Frankly, I’m so disappointed with Hinge. I narrowed my search by age and ethnicity, and all the likes I see are above or under that specific age bracket and a different ethnicity! How can that be useful to me?! I had to cancel 55 profiles this morning… none were interesting to me. Why is this app so bad?!

Thanks to hinge. I met a really wonderful man, I never knew I’d meet someone but we just clicked. Although many differences I do not know where this journey will take us. I am at peace 🦋I will continue to pray and keep God close to my heart to guide me. I pray for Matt also. Even if it doesn’t b work with us hinge was a good experience but I will choose not to use it again
Not great to meet someone compatible
Online dating feels like a gambling game you are destined to lose. Why should i have to swipe through hundreds of incompatible people when I’ve ticked what I’m looking for even in terms of LTR verses short term? Marine one day someone will invent one that is not just to make money and exploit single people

The women here are more beautiful than other APPs, but they have too many choices, so only ugly girls will match with you.
Night mode missing
Please add night mode my eyes are extremely sedative at night and the white light kills my eyes

The app is easy to use but I notice sometimes I get the same people and no diversity!! I use the free version. I was going to upgrade but I cannot see myself paying $30 a month. Price is wayyyy too high in this economy!!!
It’s what you make of it
It’s like most apps. I will say most of the people I find are more into what they say they are. They are honest about what they’re looking for. It’s easy to move on if you’re not on the same page. Like every app out there, it’s what you make of it.
All the boxes
I was on Hinge for less than a month before I met the man that checks all my boxes. So excited to deleted my account and see what lies ahead.
Banned for no reason.
I have done absolutely nothing wrong on this app. I’ve been sexually harassed on here, i met 2 people on here who tried to sexually assault me, i took a break from the app for years because of it, & when i finally redownloaded it much later on i started making a lot of good friends and solid connections & stayed safe. i never had a problem with it on my end i verified myself, i had great chats, no inappropriate conversations, never asked for money, didnt try to get peoples personal info, never fought anyone or got into any tiffs nothing. i did literally NOTHING & got banned for life even after spending money on the app before. its ridiculous, & when i wrote a long appeal they double downed on the ban for 0 reason and wont even tell you why. Don’t waste your time or money on this app they don’t care about their users, & they’ll allow ACTUAL CATFISHES and assaulters, & disrespectful people to slide on there constantly but an actual solid good user gets banned its ridiculous. joke of an app, & i joined a reddit thread full of people who have wrongfully been banned with 0 chance of appeal. they basically will steal your money & support 🍇 so good luck on this app everyone it’s pointless to use you’re better off just posting on social media and hoping someone messages your DMs.

Dating apps are tough buuuuut….
Hinge has probably been the one I’ve vibed with the most. Like all dating apps it’s luck of the draw. I’ve been on and off for years, but I’ve found my person and I’m thankful. I do think it’s more fate than the app, but the structure, prompts, and how this works is far better than bumble or feeld. You just have to accept there’s a lot of people not ready or got the apps apathy. Good things can happen tho :)

Can’t Prevent Trans from Showing Up In Algorithm.
It doesn’t make sense that there is no filter setting to remove trans people from your algorithm. I can only imagine what kind of complaints must come from this and how much danger it puts the trans person in. You are setting those vulnerable people up for failure and it just doesn’t make sense to me.

I’m receiving notifications but when I open the app there I not messages so I have to read form the notification and then reply in the app. So annoying

Customer service useless
The app itself is not bad, quite the same than other dating apps. But customer service is completely useless if you need them. I changed the phone, and to reconnect I need a code sent to my email. No matter what I tried, never received the email… And when you ask help to the customer service 😱 First they answer once every 2 days, then each time this is a different person, and each different person asks you the same basic questions, without even reading the previous emails (did you check the spams? Can you send screenshots). I guess they are paid by the number of email they answer, whatever if the answer is useful and solve the problem. HORRIBLE EXPENRIENCE

I’ll see a profile. They seem interesting, attractive, and a genuine possible match. OH WAIT! It says Queer under their orientation! No problem, respect to them, I swipe no so they can match with who they are looking for. But why should my feed and experience be filled with non-straight people when that’s not who I’m looking for?

Filters don’t seem to work
I keep getting shown female profiles and profiles of people I’m clearly not interested in, despite having my preferences and filters set. What’s the point of having filters if Hinge doesn’t actually use them? It’s frustrating to repeatedly see profiles that don’t match the preferences I’ve selected. The app should do a much better job of respecting users’ filters and showing relevant matches.

De bons sujets de conversations et pas de ghosting ou de match sans réponses … Aujourd’hui c’est envahi de maghrébines muslim 2.0 qui visiblement ont délaissé les app communautaires pour venir nous empoisonner avec leurs visions de michto de trouver un « homme capable » et polluer nos recherches …. À croire que de faire les « princesses » ça paye plus … obligé de venir sur hinge pour trouver de nouvelles proie … En gros ça m’a soûlé je suis retourné sur tinder …

Met my boyfriend on here and happy to say, I am able to delete the app. Don’t get me wrong it took a lot of trials LOL but it can work! So I’d recommend hinge especially compared to other dating apps!

Know what you are looking for, be open to others, if you filter wisely and commit to it, you’ll likely find interesting people (at least one - that’s all it takes after all)
Intentions need to change
Countless users who need to clarify what ‘short term relationships’ are mean that the categorisation doesnt work. Simplify it down to • long term relationship • going on dates • hookups Ive wasted so much time on this app with that confusion. It adds to the highs and lows that lead to app fatigue.

Matches & messages
The messages halfway show up and the other half disappears. The matches are utterly not my type, it’s getting ridiculous.
App is buggy
For a long time, updates after updates some bugs have persisted. The profile pictures get mixed up when you open the app. The messages from other person surface late when you are inside a chat in the meanwhile you have sent another message without reading the last message from the other person. The cross button from profiles browsing page persists through other pages. And then some useful feature gaps. At least chats should have a reply button, an in app call should be provided.

Reducing more free access
Having the option to undo a dislike, for free, was one of Hinge’s only upsides in comparison to Bumble. Now that’s gone. All we’ve got left is the ability to browse our Like’s profiles, freely; how long until that’s gone too, and Hinge just becomes another money hungry platform like the rest? 😞

I’m not sure if there’s bugs happening but my hinge doesn’t show up messages unless I in & out about twice and it doesn’t show my entire chat thread. Is there something wrong???
