursery just clicking through support articles and figuring out what I need to do. Then, baby wakes up, and I don't have any more time to deal with it. I'm writing this review because this has happened to me 7/10 times, and its been irritating enough to make me regret putting this Big Brother device in my baby's nursery. This exhausted mom at nap time gives this experience a true 0/5 stars.
Sicherheitsgefühl für Frühchenmamas
Unser Sohn ist ein Frühchen und hatte zu Beginn mit HF & SaO2% Abfällen im Krankenhaus zu kämpfen. Die Socke haben wir gekauft um uns ein Sicherheitsgefühl zu geben und ruhiger schlafen zu können. Wir sind beides Mediziner, dennoch hatten wir natürlich Angst. Die Messwerte sehen wir uns kaum an (ansonsten macht man sich auch eher verrückt). Die Socke alarmiert zuverlässig (eher einmal zu viel, als zu wenig - was sehr gut ist). Schade finde ich, dass man sie nicht unterwegs nutzen kann, da die Station eine wlan Verbindung benötigt. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es allerdings dafür, dass die Reichweite von Socke und Station wirklich viel zu klein ist. Sobald wir das Schlafzimmer verlassen mit Kind und Socke, in dem die Station steht, gibt es Alarm. Das heißt, wenn der Kleine irgendwann in seinem eigenen Zimmer schlafen soll, kann die Basisstation nicht im Elternschlafzimmer bleiben. Ja, es gibt Benachrichtigungen aufs Handy, jedoch hab ich von ein paar Fällen gelesen, wo das nicht zuverlässig funktioniert hat. Wir würden uns wünschen, dass die Verbindung zwischen Socke und Basisstation eine deutlich größere Reichweite hat, damit die Station im elternschlafzimmer bleiben kann.
Constant bugs
The app keeps freezing and the camera picture disappears all the time. I have to exit the app every time I want to go back to it. The camera also freezes and shows an old video. Not reliable at all to keep an eye on your baby!

Great concept, awful execution
You can’t export any sleep logs. After the recent update I have been getting a sock placement issue every hour, which wakes me and my newborn up. Fix your software or atleast check it before pushing an update. If there was another product you can guarantee I will leave this product as soon as possible.

Not worth the money
Pairing is as painful as smashing your face into a brick wall. There’s no PC/web access just phone app only. The sock was an absolute waste of money. Just buy a cheap general cam nothing special about Owlet to warrant the premium price.

I love the sock but the APP is SO slow . Like just the last week it’s been awful . It like freezes constantly and I try to scroll or click and nothing works . Takes minutes to load anything
