iPad view
Customer for over 10 years and the apt works fine for the functions I use, but it is not fun to get aggravated every time you open the apt on my iPad and I have to change to a vertical view! Why can't this app be opened in landscape?? Seems like a simple fix for iPad viewing. Otherwise, excellent bank and friendly folks at my local branch in Boerne, TX.
The update introduced some bugs
With the latest upgrade, when you click the Accounts icon, it logs you out of the app. When you try to log on again, you get an error message. You have to quit the app in order to be able to log on again.

I liked the old online banking. I could look at a transaction & know exactly who the money was sent to. Now it is confusing. It also seems slower.

So mad about loosing the branch near me in Hondo, TX Then you leave the crummy location in Castroville open & the parking is almost non existent & drive thru is cramped & horrible to get in & out of. That is now my closest branch. So if I have to use a ATM then I have to park & walk up for this or drive up & then back back out. If it wasn’t so time consuming I would have already closed accounts & will be doing that this next year. Just takes time with direct deposits & auto drafts. The employees in the branch in Castroville are fine, it’s not their fault. Also now for a second time when I have gone to a branch to make a withdrawal they have taken it out of an account that I sign on with parents, which causes a problem. I have shared this before & never heard a word.

Has all the functionality needed with issues
The app and website have all the functionality I need. But there are issues. The font is very small and on the app, even with the system settings to make all fonts large the app does not honor it. The statements are printed is very tiny print as well. My 94 year old mother has extreme difficulty reading it. (Her other banks print in extra large font.) We want printed copies of statements at all times, but their app lets you choose one or the other eliminating the one you do not choose. No other bank does this and I've banked at 7 other institutions. I have reported these items over a year ago, and seen no improvement so far.

No Challenge Questions Offered - Can’t Login
I am temporarily without cell service and cannot login to my account due to a fault within the identity verification process. Because I am temporarily without cell service I cannot verify my identity via call or text. A third verification option, challenge questions, would allow me to overcome this. However, the security questions are not being offered. I went to a physical branch expecting for this to be easily overcome, but was told that the online banking specialists have no way to either reset your account, nor force the system to ask the challenge questions. Basically, without cell service there is NO way to login to my account. And, being physically present with multiple forms of proof of identity are of no value. This seems to be a fundamental flaw of the system and a failure of coding their specialists when an in person client cannot gain access to their own information. I’ve never encountered this issue with another bank.
Possible improvements
I enjoy using the Broadway Bank app, but have some suggestions for improvement. When making mobile deposit, I should NOT have to click on the account number for every check. 1) After depositing a check, it should remain on the same account until I change it manually. Regularly I am depositing multiple checks & almost always they are into the same account. OR 2) Have a toggle like switch for the customer to select what they prefer: A) Remain on the same account for additional deposits until changed manually. B) Clear the account after every deposit & require the customer to select the account for every check deposited. Please make this easier for your customers. Thank you

constantly locks me out
this app is clunky and terrible. why is it when i put my password in it says it’s wrong, then when i go to change it, it says my new password can’t be my current password? seriously? then it locks me out and i have to call the customer service line which takes 30mins minimum to be connected with anybody. when the app does let me in, any time i want to go to a setting or different page, it lags terribly and 9 times out of 10 i have to “scroll to see more content”. why not just have it right there on the screen when i click the button? why do i have to scroll unnecessarily? seriously whoever designed this app should stop designing.

Great Bank. Terrible technology.
Great bank with great people. They really support the local community. However, the app and other internet banking technology is terrible, the business app is also painful. I thought it would have gotten better after the new app rollout and getting through some bugs but I think it’s just the underlying app itself, the technology behind the app is bad. I bank with a number of other institutions whose app technology is leaps and bounds better. Broadway - check out Texas Tech FCU or GECU.
