I’m being completely honest. If you aren’t willing to pay to win I wouldn’t start this game. I have dropped a thousand so far it gives you advantages that’s pretty substantial.
Recent update logged me out of my account
The game was really good, fun, and entertaining. However, one of the recent updates to the game logged me out of my account for some unknown reason and now I can’t seem to get back into it. I was above level 50 and now I pretty much have to start over! Also, the fact that these big money spending cheaters are ruining the fun for everyone else is unacceptable in my opinion! If you developers care about the game and its community, then please IP Ban the money spending cheaters and fix your game!

Very fun game never gets old
This game is extremely fun. I have created an account over the last 12 years on 3 separate occasions. Just got busy with life and it was kind of fun to start from scratch. I have played this current account for 5 years. Like most mobile games the more you spend the easier the game. But let’s be honest all hobbies cost money. This game has it all. If you want a chill castle builder game it can be that. If you want people to play with there is alliances for that. If you want to go to war there is definitely that. If you want a new hobby and you are willing to budget a little bit of coin for it this is your game. Military strategy with a great helpful discord community.

One of the Best Games Out There
Starting off, I’d like to say I’ve been playing this game since it was released on PC, and for its more than a decade long life, I’ve been loving it. If you’re into MMO real time strategy games, this is absolutely perfect. With that being said, however, a message to the Devs: first, make it easier for newer players in the game. By level 30, if you’re unwilling to spend money, it becomes quite difficult to progress as many of the best buildings are premium currency to build and upgrade, and those that aren’t take hours upon hours to upgrade.shorten the upgrade times, and either make the premium buildings cheaper to build or make them basic resources. Secondly, I know that any game with a large community will have big spenders who’ll spend massive amounts on their account. But many people can’t, and this game has many large pay-to-win aspects that I’m not a big fan of. My suggestion would be to provide more premium currency for the same amount of money, that way it is more worth it to players to buy the currency, and make it possible for people to acquire event tokens, special gear, buildings, troops, without spending money to do so. I wholeheartedly believe this is one of the best games for medieval strategy and building, but these two things alone have hampered both new players who are discouraged by how much they have to pay in to get a good reward, and also by old players like me who get soft locked by premium currency as it costs so much to upgrade buildings the more you level up. These two things I feel could genuinely benefit the community and make it much easier for new players to play.

All of my time wasted
Grew up playing this game. Spent numerous hours on the game. For reasons out of my control, I had zero access to technology for three months. When I got my phone back, I checked into my castle and my account was deleted. I was a lvl 70+ had probably 5 years on that current castle. Not happy.
Could have been so good, but is entirely pay-to-win
The endgame is entirely pay to win. Full stop. All the top event winnings and best loot are behind a paywall that in *some* cases you can grind towards (but will take you a VERY long time to achieve that many rubies) but the whales (term for big spenders) will just buy every time and win. Ridiculous. Game had so much potential. Genuinely dislike these developers for what they did to a really cool and unique medieval game formula.

This game has so many layers of player development. But the player community can be a bit toxic. The game is 100% pay to player where you can easily find yourself spending $1000s of dollars per month trying to keep up. F2P players get bullied by guys with endless spending budget making it hard to develop your account. The game itself self is also greedy very few things can be earned for free and there are three different game currency needed to buy various tools and upgrades and all cost money. This is really not a casual players game

I am a long time player but I'm finding there is not much to offer people who don't use rubies witch is unfair the heroes or to hard to get and the current events or good but I think more would be good aswell as the events now this game has went from bad to worse not having sams attack you the bloodcrow dosnt attack ether and foss lords don’t attack the amount bugs is on another level the full game need change

Seriously, after starting an event you cannot go back to the main castle, hell knows what is going on. The pay to win I can understand.. it is a common thing for most of mobile games but a fact of no log out button or whatsoever is just a joke.

The Truth
This game is AMAZING but you have to be patient you can’t give this game a week and be done it’s a long term game most of the reviews I’ve read show people either not play long enough or just want to be mad at the game for having in game purchases. Most of the top players on the server do buy money but you can still get a really high rank F2P trust me as a low lvl player you think it’s ridiculous that a bakery is 650 rubies and buildings that also cost rubies but once you get to lvl 70 you can get upwards of 1,500 rubies per day and some times 3,000 rubies which means if you chose not to it’s your fault not the games fault for being called “Pay to win” the truth is you have to have time but I will say one more thing play the PC version it is 5 times better ;)
good game if you can afford
I have been playing this game almost 13 years. The money I spent in this game I could probably bought a house with the cost is so much money if you want to compete to be successful, you have no family no life no wife or and no sleep this game is 24 7 job. if you can handle all that it is great game if not, don’t even start playing this game because eventually you will quit after spending thousand dollar this is my two cents

I’ve been playing this game for more than 10 years, you can tell I want to play but one day I woke up to all my castles burned down, no troops, thousands and thousands of troops all slaughtered like if there was no point of having defenders. To recover from this military talking you need to spend more than $100 bucks or almost a month to recover the troops that you lost in battle. I have no coins no rubies no troops only restless castles with tons but tons of wood and rock :/ game I’m really unbalanced. You can start playing and you’ll find yourself in a trap nowhere to go but to a giant trap where big players will stomp you in seconds and you’ll back to the beginning.

Now unplayable
I’ve been playing this game now for over 6 years and it’s now virtually unplayable for 3 reasons; 1) Pop ups, basically GG adverts which appear pretty Much constantly whilst you try to play, 2) Bullies who constantly sabotage, (Plutos37, Green Army Stu) they are ruining the game, 3) GG allowing top players (Great Christian) to do pretty much what they like, when they hit lower players, not only can you not hit them back, but the damage they cause is soul destroying and it takes weeks to extinguish the fires. For those reasons, I’m no longer spending money and pretty much given up on the game.

Als Jahrhundert Update angekündigt, ist es leider ein totaler Reinfall. Ein vollfunktionsfähiges Angriffs-Menü wurde überarbeitet mit dem Ergebnis, dass es nicht mehr möglich ist Angriffe auf andere Spieler oder Eventziele durchzuführen. Mit der Hoffnung dass das alte Angriffsmenü wieder hergestellt wird vergebe ich noch 3 Punkte.
Font size
I love the game. I hate how small the font size is. I understand there is a lot going on in the game but making an option to be able to change font size would be amazing. I know I’m not alone in this.
Cheaters Allowed
I’ve been playing this game for over 13 years and known players who admittedly exploited the game to take advantage of unlimited resources via third party yet the game owner/ developer still allowed these player continue to play the game against their policy. I’ve wasted my time and money developing my castle to be competitive while these players get them almost instantly. I can’t continue to play this game that allowed cheating and bullying. I suggest apple store shutdown this game.

Empire 4 kingdoms
Also known as Empire of adverts and offers, Decent game but why do I have to delete my way through 20 to 30 special offers and deals before I can even log in?!! Even during the game more offers pop up that you have to again delete before being able to carry on. Once you recover from repetitive strain syndrome after the amount of times you delete the game can be fun, but as per other reviews, Rubies rule. You need to spend money to get anywhere fast otherwise you will be here a while. C’mon GG, less adverts and offers = more game time.
Decent…
I’m a 3.7m might player in a top 10 alliance. 2.9k honour, and have a royal tower, along with a monument. People on the game complain that spenders dominate the game, and in some cases, they’re right. But in others they’re not. Roman Barricade, ZOMBIES and semper Fidelis are the top 3 alliances. Roman Barricade leading the way by far. You probably are looking at £50 a month if you want to join there. GG ruined the game when they changed the master blacksmith. Used to be able to get unlimited tools, now you only get 2k cheap ones and the unlimited tools are far too expensive, I think even for big players. For anyone who thinks 2k may be a lot, in nomads, they’ll last about 5 hits, and in glory comps, about 4, if not less. Before, I used to have about 500k of each tool, now lucky if I can keep 10k. Some alliances have a great chat. Got to have a sense of humour for some. In top 20 alliances, you’ll need to be prepared to spend a bit every so often. In a top 10 alliance, where I am, you’ll need to spend a bit more, more often. If you buy rubies, double check you know what you’re getting. I spent £5 on a 200% prime time, and with some extra bonuses. Should have got 19.5k rubies and a lot of skips, and I got 13k (would have got 6500 without ruby doubler, which I didn’t want to use anyway) and got no skips. Had 10 minutes left on prime time so should have got all the rewards. GG if you’re reading this, either refund me, or give me what I bought.

Developers No Longer Care
I have played this game for more than 10 years. Originally it was so much fun and things were pretty even but as time went on the Developers began to cater to a select group of players who spent the big bucks. Recently a large group of these big buck players were found to be cheating literally obtaining millions and in some cases billions of items they did not build or pay for (these figures are not mine but from the developers) Sure the developers were outraged and ranted about cheating on and on. After their investigation a large group of players were ejected from the game and their accounts were to be banned forever. Oh wait…the cheaters just happened to be a large group of big $$$ players…ooops. The developers naturally followed up on their outrage and threats and suspended these players SEVERELY for a week or so and then the big $$$ spenders were reinstated with a request: “please don’t cheat again because you make us look weak, and untrustworthy and like complete money grubbing hypocrites.” Now there is no fairness in the game and if you need help from the developers, they really don’t have time for the average player. Players have left by the hundreds but that no longer matters either. If you start playing, you’ll have fun for a little while but once you advance to higher levels you’ll get swallowed up by players who spend spend spend…

back in 2009 ish, this would install itself onto your computer as a trojan horse. 5 year ild me had no idea and just thought the game was good. pretty sure it was proven to steal your data but oh well its fun 😀
Money Rules
You’ll only get anywhere in this game if you’re willing to become homeless as you’re unable to pay your bills due to you spending all your money on rubies just to play in an alliance. It’s become ridiculous. I’ve been playing for 4 years and not spent a penny on it but have not really got anywhere due to that fact. It’s the developers greed that has single handed my ruined this game.
